Chapter 58 Divorce is an Option, but Never Losing!
The morning sunlight was warm and gentle.
Evelyn woke up from the soft bed, lazily propping up her perky little butt under the covers, her slender arms stretched forward with force like a sleepy little kitten.
She put on pure white sportswear and went to row a single-person kayak on the lake in the backyard as usual.
William had already washed and dressed neatly. He stood on the shore with a water bottle in his left hand and a clean towel draped over his right arm, waiting for Evelyn to come ashore.
"All the videos online about Debra insulting our hotel staff have been deleted, and the keyword searches have also been removed."
William handed Evelyn a white towel and considerately opened the water bottle, "Although there's still some discussion at the moment, it will soon be suppressed and probably won't have much impact."
"Of course, the Wellington Group's public relations and legal team is the best in Mugden. And Edward has taken over them all." Evelyn wiped the sweat beads trickling down her cheeks, breathing lightly.
"So, was it Edward who ordered the deletion?" William stared.
Evelyn flicked her lustrous hair lightly and tilted her head back to drink water, satisfied, but her gaze was ice-cold.
Her pure white neck formed a seductive curve just from drinking water, yet it made William's heart race.
"Safeguarding one's interests and avoiding risks. That's Edward's motto nowadays."
Evelyn raised the back of her hand to wipe off the water droplets on her lip and chuckled self-deprecatingly, "If I had met him at the mall first, I would never have liked this man, no matter what."
The wrong time, the wrong person.
She had a love affair with Edward, but it ended up like this.
"So, what's your plan for retaliation?" the general manager asked.
In Evelyn's seemingly innocent and beautiful eyes, there was a hint of a mischievous demon. She blinked and came up with an idea.
"The girl hasn't been discharged from the hospital yet, right? I'll go to the hotel for a meeting first, and then you accompany me to the hospital to see how she's doing."

Several hours later, KnightSpear Hospital.
Winnie, the girl Debra had defamed, had been transferred to a regular ward. When she saw the general manager personally coming to visit her, she hurriedly got up from her bed to greet her.
Evelyn quickly pressed her down and smiled warmly, "Lie down, Winnie. Don't be nervous. Your body is just recovering, and rest is important."
"Ms. Taylor, I'm sorry for causing you trouble!" The girl lowered her head in extreme shame. "I didn't know I had this illness. I didn't hide my condition. I really didn't expect it to turn out like this. It's all my fault."
"I checked your medical records. This is your first episode, and you didn't have this symptom before. It doesn't count as hiding your condition, so don't blame yourself." Evelyn smiled faintly.
"For the hospitalization expenses, please deduct them from my salary!"
"No need. This counts as a work-related injury, and the hotel will reimburse you."
"Ms. Taylor, thank you." Winnie was both grateful and heartbroken, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"I came here this time to ask you something." Evelyn became serious, her voice clear and gentle. "Regarding Debra's matter, what do you want to do?"
"Debra is from the Wellington Group. I have no power or influence. What can I do? Besides, I managed to suppress the videos online this morning. It seems that small people like us don't even have the power to use the media to speak up anymore." Winnie hung her head in disappointment.
"The Wellington Group may not give you that power, but I will." Evelyn narrowed her eyes, her red lips moved, and each word she spoke carried weight.
Winnie exclaimed in surprise, "You want..."
"If you want Debra to apologize to you, you will need to expose this incident further, and it may impact your life. So, I'm here to ask for your opinion; after all, you are the party involved. Although I am your boss, I cannot disregard your feelings and make decisions on my own," Evelyn calmly said.
"I want Debra to apologize to me, even if it's just privately..."
"I don't want a private settlement; I only want a public one." Evelyn was always concise and didn't waste words.
"Do you mean you want her to apologize to me publicly? That's impossible!" Winnie exclaimed in disbelief, her mouth hanging open.
"Winnie, Debra could never reconcile with you. She publicly humiliated you in front of so many people and would never apologize," William said gently.
"If we force her to apologize in public, she will have no choice but to do so," he continued.
"Ms. Taylor, forget it. I don't want to trouble the hotel or bother you," Winnie quickly said, shaking her head in fear.
"Don't worry, if Debra dares to retaliate against you, she would be asking for death. Besides, I have my considerations for doing this," Evelyn said with a smile, her competitive spirit ignited.
"If you agree, let me handle this matter. I won't let my employee suffer in vain," she added.
Edward's attempt to suppress it won't work!
I can get a divorce, but I cannot lose!
After leaving the hospital room, Evelyn put her sunglasses back on, concealing her competitive eyes. Then, she dialed Ulysses' phone number.
"Evelyn, you finally realized your conscience and contacted me!" Ulysses said in a whiny and aggrieved tone. "You don't even know how Simon made fun of me for being abandoned by you. I'm so anxious! Damn it, I cannot lose to him!"
"You are my brothers, not my lovers. Don't make me look like a promiscuous person, okay?" Evelyn replied speechlessly.
Ulysses continued to act, turning into the tragic male lead. "You actually used the word 'please' with me. I should quickly return to your side. In a couple of years, you will forget my handsome face."
"Ulysses, are you ever going to stop? I need your help with something!" Evelyn couldn't tolerate it anymore, and her outburst drew the attention of passing doctors and nurses.
"This is a beautiful girl. Why is she so hot-headed?" someone whispered in passing.
"Right, speak nicely, and I'll be comfortable. So, tell me, what's the matter?" Ulysses asked, smiling.
Evelyn's gaze darkened, and she lowered her voice. "Tomorrow, I will release a video, and I hope you can use some special methods to prevent it from being deleted immediately."
"How long do you want it to stay?"
"At least until the news has spread."
"Simple. But Evelyn, if I help you, shouldn't you show some appreciation?" Ulysses' voice was lazy, with a hint of hoarseness, especially tempting.
"Fine, tell me your conditions," Evelyn's eyebrows raised, showing her dominance.
"I want to take on Edward, can I?" Evelyn was speechless.
"Get lost!"

The next day at the Wellington Group, sitting at the head of the massive conference table, Edward's beautiful eyes were cold and his handsome face exuded a noble and delicate aura. Just by sitting there, his presence was intimidating, particularly aloof and proud.
"Drecock East District's land must be acquired as soon as possible. All departments must communicate and coordinate the bidding process in a timely manner. Edward, responsible for the land, said..."
During the process, someone took out their phone and glanced at it, suddenly widening their eyes and patting the person next to them.
Immediately, one after another, in just a few seconds, almost everyone in the meeting room knew what had happened. The news spread faster than a virus!
"Is this your first-day meeting with me? Don't you know my rules?" Edward coldly raised his eyes, intimidating everyone.
At that moment, his phone also vibrated.
Edward lowered his gaze, tapped the screen twice with his fingertips, and suddenly widened his eyes!
After the meeting, Edward's expression turned unpleasant in his office.
"Didn't I tell you to delete Debra's video? How did it end up trending again?"
"It was sent out this morning, and our PR team didn't have time to react!"
Bart anxiously wiped his forehead, "I've already contacted Twitter to remove the trending and delete the video, but we can't take it down!"
"We can't take it down? Do you find this joke amusing?"
Edward furrowed his brow, his tone as cold as ice, "Within half an hour, I don't want to see the words 'Debra Wellington' trending again!"
As long as it threatened the Wellington Group, he would kill it at the source.
"Mr. Wellington! Look at this!"
Bart panicked and quickly placed his phone in front of Edward.
At that moment, the top trend had already changed:
#AngelGirlRescuesHotelStaff#
Edward furrowed his brow, suspiciously clicking on the trend.
The next second, a strong anger surged within him, his pupils constricting.
In the video, Lily rescues a female staff member that day. The entire process, including her face, was captured!
His ex-wife was exposed, and more and more people were becoming familiar with her. He inexplicably felt more and more anxious.
