Chapter 303 Hug Me
Outside the villa.
Evelyn got into Eric's luxury car.
"Evelyn, it's rare for you to want to spend time alone with me," Eric looked at Evelyn with a smile, "I'm very happy right now, but I'm afraid Edward will get jealous. He's still sick, you know."
"If it weren't for Molly, do you think I'd want to breathe the same air as you?" Evelyn's voice was cold and flat, "Are you interested in Molly now?"
Hearing Molly's name, Eric's heart skipped a beat, and a tingling sensation spread through his body. His voice trembled slightly, "Evelyn, you know about me and Molly."
"You and Molly? I don't understand what you're talking about," Evelyn's pale lips curled into a mocking smile.
"Evelyn, at this point, I have nothing to hide," Eric took a deep breath, his heart pounding, and spoke seriously, "I have fallen for Molly. I want to be with her."
"How many girls have you liked this year?" Evelyn's sneer deepened, showing her disdain for him.
"She's the one I love the most!"
"The most loved among all the ones you fall for?"
"Evelyn! I'm serious about Molly!" Eric's handsome face flushed with urgency, and he turned to look at her intently. "I admit, I used to be quite the player, dated many women. But it was always mutual needs; once those were met, we parted ways. I never had feelings for them, but Molly is different. She has moved my heart."
"You extended the clutches of evil towards your good friend's sister. Truly, Mr. Clark, you love the thrill," Evelyn found his words laughable, "And Molly is a type you've never encountered before, so you must find it particularly exciting. Men always love a challenge, something new and fresh."
She continued, "When you lose interest in Molly, you'll despise her more than any other woman. Once the novelty wears off, and she can't satisfy your vanity like other girls, Molly will be discarded like dirt without mercy."
"A dirt? I wish I could keep her by my side 24/7 and cherish her! Evelyn, don't you have any faith in me?" Eric's voice cracked with emotion.
"No," Evelyn wanted to roll her eyes at him.
Eric's expression turned serious, his eyes filled with intense emotion, "Evelyn, I know you care for Molly like a sister. But please believe me, I swear on my life! I love Molly, truly and deeply! I want to be with her, to have a future with her!"
"Alright, then let me ask you a question," Evelyn suddenly dropped all her sarcasm and asked seriously, "If your mother, your sister, and your grandfather all oppose you being with Molly, and they threaten that if you marry Molly, you'll be kicked out of the Clark Group, even you'll get nothing from the Clark Group. Your mother won't acknowledge you, and your family will be in constant turmoil because of this. Will you still firmly choose to be with Molly? Will you?"
Eric reddened his eyes, clenching his fists tightly, "Maybe I can't acquire the entire Clark Group right now, and the risks you mentioned may exist, but I've made up my mind about Molly. I will do everything I can to protect her, and I won't let anyone bully her, including people from the Wellington family!"
"You're avoiding the question," Evelyn's lips curled coldly, her eyes filled with disappointment, "The only way you can protect her is by marrying her, making her the rightful Mrs. Clark. Otherwise, your so-called protection, in some ways, is harming her!"
Marry!
Eric was shocked, his jawline tightened, and he was caught off guard, unable to react.
Seeing his lack of response, Evelyn thought he was chickening out and laughed, "You dared to have said you'd marry me in front of me, but now why are you silent when I ask if you dare to marry Molly? Or, in your eyes, as the least significant daughter of the Wellington family, Molly isn't worth bringing home as your wife. Her greatest value is to be your secret lover?"
"Evelyn! You!" Eric's chest heaved with anger. For the first time, he blushed in front of Evelyn.
He finally understood why Edward had coughed up blood. Was it because of her?
"Enough, there's no point in saying more. I respect all true love, but I don't want Molly to suffer with you," Thinking of Molly, who had endured so much in the Wellington family, Evelyn's eyes welled up, "She's already had a hard life, I don't want her life to get even worse. Eric, your world is too complicated, and for someone as simple as Molly, it might be too much to bear. Think about my words carefully."
After settling Edward in the hospital, Eric dragged his tired body back home.
Yes, home. He now referred to the villa where he and Molly stayed as home.
Although he had a mother and a sister, ever since his father passed away, Susan had become very depressed and often went abroad for treatment; Jessica was studying abroad. The large Clark Manor was always cold and empty, never lively.
The past few days with Molly had made him feel comfortable, relaxed, and warm.
He even greedily hoped that such days could last forever.
"How is Molly doing?" Eric asked anxiously as soon as he saw Ellen upon entering.
Ellen frowned with worry, sighing, "Ms. Wellington is in her room. I've been trying to get her to sleep, but she seems very distressed and can't close her eyes. It's heartbreaking to see."
Eric felt a lump of guilt in his throat, walking heavily upstairs, "I'll go keep her company."
"Mr. Clark, what do you plan to do about Ms. Clark?" Ellen hesitated but asked.
"Ellen, do you think I'm particularly useless sometimes?" Eric asked his back to her, his voice heavy.
Ellen was taken aback.
She had been by Eric's side for ten years. He had always been proud and noble, never lacking confidence or feeling so desolate.
"Why would you say that?" Ellen asked.
"I can't take care of Jessica, and I've let Molly suffer. If you ask me what to do, Ellen, honestly, I don't know what to do either," Eric recalled Jessica's vicious expression when she bullied Molly, and a sharp sense of defeat surged in his chest. "At most, I can send her back to New York, but will that solve the problem?"
"Eric, take it slow. As long as you don't give up on Ms. Wellington, even if Ms. Clark doesn't like it, she will eventually have to accept the reality."
Eric stood at the door of the room, steadied himself, and pushed it open, "Molly? I'm back."
The serene bedroom was lit only by a bedside lamp.
Molly sat alone at the head of the bed, curled up with her arms around her knees, her head buried in them, motionless.
Eric was afraid the cold air would affect her, so he took off his coat and placed it on the sofa, then walked quietly to the bed and sat down.
"Molly, are you still in pain?" Eric's hand covered her head, gently stroking her soft hair.
Molly shook her head slightly.
"Then, shall we go to sleep?" Eric asked, somewhat nervously.
As soon as he asked, he regretted it. It seemed like all he could think about was sleeping with her! That wasn't his intention at all!
"I'm not sleepy," Molly finally spoke weakly, "I just want to be alone for a while."
"What if I don't sleep all night?"
"I'll stay with you all night."
"That's not necessary, you should go to sleep," Molly still didn't lift her head, her soft voice urging him.
Eric felt a bitter taste in his heart, and his breathing was heavy, "Alright if you don't want me to stay, I'll go."
As he moved to leave, Molly grabbed his arm, her grip tightening, her breathing growing heavier.
"Molly?" Eric's eyes widened in surprise.
"Don't go, Eric, don't go!" Molly slowly lifted her head, her lips trembling, her adorable face covered in tears. "I lied, I was wrong. I want you to stay with me, Eric, I want you by my side!"
Eric's throat filled with bittersweet, gently wiping her tears with his fingertips, "I'm not going anywhere. I never intended to leave, I was just teasing you."
Molly knelt on the bed, looking at him with tear-filled eyes, like a pitiful and alluring kitten, "Eric, hold me."
Eric's eyes reddened instantly, unable to suppress the overwhelming love any longer. He pulled her soft body into his arms. He took a deep breath and held her tightly, "I hold you now."
"Tighter."
"Okay," Eric rested his chin on her neck, his lips brushing against her reddened earlobe.
"Tighter, please?"
"Alright," Eric tightened his arms again, his large hand soothing her trembling back. "I wish I could embed you into my body, Molly. I do."
They held each other for a long time until Molly finally felt sleepy.
Eric got into bed, and they lay together naturally, like a newlywed couple.
Molly rested her head on Eric's strong arm, her face buried in his chest. She sobbed softly and closed her eyes.
"Molly, can I ask you a question?" Eric held her shoulder, gently stroking her arm.
"Sure."
"Do you like me?" Eric's heart pounded as he asked.
"Of course I do."
"Not that kind of like, the other kind of like," Eric cleared his throat, his cheeks a bit warm. "Like how Edward likes Evelyn."
Molly's clear eyes sparkled, her hands playing with the delicate button on his black shirt, "I don't know."
Eric sighed inwardly, smiling bitterly, "Alright, then go to sleep."
"But I like being with you, Eric. When you're out, I can't do anything right. I just worry about you and wait for you to come back. Being with you makes every day feel so short, and seeing you makes me so happy," Molly's eyes half-closed, her voice soft.
Eric's breathing grew heavier, his palm on her shoulder sweating.
"One day, you came back very late. You came to check on me, and I pretended to be asleep, but I was awake the whole time," MMolly added.
Eric's heart tightened at her words.
That night, he had gone out with Ellen to deal with some people from Neil's group who had been opposing him.
He always presented a cheerful and enthusiastic Eric to Molly.
She would never see his dark, ruthless, and cold side.
Molly bit her lip, "That night, you smelled strongly of blood, and your hand was injured. When you touched my forehead, I felt the wound."
She took his hand and removed the black leather glove from his right hand.
The wounds on his knuckles and fingertips had scabbed over, but the scars remained.
"Eric, I'm afraid you'll do something dangerous outside and something will happen to you. I'm so scared," Molly's heart ached, her eyelashes trembling as she kissed his wound. "I don't understand, I don't know if this is the kind of like you were talking about."
Eric's heart pounded violently, and he couldn't hold back his emotions any longer. He flipped over, pressing her beneath him.
Molly let out a soft moan but wasn't too frightened.
In her twenty-two years, she had never been close to any man. Eric was the first, and she was slowly accepting him as if she could only accept him.
"Molly, don't tempt me. I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself," Eric looked down at the blushing Molly beneath him, his eyes filled with desire, his breath hot and heavy.
"Eric, do you want to kiss?" Molly obediently wrapped her arms around his neck, her pink lips slightly puckered. "I'm ready!"
"No," Eric's eyes were red, the flame within him burning. "It might be more than a kiss. It could be something that turns you from a girl into a woman."
Last time at the hospital, he had kissed her for a long time but held back from having sex with her.
That time, he had to take a two-hour cold shower when he got home, almost making himself sick!
If it happened again, he wasn't confident he could hold back. After all, he was not only a normal man but also one with a strong sexual drive!
"I don't know," Molly's eyes were moist with her innocent expression.
Eric held back and finally sighed in compromise, lowering his head to bite her neck.
Still unsatisfied, he kissed and sucked, leaving several hickeys.
"It tickles!" Molly covered her face, her shoulders shaking as she squirmed beneath him.
"You're ticklish, but I'm about to die from holding back," Eric helplessly rolled back over, pulling her close, and whispered, "Molly, I'll wait for you, until you fully accept me."
