Chapter 515 Conclusive Evidence

Edward's muscular arm was taut like a drawn bow, his eyes bloodshot, and his large hand clenched like iron, ready to teach Neil a lesson. Just then, a soft hand wrapped around his veiny fist.

"Edward, don't."

Edward's breath caught as he met Evelyn's starry eyes, and it was as if his entire being was immersed in a clear mountain spring, gradually calming him down.

Evelyn took a step forward and said arrogantly, "Neil, you can rest assured that Edward won't let any wrongdoer go unpunished, nor will he wrong any innocent person."

Her words clearly implied that the Clark Group was in the wrong!

"As for Barry's claim that Edward acted on my behalf to frame your Clark family, there are surveillance cameras everywhere. If I really wanted to frame you, wouldn't I leave some clues? How could there be no evidence pointing to you, and yet someone falsely accuses you of being the culprit?"

"You keep saying I hold a grudge against Jessica, so why wasn't it your Clark family's horse that got hurt? Why wasn't it her who got into trouble?"

Evelyn's words were truly compelling.

Everyone around nodded involuntarily, and even Sophia subconsciously felt it made sense!

"Evelyn!" Maurice's eyebrows twitched in frustration.

Evelyn's beautiful eyes were cold and sharp, and she smirked, "Let me say something that might sound harsh. If I really wanted to harm Jessica, I wouldn't have waited until today. I may not have many virtues, but I am ruthless enough. Framing someone is too low-level. If it were me, whatever happened to my horse would happen to her!"

Everyone was shocked! Evelyn was truly ruthless!

"Evelyn! You're too arrogant! How can you have such a vicious mindset?" Sophia, already weak, clutched her chest in anger, struggling to breathe.

"Mom, don't get upset. Your health is fragile," Jessica quickly supported her mother, her face full of resentment, but her eyes glared at Evelyn with hidden malice.

"Vicious? Sophia, do you think it's appropriate for you to say that?"

Joyce's expression was serious, her usually gentle voice now icy and intimidating, "Evelyn is just talking, but Jessica dared to act. Before the horse race started, Jessica slapped herself and tried to frame Evelyn. That news is still spreading. Have you forgotten? We all remember it clearly. Who is really vicious and who provoked first, don't you know in your heart?"

The Clark family mother and daughter turned red, unable to argue.

Charlie gazed at Joyce's stern profile, a hint of surprise in his eyes, raising an eyebrow.

Joyce, who had been with him for over twenty years, had always been gentle and timid. This was the first time she showed such a strong and authoritative side.

Charlie thought to himself, 'That's right, this is how it should be. Let outsiders see that no one in the Taylor family is easy to mess with.'

"Joyce is really good at debating. The Taylor family's upbringing is truly impressive!" Neil, as Maurice's spokesperson, seized every opportunity to retort, sparing no effort to appear loyal, "But no matter how eloquent you are, it doesn't change the fact! That you have slandered the Clark family's innocence and damaged our reputation, we will not let this go!"

"Evelyn, you've already won the horse race. What more do you want?" Maurice, unable to bear it any longer, sneered with a dark face, "Do you have to frame the Clark Group to elevate your own status, so no one can hinder your cooperation with Mr. Gavin, and you can be at ease and satisfied?"

Evelyn remained calm, but Gavin's expression was somewhat complicated.

It was clear he had been swayed by the Clark family.

Suddenly, almost simultaneously, everyone's phones started ringing.

"Aren't you curious about the content being pushed to you?" Edward's deep eyes narrowed slightly, exuding a chilling amusement.

Everyone looked at each other and took out their phones to check.

Even Evelyn, curious, took out her phone and opened Twitter.

The next second, her beautiful eyes widened, and her heart raced.

Such a grand horse race was certainly broadcast live by the event organizers. So the footage of Evelyn falling off her horse at the finish line quickly spread online.

Netizens were concerned about Evelyn's injuries, but everyone thought it was an accident, and no one suspected a conspiracy.

But the video that quietly appeared online gave everyone a big "surprise"!

"What is this?" Maurice, with his poor eyesight, couldn't see clearly at first.

But the other members of the Clark family looked grim and panicked!

The instigator, Jessica, gasped, her hand trembling, and her phone fell to the ground!

Although the footage was a bit shaky, it was still clearly visible.

In the video circulating online, Barry was seen looking around nervously before sneaking into the stable.

Then he pulled out a knife and quickly slashed SilverSteed's left leg before sneaking out of the stable.

Barry's face was clearly visible in the video, with the camera positioned right in front of the stable.

The evidence was irrefutable; he couldn't deny it!

"Maurice, Neil, what do you have to say now?" Seeing SilverSteed injured by a villain, Landon's eyes turned blood-red with rage!

Just a moment ago, he could still keep his composure and manage his emotions. But when he saw SilverSteed's strong, beautiful leg being cruelly slashed, the visual and psychological impact stirred the anger within him.

Landon even wanted to pull out his cross dagger and slit Barry's throat!

Maurice and Neil's expressions were grim; their earlier arrogance had now turned into embarrassment.

They couldn't possibly claim the person in the video was fake! No one was that foolish!

Bart sneered and shoved the screen in Barry's face.

Seeing the video of his crime being recorded, Barry's face turned ashen, and he muttered to himself, shaking his head, "How is this possible? There were no cameras. How is this possible?"

"Of course, we have solid evidence to catch you. Edward is too smart to act without proof," Bart said, enjoying Barry's stunned look.

Maurice and Neil finally realized.

Edward had waited until now to release the video just to watch them struggle, shout, and make fools of themselves in front of him.

The more arrogant and aggressive their words had been, the more ashamed they felt when the truth came out!

Evelyn gazed deeply at the man's handsome face, her lips curving in relief, her heart finally at ease.

She should have known; Edward was never one to act recklessly. He was a confidant with whom she could share secrets, a comrade she could fight alongside, a lover she could entrust her life to."Everyone, including Barry himself, must be curious. How did we get this perfectly angled video from a supposed blind spot?"

Edward glanced at Bart, who then temporarily left.

Soon, he returned with a man in riding gear, one of the participants in the horse race.

"Edward," the jockey greeted politely with a bow.

"Sorry to trouble you to explain in person, but your testimony is very important to me. I hope you understand," Edward said courteously, without any hint of his usual authoritative demeanor.

The jockey, flattered, nodded vigorously and addressed the crowd.

"I am a jockey for the Skyline Group. Our horses were stabled opposite the KnightSpear Group's horses. Our boss has a peculiar hobby of observing the daily lives of the horses from their perspective."

"So, our boss installed a miniature camera on the headgear of each horse. Especially on a special occasion like today, our boss was worried about accidents, so he used a high-definition camera to monitor the surroundings."

Everyone was stunned.

Even the well-traveled Evelyn was taken aback.

She had seen dashcams in cars but had never seen a camera on a horse!

She was even a bit curious to meet this talented boss.

Barry was devastated, his ears buzzing, and his vision darkening.

His misdeeds had gone unnoticed until now, only to be exposed by a camera on a horse!

"Barry, the Taylor family has no grudge against you. Before this horse race, I had no interaction with you."

Evelyn's eyes darkened, "You understand the principle of leniency for those who confess and severity for those who resist. I am still alive, but if my riding skills were poor, if SilverSteed hadn't held up, I might have been thrown off and shattered to pieces."

"At that point, you would be guilty of attempted murder. Now, you are guilty of attempted murder, property damage, and animal cruelty. You should know what awaits you."

Barry was drenched in cold sweat, his mouth twitching uncontrollably.

"So, I hope you think about yourself and reveal the mastermind. If you tell us who ordered you to harm me, the KnightSpear Group will petition the prosecution for a reduced sentence."

Evelyn was always successful in negotiations.

Jessica tried hard to control her expression, but her legs trembled under her dress, and her heart felt like it was about to be crushed by a giant hand!

Barry fell silent, his confused eyes instinctively looking in Jessica's direction.

He just wanted to see her one more time.

But the girl he had watched grow up, who was always innocent and lively in his memory, now stared at him with cold, detached, and threatening eyes.

Barry let out a bitter laugh and then gritted out each word, "No one ordered me, Evelyn. I wanted to kill you myself. It has nothing to do with the Clark family."

"You dared to compete with Jessica for Edward; you deserve to die. I only regret not being thorough enough, but I never regret doing it."

"You don't need to say anything more. Do whatever you want!"

He was completely determined to sacrifice himself and not reveal the mastermind.

Evelyn's eyes remained calm, but a chill surged in her heart.

She knew the mastermind was Jessica. She and Barry had been aiming to kill her from the start!

The more she thought about it, the more she hated and feared it!

"Fine, Barry. I am very pleased that you have confessed to all your crimes. And everything you just said has been broadcast live to the entire nation. In the future, in court, it will be irrefutable evidence," Edward's thin lips curved slightly, his voice icy and mocking.

Everyone was shocked.

What did Edward mean?

The Clark family members were even more bewildered, looking as if they had lost their signal, not knowing how to react.

At that moment, Neil's secretary shouted, "Neil! Maurice! This is bad! Everything that just happened was broadcast live!"
