Chapter 482 Tiffany Falls into the Trap

"Eric, thank you for still thinking of me," Patrick said with an approving smile.

"Not just me, Molly and Edward also think of you."

"I haven't seen Molly in a long time either. You two come with me to the study. Let's sit down and have a good chat."

With that, Patrick showed a loving smile and beckoned to Molly, "Come here, Molly."

Although Molly had less communication with Patrick as she grew up, in her memory, Patrick was the one who loved her the most when she was a child.

"Dad."

Her doe-like eyes sparkled as she let go of Eric's hand and walked towards Patrick.

For some reason, seeing this scene made Eric's eyes inexplicably red and his nose tingle.

He knew well that no matter how good he was to Molly, no matter how much he loved her, he could never replace the place of family in her heart.

Perhaps, many people in this world could live without love, but no one could bear the loss of family, the separation of flesh and blood.

As soon as Molly got close, Patrick opened his arms with a smile and hugged her petite body, holding the long-unseen Molly in his arms, gently stroking her silky smooth hair.

She pressed her little face against Patrick's chest, feeling a tremor in her heart and a surge of obscure emotions, secretly shedding two tears that soaked Patrick's clean lapel.

At this moment, Debra's anger finally reached its peak, almost making her cry out of frustration!

As Patrick's eldest daughter, she had always been the focus of her parents' attention, overshadowing Molly.

But now, Byron, Tiffany, Eric, and Molly had taken everything that originally belonged to her!

Even Patrick's affection had been taken away by Molly!

Debra hated it, hated it so much!

Meanwhile, Tiffany, who was under house arrest, was already scared out of her wits and in a state of panic after seeing the news about Lloyd and the comments online!

She frantically rummaged through the medicine Percy had left her, injected herself with two doses, and only then did her twitching nerves calm down enough for her to think a little.

She never expected that Lloyd, who had fled to Torontow, would be caught, and even more unexpected was that public opinion about Kimberly's death was pointing towards her.

Now, the police hadn't summoned her yet, which meant Lloyd hadn't ratted her out.

But the longer it dragged on, the more likely he wouldn't be able to withstand the pressure and would spill everything about her hiring him to kill Kimberly, and by then it would be too late!

Right now, she was under Patrick's house arrest and had limited capabilities.

The only person who could run errands for her was Debra.

Debra came to see Tiffany with tear-streaked eyes, sitting there sobbing uncontrollably.

But Tiffany had no time to care about her breaking emotions and spoke directly, "Lloyd has been caught, and he might reveal everything we've done. He absolutely cannot be left alive!"

"What have we done? What have I done?" Debra sniffed, a cold glint flashing in her eyes, "Weren't all those things done under your orders? What does it have to do with me? Don't drag me into this!"

"Are you trying to wash your hands clean now? If something happens to me, don't think you'll have a good time either!"

Tiffany's fierce gaze made Debra tremble with fear!

They were no longer mother and daughter; they were accomplices in crime!"So what now? What do you plan to do?" Debra asked through gritted teeth, not in a good mood.

Tiffany suddenly lost all expression, her face turning chillingly cold.

"I want to kill Lloyd."

"Kill Lloyd? But he's now under police custody, how do we do that?"

After Tiffany's personal training, Debra didn't flinch at the word "kill", and her first thought was how to do it.

"In prison, there are plenty of people willing to take money to solve problems! And with so many people in there, it would be easy to find an opportunity to kill him without anyone knowing!"

With that, Tiffany took out a bank card and tossed it to Debra. "The money in here is enough for you to make arrangements. Handle this matter quickly, don't make me wait too long."

Debra clutched the card, feeling like she was holding a sharp blade.

"Mom, I can do this, but I have one condition."

"You dare to negotiate with me, do you have any conscience left?" Tiffany scolded, pointing a finger at her nose.

Debra sneered, "Mom, forgive me for being blunt, but Dad has already started to dislike you, and Molly is always with Eric, currying favor with Evelyn. The only person you can rely on is me."

Tiffany frowned deeply, feeling that Debra was too much like herself.

But because of this similarity, she felt a tinge of fear.

"What do you want?"

"I know Eric hates me, and there's no way I can be with him. Since that's the case, I want Molly to be unable to marry him either!"

Debra gritted her teeth. "Tonight, Eric brought Molly to see Dad, and the three of them were so happy together. Dad has clearly already approved of their relationship! You must find a way to stop her from marrying into the Clark family!"

"Eric's heart is all on Molly now, what can I do?" Tiffany snorted coldly, still not agreeing to her condition.

"Then I'm afraid I can't help you get rid of Lloyd."

Debra raised her bright red lips. "Mom, you know we're in the same boat, but now you're trapped at home, what can you do? Besides me, who else can you rely on?"Tiffany was so angry that her eyes turned red.

Seeing her lack of response, Debra continued to weigh the pros and cons for her. "Mom, I know you want to be Eric's mother-in-law and hope to rely on him to make a comeback one day. But have you thought about it, even if Molly really marries into the Clark family, what can she do for you?"

"Remember, Eric is Edward's good friend, and Molly is close to Evelyn. You've seen how she has helped Evelyn before."

"Since your trouble started, it's been me helping you, caring for you, and looking after you. What has Molly done for you besides fooling around with Eric every day?"

Tiffany was stunned and speechless for a long time.

Not to mention whether Molly marrying Eric would really benefit her. Right now, she was struggling to keep herself safe. How could she have the mind to care about Molly's marriage?

"Fine, I agree!"

Tiffany said with a pair of dark circles under her eyes, "As long as you help me get rid of Lloyd, I promise the Clark family will never accept Molly!"

Hearing this, Debra's eyes gleamed with a sinister and excited light.

Even if Eric insisted on marrying Molly, so what?

If she couldn't marry into the Clark family, she would always be a mistress!

In the study, the atmosphere was rare and warm.

Patrick and Eric chatted about family matters, and as an elder, Patrick asked Eric some questions about his career. Eric, of course, was well-prepared and answered fluently.

"Mr. Clark, please have some tea. Miss Wellington, here's your favorite orange juice," Carl said, carrying a tray over.

"Thank you." Molly picked up the glass and smiled at him innocently.

Carl couldn't help but smile, feeling a warmth in his heart. Thanks to Eric, he no longer worried about Molly.

Molly took a big sip of orange juice, her lips glistening.

Eric chuckled softly and pulled out a clean handkerchief from his pocket, leaning in to gently and patiently wipe the juice from her lips. His practiced movements showed that he did this often.

"Eric."

Patrick cleared his throat seriously. "After everything that's happened, I can see that you truly care for Molly. I've watched you grow up, and since you want to be with her, I won't stand in your way."

"But Molly is young, and we've protected her well since she was little. She's innocent and inexperienced. This is her first relationship, and it's also the first time she's stayed away from home for several days. You should know that Molly has never gone out at night before, Eric, you've broken our family rules."

"Sorry, I didn't consider it thoroughly. But with Molly staying with me, I will protect her well."
