Chapter 105 It's Not Over with the Wellington Family!

Hearing Nicole's evasive words, Byron's heart sank. "What's wrong? What happened to Lily?!"

Edward felt uneasy too.

"Nicole, just spill it. We're all friends here," Tiffany urged, her eyes cold.

"I was walking around the villa and saw Ms. Brown and Mr. Taylor go into the same room. Mr. Taylor was drunk, so I figured Ms. Brown went in to help him," Nicole said innocently. "At first, I panicked, but then I remembered they’re a couple, so it’s not a big deal."

Edward's eyes widened, his fists clenching.

Charlie was shocked, standing up abruptly. "My son is with who? Lily? Who is Lily?!"

"Yes," Nicole said, looking at Edward with a pitiful expression.

Edward felt a rush of blood to his head and left without a word, leaving everyone in shock.

Nicole smirked inwardly. 'Lily, this time, I'll ruin your reputation and make you a disgrace in Edward's eyes!'

"You still haven't told me! Who exactly is this Lily?!" Charlie demanded, his temples throbbing.

'That's my eldest son, the one I had high hopes for. How could any random woman go after him?!'

"So, Mr. Taylor, you didn't know?" Rex Ingram feigned surprise. "At the birthday party, they confirmed their relationship. I saw Donna and Lily close at the charity auction before, so I thought you approved."

"What? Donna knows her too?!" Charlie's face changed, his jaw tightening.

'That Lily has deep schemes, seducing my son and getting close to my woman!'

"Enough! How Lily and Landon interact is their business! No need to bring it up!" Byron, caring for Lily, didn't want to hear Tiffany's sarcastic remarks.

"Byron, it's not entirely their private matter," Tiffany said, her eyes darkening. "Lily and Edward have only signed the divorce papers; they’re not officially divorced. Technically, she’s still part of the Wellington family. We planned to announce Edward and Nicole's engagement after your 80th birthday. Nicole has endured a lot because of Lily. Now, Ms. Brown made things difficult for us at your party by exposing her relationship with Landon. It’s awkward for the Wellington family."

Nicole and Debra exchanged glances, almost laughing inside.

Charlie was stunned, his mind blank.

' Landon, single for thirty years, actually fell for Edward's wife?!'

Edward was running frantically down the corridor.

He had always been noble, elegant, and composed, like a young man from an old aristocratic family. It had been years since anyone unsettled him.

But now, hearing that Lily and Landon were alone in a room, he was completely flustered, only wanting to stop it and bring her back.

'Lily, I won't let Landon touch you!'

Reaching the room door, Edward's eyes were bloodshot, his breathing heavy, and sweat pouring down.

'Inside, had everything already happened? How far had they gone? Was it too late to stop it?'

Edward felt a sharp pain in his chest, gritting his teeth, about to knock on the door when it suddenly opened!

He saw Evelyn, panting and supporting a disheveled Landon, standing in front of him.

Evelyn was stunned at the sight of Edward.

Edward's hand froze in mid-air, his breathing unsteady, and his lips trembling.

"What are you doing here?"

Evelyn's heart tightened, then she sneered, "Looks like the news spread. You must be here to laugh at us."

"Did he touch you?" Edward's fingers tensed, his face pale.

"It's none of your business, get away!"

Evelyn's forehead was sweaty, and she just wanted to help Landon. She pushed past Edward, heading down the corridor.

But Edward wouldn't let her go. He grabbed her arm, leaving red marks on her skin.

His eyes were red with possessiveness. "Did he touch you? Lily, answer me!"

"Landon was drugged at your Wellington family party!" Evelyn glared at him, her eyes full of hatred.

"What did you say?" Edward was shocked.

"I've barely managed to control the drug's effects, but I don't know what else might happen. I need to get him to the hospital now!"

Evelyn's eyes reddened as she shook off Edward's grip. "Edward, I don't have time for this. If anything happens to Landon because of your family, I won't let it go! You'll pay for this!"

Her words cut through him like knives, leaving him feeling slapped and humiliated.

He never thought Lily would defend Landon so fiercely, nor had he seen such fierce beauty in a woman's eyes.

"Lily, come back!" Edward called out, his voice desperate.

But she didn't stop.

Just then, hurried footsteps approached.

"Lily! Lily!"

It was Byron's anxious voice.

Evelyn paused, supporting the dazed Landon, and turned around.

Her face turned pale as she saw her father, Charlie, standing with the Wellington family.

Charlie saw Evelyn's face and was incredulous. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating.

Evelyn's throat tightened, unable to speak.

Panic, shame, guilt, and countless emotions surged through her.

"Mr. Taylor, Byron, Edward, you all saw that, right?" Nicole seized the moment, glaring at Evelyn. "Ms. Brown's actions have embarrassed both families! Edward said he'd officially divorce her after Byron's birthday. Byron loves her so much. Couldn't she endure a bit for his sake? As Edward's fiancée, I've made many concessions for Byron's birthday, but Ms. Brown has been hypocritical, doing things that embarrass Byron and the Wellington family."

"Mr. Taylor, Lily hasn't even settled things with Edward and is already throwing herself at your son, even being alone with Landon at Grandpa's birthday party. Is she that desperate? Would you really let such an indiscreet woman date Landon?"

"Nicole!" Edward's anger surged.

Nicole trembled under Edward's icy gaze.

But she had already spoken and couldn't back down. This was her chance to bring Lily down, even if Edward held a grudge.

"Lily, you and Landon..." Byron looked at Lily's stiff face, unsure what to say.

Patrick shook his head, thinking it was fortunate that Edward and Lily had broken up; otherwise, such a fickle woman would have disgraced the family.

"Well, young people sometimes can't control themselves, which is understandable," Tiffany sighed, pretending to be understanding. "Fortunately, only our family knows about tonight's incident, and it hasn't spread outside. In my opinion..."

"Evelyn, come here," Charlie interrupted Tiffany coldly.

Everyone looked at each other in confusion.

'Evelyn, who is Evelyn? Who is he calling?'

Unexpectedly, Evelyn took a hesitant step forward, her cheeks flushed, and called out shyly:

"Dad."
