Elbert and Calvin were especially dumbfounded, their mouths hanging open, expressions identical like they were copied and pasted!
"Evelyn... what are you..." Landon looked at Evelyn anxiously, feeling deeply troubled.

Evelyn's lips curled into a mocking smile, her sharp gaze sweeping over the Alexander family men before finally landing coldly on Gilbert's face, "Your children, every single one of them, are no good!"
"The men are despicable, and the women are both evil and stupid."
"You've been with Charlie for so many years, and not only have you made no progress in business, but you've also failed miserably in raising your children? It's truly disappointing."
Elbert and Calvin's faces turned ashen with anger, "You!"
Gilbert's breath hitched, his fingers clenching so tightly that his nails dug into his palms!
The woman he loved most was mocking and insulting him!
This piercing, bone-deep pain was worse than if she had slapped him hard!
"Evelyn, Landon, are you saying... Randy..." Charlie, a decisive figure in the business world, didn't dare to ask further at this moment.
He feared nothing, except hearing the truth, which might cause an even bigger reaction than Joyce's!
Landon walked over to Charlie and Joyce, taking a deep breath, "At the banquet, Randy drugged Jennifer and took her to an upstairs room, trying to assault her."
"What?" Charlie's blood rushed to his head, his chest boiling with anger, almost ready to explode!
"Fortunately, we found out in time and rescued Jennifer," Landon said, quickly supporting Charlie, trying to keep his voice as calm as possible. "So Randy tried to assault Jennifer?" Charlie asked, trembling.
Evelyn nodded solemnly, "Yes. But fortunately, Randy is already impotent, so he didn't actually harm Jennifer."
She originally wanted to credit Edward for rescuing Jennifer, but now wasn't the right time. She would tell Charlie later. Otherwise, it would only bring trouble to Edward, as the Alexander family would surely seek revenge.

"Impotent? How could Randy be impotent?" Elbert was shocked, his face turning purple with anger at Charlie's words. "Charlie! What do you mean by that? Are you cursing my son?"
"Cursing?" Charlie's lips twitched with anger, his eyes blazing with fury. "Randy did such a despicable thing to Jennifer! He deserves to die! If he weren't your son, I would make sure he didn't live to see tomorrow! Beating him up and throwing him in jail to reflect on his actions is already merciful!"
Elbert and Calvin's hearts tightened! They had come all this way, intending to demand an explanation. But instead, they found themselves looking like fools!
Gilbert's eyes were bloodshot, his pale lips bitten until they bled. If this continued, Randy's life would be a small matter, but the relationship between the two families would be ruined. That would undoubtedly become an obstacle between him and Evelyn!
"Why... why?" Joyce finally broke down. She cried and struggled in Charlie's arms, screaming hysterically at Elbert, "Just because Jennifer is my daughter! Because I'm a weak and useless woman. Does that mean she should be bullied?"
"Joyce! Don't belittle yourself!" Donna, with tears in her eyes, stepped forward to hug her. "Jennifer is our little princess! She's no different from Evelyn or Nancy, you mustn't think that way!"
As Joyce was in the depths of despair, a soft voice called out:
"Mom... don't cry, Mom."
Everyone turned to see Jennifer standing on the stairs, her delicate face streaked with dried tears, her bare feet, and her thin body wrapped in a blanket, trembling.
"Jennifer!" Joyce ran to Jennifer, crying uncontrollably as she hugged her tightly. "Jennifer... It's all my fault... I'm such a failure... I couldn't protect you."
"Mom, I'm okay... I'm okay..." Jennifer whispered softly in her mother's ear, even though she was deeply hurt, she tried to comfort Joyce. Evelyn watched, her heart aching as if it had been crumpled by a ruthless hand.
A child who was too sensible often faces a harder path.
If her sister had been half as willful and self-centered as she was, would any of this have happened?
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Randy would never do such a thing!" Calvin, furious, pointed at Evelyn and Landon, "You must have set him up! You wanted to stop the marriage between our families, so you resorted to such dirty tricks! It's despicable!"
"Shut your filthy mouth!" Peter's voice came from the doorway, his appearance disheveled, "At this point, you're still trying to argue? Truly shameless."
Standing behind him was William!
"William." Jennifer's tears flowed freely, though she dared not cry out loud.
William gazed at the girl he loved, his dry lips parting as if choked, unable to speak, but his eyes were filled with heartache.
So close, yet so far.
"Mr. Taylor, what is this? Are you trying to besiege us?" Calvin's lips twisted into a sinister smile, "Even if the Taylor family is the dominant force in Hameen, the Alexander family is not without power in Mugden. You've already offended the Clark family, and now you want to push your only ally towards others? Making enemies in business is not a wise move!"
Evelyn's eyes burned with anger, her rage at its peak! But she knew that arguing with Calvin now was pointless. She would remember this and make sure he never recovered from it in the future!
"Mr. Alexander, you're too young. If you don't know what I've been through, you can ask your father when you get home." Charlie's hawk-like gaze was sharp and unyielding, "Find out what happens to those who make an enemy of me!"
Calvin felt a chill in his heart but maintained his posture, not daring to show any fear.
"I'm standing here not as a member of the Taylor family, but as a police officer to inform you." With a swift motion, Peter displayed an arrest warrant in front of the Alexander family, "The police have officially arrested Randy on charges of attempted rape, with solid evidence and witnesses. The Alexander family should prepare for Randy's trial."
He then smirked, a smile that could drive anyone mad, "Oh, I should say, suspect Randy."
Elbert's eyes darkened with despair. This was an official arrest warrant from the police, undeniable and irrefutable. They had no choice but to accept reality!
Calvin wanted to argue further, but Elbert quickly restrained him, whispering urgently, "What more is there to say? We need to go back and find a way to save Randy!"
As the Alexander family father and sons were about to leave the Taylor Mansion in disgrace, Charlie, his eyes red with anger, shouted at their retreating backs.
"The marriage between our families is off! Don't bring it up again! I will pursue Randy's actions against Jennifer to the end!"
Elbert gritted his teeth in frustration, yelling at Gilbert, "Gilbert! Come with me!"
Gilbert didn't want to leave, but the cold stares from the Taylor family forced him to retreat. He cast a deep, lingering look at Evelyn before leaving, a look that made Evelyn feel physically ill, almost to the point of vomiting. But she breathed a sigh of relief, as the outcome was favorable. The marriage alliance with the Alexander family was finally over.
On the way back, the atmosphere in the Alexander family's extended Bentley was cold and oppressive. Calvin helped Elbert take two blood pressure pills and tried to calm him down, but Elbert's blood pressure wouldn't drop.
"Randy was so foolish! Foolish! What was so special about that, Jennifer? He could have any woman he wanted, why her?"
"Exactly, the marriage wasn't even for him, why did he have to complicate things?" Gilbert, seething with anger, his eyes dark and menacing, "He's impotent and still wants to mess around with women? Ha, he really lost big as a rapist."
"Shut up! How can you say that about Randy? And why were you at the Taylor Mansion tonight?" Elbert demanded angrily.
"Why else? To suck up to the Taylor family." Calvin sneered, taking the opportunity to criticize Gilbert, "Gilbert is really working hard to become their son-in-law. Gilbert, have you ever been this filial to Dad? I bet you care more about Charlie than you do about Dad."
"The marriage isn't for me, it's for the Alexander family!" Gilbert retorted angrily.
"Enough!" Elbert slammed his hand on the armrest, glaring at Gilbert, "From now on, you are not to have any contact with Evelyn! Stop trying to curry favor with the Taylor family and embarrassing us!"
"Randy's mistake has nothing to do with me! Why can't I see Evelyn?" Gilbert's stubbornness was infuriating, "If I can marry Evelyn, we can still maintain a relationship with the Taylor family. Their resources will still be available to you. What's wrong with that?"
"Gilbert, are you delusional? After all this, you still think you have a chance with Evelyn?" Calvin couldn't help but laugh, "Even if Edward is out of the picture, even if he's dead, Evelyn would never choose you."
