Chapter 132 New Boyfriend

Gilbert froze, heart pounding.

Evelyn's face went from red to pale with anger as she glared at Edward. "Edward! How can you be so shameless and still act righteous? Let go of me! I'm not going with you!"

No matter how much she struggled or cursed, Edward didn't care. He was set on taking her away.

Seeing Evelyn alone with a strange man, both drunk, was too much for him.

"Edward! You jerk, let go!"

Without a word, Edward hoisted Evelyn onto his shoulder, his strong arm around her thigh, and walked out with a stern face.

"Let go of me. I'm going to throw up!"

Evelyn pounded on his back, feeling nauseous.

"Go ahead and throw up," Edward said, emotionless.

'Throwing up would be good, consider it your punishment, you heartless liar!'

As they disappeared, Gilbert's lips tightened, anger flashing in his eyes.

"An illegitimate child acting both lowly and rudely," he muttered.

"Mr. Alexander, what should we do now? Should we follow them?" Curtis asked nervously.

"Send someone to follow them," Gilbert said lazily, still holding the glass Evelyn had drunk from, his thumb rubbing the faint red lipstick on the rim.

"It's surprising that Edward got married!" Curtis was incredulous. "When did this happen? How could there be no news?"

"Go check it out," Gilbert said, taking a sip of water. His tone was calm, but his eyes behind the gold-rimmed glasses were icy.

"Find out what Edward has been up to these past few years and what their current relationship is."

Edward had planned to take Evelyn back to his private room, but thinking of Eric lying there, he carried her out of the KTV instead.

Waiters and guests saw the scene but didn't intervene, thinking it was just a couple having a quarrel.

"Edward, I'm going to throw up. I feel awful," Evelyn said weakly, feeling sick from being carried around.

Edward's chest tightened. "Evelyn, if you knew this would happen, why did you act that way?"

As soon as he put her down, she pushed him hard against the car door.

Edward's breath hitched as she raised her flushed face, her hands pressing against his chest, her fingers tightening.

The next second, Evelyn threw up.

Edward's eyes widened. "You!"

Evelyn bent over, vomiting all the Japanese food in her stomach onto his pristine suit.

The smell of seafood mixed with alcohol made Edward want to throw up too, his face turning ugly.

'Evelyn used me as a wall to support herself!'

"Edward? Why are you haunting me? Get lost, seeing you makes me feel unlucky!" Evelyn pushed him away, but Edward grabbed her wrists, glaring angrily.

"Who is that glasses-wearing gigolo?"

"Who is he? He's my new guy! Do you have a problem with that?" Evelyn squinted her eyes, smiling seductively.

"I do!" Edward's eyes reddened, throwing his pride out the window.

"Do you? You're the one with the real problem!"

Evelyn struggled against him, her drunkenness making her even more alluring. "You have an ex-girlfriend, and I can't have a new boyfriend?"

Edward recalled the moments between her and that hypocrite. His senses shut down, leaving only a crazy possessiveness coursing through him.

"Your private life is really colorful," he sneered, his anger and jealousy mixing into an intense emotion, more intoxicating than strong liquor. "A man and a woman alone in a big room—afraid you can't perform?"

'Why do my words hurt her, but the pain feels like it's stabbing me?' he thought.

Evelyn laughed uncontrollably, her red lips glistening. "Of course, I have wild tricks up my sleeve. Do you think I'm still the dull and boring Lily you knew? I know a lot of tricks. There's nothing I can't do, only things you can't imagine!"

"Evelyn!" Edward couldn't hold it in any longer, his chest heaving. "Today, no matter what, I'm taking you away! As long as I'm here, don't even think about finding a new boyfriend!"

Just then, a patrol car drove by. Evelyn had a sudden idea. She went from fierce to pitiful, shouting, "Help! He's harassing me! Help!"

"You!" Edward's face turned pale.

Two patrol officers quickly jumped out of the car, running towards Edward. "Don't move! Let go of the girl!"

Taking advantage of Edward's distraction, Evelyn broke free, wiping her tears and lying through her teeth. "I accidentally threw up on this gentleman, dirtying his clothes. I said I'd pay for dry cleaning, but he wouldn't let it go and kept pestering me."

"Do you know your behavior constitutes sexual harassment? We can detain you for this!" Surrounded by the officers, Edward couldn't get away. "I'm not a harasser, I know her!"

"Miss, do you know him?" The officer looked at Evelyn kindly.

Evelyn shook her head, tears in her eyes. "No, I don't."

The officer's eyes showed disdain. "Your excuse is suspicious. You'll have to come with us!"

At that moment, Edward's phone rang. It was Patrick.

Edward's tall body trembled with anger as he answered.

"Where are you? Get back here now!" Patrick's tone was urgent. "Nicole tried to commit suicide! She slit her wrists, lost a lot of blood, and is in the hospital being resuscitated!"

Edward felt like he was struck by lightning, his face turning pale.

"Edward, can you handle your relationship issues?! If you have Nicole, stop entangling with Evelyn!" Patrick was furious. "Look at what you've done! When you were a kid and tried to commit suicide, Nicole saved your life! But what are you doing now?! You said you'd marry her and then backed out. How could Nicole handle that? You're pushing her to death!"

Dark memories from childhood surged at Edward like a flood. He clutched his chest, struggling to breathe.

When he looked up again, Evelyn had already disappeared into the dazzling lights of the building.
