Chapter 333 Evelyn Arrived at KnightSpear Group

Edward's eyes widened suddenly, "Not here anymore? What do you mean?"

The executive secretary explained, "Two days ago, the hotel issued the latest appointment notice internally. Ms. Taylor has been transferred back to KnightSpear Group headquarters and officially stepped down as the general manager of KS WORLD Hotel. Her position at the headquarters will be arranged later."

Edward asked, "Then what about the hotel here?"

The executive secretary replied, "Victor Walsh from KS WORLD's overseas branch will be transferred back to take over Mugden's KS WORLD."

The executive secretary thought of Evelyn's busy figure every day and the unforgettable time working with her, and couldn't help but show a gratified smile, "Ms. Taylor delivered an outstanding performance in less than a year, leading the declining hotel back on track, motivating the staff, and achieving results that hadn't been reached in the past ten years.

She added, "Mr. Taylor is very satisfied with Ms. Taylor's work, so transferring her back to headquarters was expected. With Ms. Taylor's capabilities, she should be developing on a broader platform."

Edward nodded frequently upon hearing this.

"Then, where can I see Ms. Taylor again?" Edward asked anxiously and felt a bit lost.

The executive secretary couldn't help but laugh, "How would I know Ms. Taylor's whereabouts? Mr. Wellington, are you really worried about not being able to find Ms. Taylor?"

Edward felt a wave of disappointment in his heart.

Hameen, KnightSpear Group Headquarters.

The KnightSpear Group's skyscraper towered into the clouds, located in the most bustling and expensive CBD area of Hameen, making it a landmark building.

At that moment, at exactly three in the afternoon, employees from all departments were peeking out, watching a line of suit-clad executives from the group hurrying to the first floor.

The news of Evelyn coming to KS had already spread throughout the entire group, and even the cleaning staff knew about it!

"What a grand reception! Are all these people here to welcome Evelyn from the Taylor family?"

"Even though she's Mr. Taylor's daughter, she's not an executive within KnightSpear Group. Does she really deserve such a high-level reception?"

"I heard that in the past year since Evelyn took over the Mugden KS WORLD Hotel, the hotel has been thriving, gaining a great reputation, and its performance has increased more than tenfold! Mr. Taylor saw her outstanding work capabilities, so Evelyn would likely be working within the group in the future!"

"Who knows if she really achieved those results herself? Maybe Mr. Taylor was helping her behind the scenes.

"A girl in her early twenties, playing with jewelry and design is fine, but managing a group? Can she handle it?"

"Alright, stop talking, she's here!"

In the group's first-floor lobby, executives held their breath, dressed in a uniform black suit, standing in two rows.

This was KS's rule. On important days for the group or when receiving important figures like Charlie, all participating executives must wear the group's uniform suit, with the KS totem badge on their chest, looking neat and extremely meticulous.

A Rolls-Royce stopped at the main entrance, and William got out first, respectfully opening the car door.

The first to step out was President Landon.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Taylor!" The two executives who came out to greet him bowed deeply.

Landon nodded slightly, turned around, and extended his clean right hand, a doting smile appearing on his lips.

"Evelyn."

"I'm here."

After a crisp and pleasant response, Evelyn placed her hand in Landon's palm and stepped out of the car.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Taylor!"

Evelyn nodded slightly, "Thank you for waiting. It's quite cold outside, let's go inside."

"Do you want me to show you around the group first, to get familiar with the environment?" Landon asked softly, with a gentle smile.

"That's not urgent. I want to see the office you prepared for me first," Evelyn replied.

Landon's expression was warm and gentle, "Alright."

Landon led Evelyn towards her office, with only William following behind.

"Landon! Evelyn!"

Landon and Evelyn stopped in their tracks and turned around.

They saw Bradley Taylor, dressed impeccably, with a bright smile. He was striding towards them, followed by his secretary and several subordinates.

"Bradley." Evelyn greeted me with a polite but not overly enthusiastic smile.

The middle-aged man walking towards them, with a friendly smile and elegant demeanor, was Charlie's only younger brother and currently the vice chairman of KnightSpear Group, Bradley.

Bradley wasn't as handsome as Charlie. Compared to Charlie's stern and imposing presence, Bradley was much more approachable, always smiling.

"Evelyn, it's been years, and you've become even more beautiful!" Bradley said with a delighted smile as he looked at Evelyn.

"It's been years, and you look younger and more energetic," Evelyn replied politely.

"Evelyn, you still know how to talk just like when you were a child!"  Bradley with a smile.

Bradley then smiled at Landon, "Landon, I see you're heading in this direction. Are you taking Evelyn to see her new office?"

Bradley added, "I heard from your dad that Evelyn will be starting at the group soon. Which department? What position? I'm not too busy today, so how about I show Evelyn around to get familiar with the environment?"

Facing Bradley's enthusiasm, Landon and Evelyn exchanged a glance. Landon said calmly, "Everything will be arranged by my father. I believe he will give Evelyn a position that suits her, a platform where she can showcase her talents. Once there's news, you'll be the first to know."

Bradley replied, "Great! Looking forward to Evelyn's good news!"

Bradley suddenly remembered something and smiled at Evelyn, "By the way, Evelyn, I heard you're joining the group. Lori specially prepared a gift for you, and it's already been delivered to your office. Go take a look!"

Lori Taylor was Bradley's only daughter and Evelyn's cousin.

"Really? Lori was very thoughtful." Evelyn's lips curved slightly.

They walked towards the office.

"Evelyn, look, what are those?" William's eyes widened, pointing towards the door.

Evelyn frowned slightly and also saw the two conspicuous large objects at the door.

A few passing employees pointed and snickered.

As they got closer, Landon and Evelyn's expressions suddenly darkened.

Placed at the entrance of Evelyn's office were two huge funeral wreaths!

"Bradley, is this the welcome gift your daughter prepared for Evelyn?" Landon's face was stern and cold, his gaze towards Bradley icy.

Bradley initially wanted to deny it, but seeing Lori's name on the wreath ribbons, he couldn't argue and forced a smile, "Lori has been studying design in Lisbun, and their customs are the opposite of ours. They send wreaths for happy occasions, so..."

"But now she's back in the country. If she doesn't change some habits in time, won't people think she lacks common sense?" Landon ignored his excuses, his tone growing colder.

Bradley continued, "Come on, Lori meant well."

Evelyn said, "Exactly, Landon, she had good intentions."

Unexpectedly, Evelyn wasn't angry. Instead, she smiled, showing her magnanimity in front of the subordinates, "As leaders, we need to have a broader perspective, with more tolerance and understanding."

She added, "Every employee has their own beliefs, habits, and cultural differences. With over ten thousand employees at KnightSpear Group, if we get bogged down by these small matters every day, we wouldn't get anything else done, right?"

Landon's gaze softened, and he nodded gently, "You're right."

Bradley listened to them referring to "leaders" and "employees," feeling that they were looking down on Lori as if she were a low-level worker!

Bradley was furious inside but could only force a laugh on the surface.

"William, please take these wreaths away." Evelyn lazily instructed, then suddenly smiled at Bradley, "Bradley, don't misunderstand. It's not that I don't like Lori's gift. Her handwriting isn't very good, and with so many people passing by, I'm afraid it would embarrass Lori."

The subordinates behind them tried hard to suppress their laughter.

Bradley's smile gradually stiffened.

Landon and Evelyn entered the office.

As soon as the door closed, Evelyn let out a cold laugh. She crossed her arms and sat on the sofa, "I haven't even officially joined the group, and Lori is already eager to cause trouble for me. How foolish."

Landon personally poured a cup of warm water for Evelyn and handed it to her, sighing helplessly, "She's been competing with you for half her life and has never won. If I were her, I would have given up long ago. But she seems quite resilient, getting stronger with each setback."

Evelyn replied, "I suppressed her when we were kids, and she thinks she can turn the tables now that we're grown?"

Evelyn took a leisurely sip of water, her eyes darkening, "It's not like before. If she dares to mess with me and harm my interests, I won't care about family ties."

Landon smiled, "Of course you won't. You never let yourself suffer any loss."

Landon sat beside Evelyn, putting his arm around her shoulder, and said softly, "Once you start working, you'll find that this is a different battlefield, ten times more challenging than KS WORLD. You must be extra careful in your actions.

He added, "Especially with Bradley. He now has a faction supporting him within the group, and Dad has been lenient with him because he's his only brother. When dealing with Bradley in the future, you need to be more mindful and cautious."

Evelyn replied, "I understand."

Evelyn's eyes were as deep as a pool, "If they behave and stay in line, I won't treat them poorly, and everyone will be happy. But if they have ulterior motives, they shouldn't blame me for being ruthless."

Landon squinted, "You talk big, but don't forget. Bradley is now the vice chairman of the group."

Evelyn arrogantly lifted her delicate chin, "And my dad is the chairman! Who's afraid of whom?"

"By the way, did you tell Edward about leaving KS WORLD?" Landon suddenly asked.

Evelyn blinked and pursed her red lips, "Why should I tell him? Who is he to me?"

Landon was momentarily stunned and then smiled bitterly, "True."

At that moment, Evelyn's phone vibrated.

Evelyn took out her phone.

The screen showed Gilbert's name.

Landon glanced at the screen without showing any emotion, his brows tightening.

He would have preferred the caller to be Edward rather than seeing this name now.

"Gilbert?" Evelyn answered, her tone very calm.

"Evelyn, I'm in Hameen right now."

On the phone, Gilbert's voice was gentle, accompanied by the unique sea breeze of Hameen, low and filled with deep affection, "I think you must be in Hameen too. Is it convenient? I'd like to meet you."

Evelyn glanced at her watch, a bit surprised, "Now?"

Gilbert said gently, "If it's not convenient, it's okay. I can wait for you. No matter how long, I'm willing to wait."
