Chapter 60 She Lost Her Radiance

"Did you hear that? This woman actually wants me to apologize to that waitress, hahaha... How dare she say that?" Debra doubled over in laughter, clutching her stomach, and her two friends behind her shook with laughter as well.

"Debra came to your hotel to consume, with her necklace broken and the service poor. Can't she say a few words about it?"

"That's right! How dare you come here and make Debra apologize? Is this hotel yours? When will it end?"

William narrowed his eyes, thinking to himself that if these two idiots knew that the woman in front of them owned all KS World Hotels in the country, they would probably be so scared that they would want to cut off their tongues.

"Aren't you afraid that this incident will impact the image of the group that Edward has worked so hard to maintain? Aren't you afraid of tarnishing the face of the Wellington Group?" Evelyn glanced at her coolly.

"Don't try to scare me. I'm not the group's president, so I don't care."

Debra rolled her eyes dismissively. "Besides, as president, he should be working hard for the Wellington Group, taking on all the risks, and dealing with these matters. Otherwise, why is he sitting so high up? When my dad made him president, he should at least achieve some results to show everyone, right?"

The surrounding waitstaff were amazed by these words.

Evelyn couldn't help but sneer.

This family appeared harmonious on the surface, but behind the scenes, they all used each other for their purposes.

Debra looked down on Edward. To her and her mother, this "illegitimate child" was just a tool for them to clean up their messes. They pretended to be amicable to him but secretly held him in contempt.
Years ago, she married Edward and, early on, realized that this family was no good. If it weren't for her deep love for that man, she wouldn't have been able to stay a single day in this kind of family.

"Ms. Debra, even if you don't consider the Wellington Group's reputation, you should at least consider your own, right?"

"Don't scare me! Let me tell you, Lily, just because Mr. Taylor supports you doesn't mean I'm afraid of you. The Wellington family isn't afraid of you either!"

Debra crossed her arms and acted like a shrew, saying, "Where are the security guards? Kick this peasant woman out! She's ruining the sophistication of our boutique!"

Two security guards were immediately ordered to approach Evelyn, ready to drag her away.

Evelyn remained seated, unmoving. William furrowed his brow and swiftly kicked the security guards, sending them flying!

He was, after all, a black belt in Taekwondo and had more than enough skills to handle these two security guards!

Debra screamed in fear, but the surrounding waitstaff was excited, and their faces turned red!

Someone shouted, "So cool, man! Handsome guy, can I add you on WhatsApp?"

"Since you're so clueless, I have no choice but to negotiate," Evelyn said, picking up her phone and gesturing for Debra to come closer. "Come, I'll show you something good."

Afraid to show weakness in front of so many people, Debra reluctantly approached the woman who scared her.

She leaned closer to the phone screen and was shocked, angry, and humiliated!

Evelyn calmly scrolled through the pictures, one after another, each one more explicit and boundary-pushing than the last!

All of them were from that night at the hotel, pictures of her in bed with those two male models, even including photos of the three of them passionately kissing and touching each other...

What's going on?! She had clearly asked those two to delete the pictures, but could it be...

Evelyn no longer presented any more for her "enjoyment" and calmly put away her phone. "My request is simple. I publicly apologize, and I'll delete these pictures without keeping a copy. If you insist on not apologizing, you should know what I'll do."

Debra's lips trembled in anger, and she felt a sense of panic!

Her mother, Tiffany, had doted on her since she was little, grooming her to marry into a wealthy family like the Clark Group. If these pictures were to be leaked, her reputation would be ruined. How could Eric still possibly be interested in her?!

Thinking of this, she suddenly became bold and reached out to grab Evelyn's phone!

Evelyn raised an eyebrow and swiftly dodged out of the way.

Debra grabbed empty air and ended up sprawled on the sofa, looking disheveled. Her eyes turned red, and without thinking, she raised her hand to slap Evelyn!

Slap!

The clear sound of a slap left everyone present stunned.

Evelyn's eyes glistened with coldness, and her strength was astonishing. She retaliated with a slap, knocking Debra to the ground.

"Ah!"
Debra's fair face was suddenly covered in five red finger marks!

All of this happened in the blink of an eye.

It happened so quickly that it was hard to keep up!

William was happy in his heart! She dared to hit Evelyn, and she definitely didn't want to live!

The two girls who had just said they would support Debra were scared; their faces turned pale, and they kept backing away, afraid of getting involved themselves.

"You actually hit me? You dare to hit me?" Debra stared at Evelyn's face in shock, her face numb from the pain.

"What else? Should I wait for a dog to bite me?" Evelyn coldly looked at her and clapped her hands.

"Dog, how dare you call me a dog?" Debra's face turned red with anger.

Just then, the door of the boutique opened.

Evelyn lifted her eyes and suddenly felt a chilling and bone-chilling breath, like a glacial gorge, rushing towards her.

The next second, Edward's tall and elegant figure appeared in the astonished gaze of the crowd.

The eyes of the former couple met, and they both froze for a moment.

Immediately, Evelyn shifted her gaze away from him as if she didn't recognize him, showing extreme indifference.

Edward pursed his thin lips, his eyes deep, feeling restless.

"Edward!"

Debra, as if she had seen a savior, got up, ran to Edward's side, and said, crying, "Lily has gone crazy! She actually hit me! You have to stand up for me!"

"It was me who hit her just now," Evelyn sneered, admitting it openly.

"What are you doing here?" Edward looked at her with a cold gaze.

"What do you think?"

Once, Lily used to look at him with eyes shining like a starry river, dazzling and radiant.

But now, she was like a puppet, and he couldn't find that eager light anymore.

Edward's chest suddenly tightened, and complex emotions fiercely tugged at his heart.

"Edward, Lily actually asked me to hold a press conference and apologize to her hotel staff! I disagreed, so she threatened me because she had climbed up to the Taylor family, and she hit me!"

Seeing that Edward was indifferent to her being hit, Debra cried and sobbed, "Edward! All these people are watching! They can all testify for me! I'm so wronged!"

"Lily, you already put the video online, allowing netizens to attack the Wellington Group, and now you want us to hold a press conference?" Edward furrowed his brows, his voice low and cold. "Isn't this going too far?"

William couldn't take it anymore and was about to step forward to argue with him, but Evelyn stopped him and stood in front of him to protect him.

This move directly angered Edward. Since the divorce, he found a gap to vent the grievances he suffered from his ex-wife.

"It's not too much. I think I'm seeking justice for my employees," Evelyn's eyes were hostile.

"Whether it's because of this or helping Landon, I won't let you succeed."
"There's nothing more to talk about, goodbye," Evelyn said with a raised eyebrow and a cold demeanor, put her hand in her pocket, and abruptly left.

"Wait, wait!" Debra realized she still had the photo in her hand and was desperate, sweating profusely. "Edward, Lily photoshopped an indecent picture of me and tried to defame me, forcing me to apologize! You can't just let her go like this!"

Edward's eyes filled with coldness as he quickly stopped her in her tracks.

"Hand me your phone," he commanded.

"Why should I listen to you? Who do you think you are?" Evelyn sneered, her anger boiling inside her chest.

Without hesitation, Edward swiftly took the phone from her palm.

Debra watched with hidden delight.

As Tiffany had said, Edward would always help her clean up the mess, truly a useful tool.

"Edward! Give it back to me!"

Evelyn was so frantic that her breathing became unstable as she reached out, pouncing like a little monkey, grabbing and scratching in an attempt to take it back.

However, her high heels caused her ankle to twist, and she fell straight into the man's warm and solid chest.

In their collision, Edward instinctively caught her, wrapping his large hand around her slender and enticing waist.

Evelyn felt both embarrassed and angry, her cheeks turning crimson like ripened cherries.

But her innocent white hand unintentionally glided over his well-shaped figure through the smooth fabric of his shirt.

Damn perfection.

Edward narrowed his dark eyes, his attention solely on the phone.

With one arm holding Evelyn's delicate waist, he tightly gripped her phone with his other hand.

0923, he remembered this as her password, wondering if she had changed it.

His thumb swiftly pressed the four digits, and the phone unlocked.
