Chapter 189 Securing the Hosting Rights

'What a show-off! Even Ada, a die-hard jewelry fan, couldn't get that piece. How could you pull it off?' Debra thought and was shocked but buttered her up, "Jessica, you're incredible! If you can snag Alexa's jewelry, Ada will pick us again! We'll get back at Evelyn and do Edward a solid, making a great impression on him. You'll be the Wellington family hero, and your relationship with Edward will skyrocket!"

Jessica grinned, "We have to steal the Ada deal from Evelyn, no matter what!"

Debra agreed out loud but had her own plans.

'I don't care about helping Edward. We're just half-siblings. But this is my chance to shine. If I can take the planning director role from Edward, I can fix Tiffany's image with Patrick. And Jessica's just the tool to help me do it!'

Thinking this, Debra felt a rush of excitement, her eyes gleaming and cheeks flushed.

"This night sucks! Edward left early, and Eric, who promised to come, didn't show. What's going on? I'm not talking to him when I get back!" Jessica pouted, throwing a fit.

"Jessica, Eric did come tonight, but he left," Debra said coldly.

"When?" Jessica asked.

"While you were playing the piano. He brought Molly along. Thanks to Eric, Molly was the star tonight," Debra said with a sarcastic smile.

"Molly? That idiot?"

Jessica's shoulders shook, unable to link Eric with Molly.

'I know Molly too well. We went to the same elite girls' school in Mugden and were even classmates,' Jessica thought.

"Jessica, I'm already facing threats before marrying into the Clark family," Debra sighed, her eyes cold. "Eric might have fallen for Molly."

"What? Molly? Does she deserve Eric?" Jessica stood up angrily, knocking over a wine glass, her eyes wide.

Debra sneered inside but spoke pitifully, "But you didn't see it tonight. Eric was really sweet to Molly. He bought her new clothes and kept saying he only cared for her. I was so jealous I could cry."

She knew Eric wouldn't genuinely like Molly. But she need to provoke Jessica to deal with Molly.

Hearing Debra, Jessica's anger fizzled out. She sat back, sipped her wine, and her eyes showed a mature look.

As Eric's sister, she knew him best. He rarely showed concern for women. Back in school, she led the bullying against Molly, making her life hell. Even after all these years, she doubted Molly had forgiven her.

'Debra's right; his attitude towards Molly is unusual. This can't happen! If Eric likes Molly, even a little, she will use him to get back at me!'

After thinking it over, Jessica gritted her teeth, "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, Molly and Eric won't be together!"

KS WORLD Hotel.

In the VIP room, a large round table was set with ten delicious dishes and auction-grade vintage red wine.

Ada enjoyed the feast with a great appetite.

Evelyn and William were with her, Evelyn chatting and laughing with Ada. She didn't mention her wedding or badmouth the Wellington Group. Instead, she talked about acting, movies, and jewelry, like old friends.

The meal was a hit for everyone.

After dinner, Evelyn and William walked Ada to the underground parking lot.

"Ms. Taylor, the food tonight was fantastic! That dessert was especially amazing!" Ada said.

"That was Brownies. If you liked it, I can make two boxes for you before you leave Mugden. One for you and one for your mom," Evelyn replied with a warm smile.

"Ms. Smith, many of the dishes tonight, including the Brownies, were made by Ms. Taylor herself," William chimed in, proud of Evelyn's cooking skills.

"What? You made that complex dessert yourself?!" Ada was shocked and impressed.

'It's hard to believe such a talented woman is also a great cook. Making such an exquisite dessert for me shows her sincerity,' Ada thought.

"Yes, but it wasn't that great," Evelyn said modestly, a bit embarrassed.

Ada thought for a moment, then smiled, "Ms. Taylor, did you bring the contract?"

Evelyn and William were stunned, exchanging surprised looks, and then asked, "Ms. Smith, do you mean...?"

"I want KS WORLD to handle my wedding. If it's convenient, I can sign the contract now," Ada said.

Evelyn's heart raced with excitement, though she kept her composure.

William was thrilled too, quickly opening his briefcase, "Yes, we have it! We've been carrying it with us!"

"Ms. Smith," Evelyn took a deep breath and asked seriously, "Your initial request was for KS and the Wellington Group to find a designer for a unique piece of jewelry. I haven't met that request yet. Why did you choose us?"

William blinked, curious too.

Ada looked a bit guilty, "Honestly, I didn't really want either of you to host my wedding at first. I've never been to Mugden, and having my wedding here was to fulfill my mom's wish. So, I was skeptical of both hotels. Tonight, I accepted Edward's invitation without any real intention, just making a random choice. For that, I apologize. I shouldn't have underestimated you. After coming to Mugden, I realized you and Edward are both excellent managers. No matter who hosts my wedding, it will be perfect."

"Then why us?" Evelyn asked.

"When you gave me the Ragnarok, I still hadn't decided. But after tasting the dishes you prepared, each crafted with as much care as jewelry, I was moved by your sincerity. So, I chose KS WORLD," Ada said sincerely.

Evelyn understood but still found it incredible.

'Learning to cook wasn't useless after all. It really paid off at a critical moment!'

They got into the car as William placed two copies of the contract in front of them, smiling happily.

Before signing, Ada thought for a moment and said warmly, "Ms. Taylor, could we add one more condition to the contract?"

"Of course," Evelyn replied patiently.

"I want the wedding setup to remain completely confidential until the wedding day. This will surprise my fans and my mom. Can you do that?" Ada asked.

"Yes, as long as it's in the contract, we'll do it," Evelyn said, exuding reliability and security.

They signed the contract.

Seeing the signed contract, William finally felt relieved after days of anticipation.

Ada smiled and extended her hand to Evelyn, "I look forward to our cooperation, Ms. Taylor."

Evelyn shook her hand firmly, her eyes sparkling, "Likewise."
