Chapter 578 Even God Has a Way
"Evelyn, what did you find out?" Edward asked, his voice tight with worry.
Eric and Ellen watched her, their faces pale with concern.
"Bart's analysis is dead on. With Gilbert's sneaky ways, he could take out Sebastian without leaving a trace! He's been planning this for ages, and the key piece just fell into place!"
Eric and the others were still confused, but Edward's mind was racing, and he quickly put the pieces together.
"Are you talking about the private jet?"
Evelyn nodded vigorously, her eyes wide with urgency. "On the ground, Gilbert can't make a move easily, but in the air, it's a whole different ballgame! Once that plane's out of the country, we can't touch it. He can do whatever he wants!"
How devious, yet brilliantly strategic!
"Evelyn! You're a genius!" Eric exclaimed, clapping his hands in admiration.
"Save the compliments. We need a plan, and fast." Evelyn felt a heavy weight on her chest, making it hard to breathe.
"Bart, keep a close watch on Gilbert's plane from now on! Any movement, and we need to stop him immediately!" Edward's voice was cold, his expression stern.
"Yes, Mr. Wellington!"
Edward, once an unrivaled business magnate and a noble king, was now willing to bow down and serve Evelyn, whether as her strategic advisor or her frontline general.
"What if we can't stop the plane and it takes off? Are we supposed to shoot it down with a cannon?" Eric asked, his tone serious despite the absurdity of the question.
"Sebastian is the most wanted criminal in two countries. I'll inform Aaron and Peter to have the military and police work together," Evelyn said, her red lips curving slightly, her confident eyes steady. "Even if he takes to the skies, I've got a way to bring him down!"
The three men stared at her in shock.

Helen was imprisoned, Randy was captured, and as Edward had predicted, Calvin's situation was precarious, like walking on thin ice.
Moreover, Gilbert had used his accumulated wealth from Aurora Isle to save the Alexander Group's stocks. This made Elbert value him highly, and a faction led by Gilbert had even formed within the group.
Some executives and shareholders were starting to lean towards Gilbert!
Calvin's days were becoming increasingly difficult.
But he hadn't given up. No matter how bloody the battle, he wouldn't let that bastard take over!
So, Calvin devised a plan to reduce Randy's sentence as much as possible.
He knew Elbert adored Randy. Not only had Randy been with him the longest, but he also knew how to make Elbert happy from a young age. Randy's arrest was a huge blow to Elbert, causing him sleepless nights and graying temples.
Calvin approached Elbert, speaking gently, "Dad, don't worry. Rape isn't a major crime. We can work things out, and Randy will be out in three or four years at most."
"Three or four years? Do you think I'm an idiot?"
Though Elbert found Randy's actions disgraceful, Randy was still his favorite son. He was deeply troubled, losing sleep and growing more gray hair. "One of the women he assaulted was a minor! Raping a minor is a severe crime! He could have any woman he wanted; why target a minor? It's foolish!"
Calvin paused, then spoke firmly, "You're right. Our Alexander family is one of the four major families in Mugden, capable of rivaling the Wellington Group. Are those women around Randy truly innocent?"
Elbert frowned, "Calvin, what are you implying?"
"Some of those girls are Randy's ex-girlfriends, some are paid escorts, and others are scheming women trying to marry into a wealthy family. The police only have partial evidence, but if no one testifies, or if the witnesses are unreliable, the judge won't have enough evidence to convict him. Randy won't get a long sentence."
Calvin didn't need to spell it out. The clever Elbert understood completely.
He was pleased with Calvin's plan and looked at him with renewed trust.
"Calvin, I'll leave it to you. Do it that way!"
