Chapter 50 Evelyn Becomes a CryBaby

Evelyn raised her thin eyelids, her watery eyes gazing at the handsome and cold man in front of her.

He arrived like the night breeze, kneeling in front of her with one knee raised, looking deeply into her beautiful face.

"I heard that Evelyn doesn't want me anymore." Ulysses smiled wickedly and fondly.

"Ulysses..." Evelyn softly said, her voice gentle.

"Phew, you're still willing to talk to me. My heart can finally let go." Ulysses smiled, his usually indifferent gaze becoming gentle for her.

His strong and slender arm wrapped around Evelyn's waist, pulling her into his embrace. With his other hand, he reached into his coat pocket and took out a piece of chocolate, tearing open the wrapper with his teeth and bringing it to Evelyn's lips.
"This is Aroland's specialty, your favorite. Try it," she said.
"Ulysses!" Evelyn rushed into Ulysses' arms like a little bird. She didn't know why, but suddenly, a wave of sour emotions welled up, causing her to shed tears that soaked Ulysses' black shirt.
These tears had complex components: longing for Ulysses, guilt toward Byron, anger toward Nicole, frustration over not being able to make the bracelet, and disappointment and heartbreak over Edward.
"Evelyn? Are you crying?" Ulysses was taken aback and gently scratched her neck with his large hand.
"No..." Evelyn's voice was muffled.
"My clothes are soaked, and you're still saying you didn't cry?"
"I didn't, I just didn't cry!"
Evelyn's voice choked, but she stubbornly refused to admit that she cried.
Ulysses knew Evelyn was a girl with strong pride. She rarely cried from childhood to adulthood, so he didn't expose her. He just held her quietly, comforting her, feeling sad in his heart.
Evelyn, I'm back.
Edward, that bastard, his good days are over!
At this moment, Landon and Simon stood side by side outside the door, watching this scene of deep sibling affection.
Simon bit his teeth in jealousy. "Damn it, this guy is going to be smug again! Evelyn has never been so spoiled in my arms. He's been gone for so long, and now that he's back, he's gained Evelyn's love. Why?!"
"The helicopter flew into Star Park, and the tiles and trees should have suffered some damage."
Landon lowered his gaze slightly, sighed, and shook his head. "Tell Ulysses that the money for repairing the garden will be charged to his account."
Even after being busy until dawn, Evelyn still couldn't make a bracelet that satisfied her, and she unknowingly fell asleep in the pile of stones.
Andy tidied up a fine room for Evelyn in Star Park. Ulysses carefully carried her soft body all the way to the bed, putting her under Simon's jealous and angry gaze.
Ulysses covered Evelyn with the blanket and kissed her face before happily leaving the room and closing the door.
"Hmph, stingy guy. You fly around the world day and night, yet I never see you bring anything nice for Evelyn. You brought a piece of chocolate. How embarrassing," Simon mocked him, folding his arms.
"Simon, can you stop assuming things all the time?" Ulysses glanced at him.
"I am your brother! Show some respect when you talk to me!" Simon glared.
"So what? You're not my father."
"Fuck you!"
Simon got angry and raised his leg to kick Ulysses.
But he was no match for the top agent. Ulysses moved slightly and perfectly avoided him. Simon almost tore his crotch when he stepped into nothing. It wasn't very comfortable!

"Haha... Simon, didn't anyone tell you that taking big steps can tear your crotch? You should know your limitations!" Ulysses burst into laughter, holding his stomach.

In the intense and rigorous atmosphere at the headquarters of the agents, he hadn't laughed so freely in a long time.

Landon stood on the side, watching his two younger brothers joke and play in front of him with a fatherly and gentle gaze. It reminded him of their childhood.

"By the way, let me show you the gift I prepared for Evelyn."

Ulysses' eyes sparkled with excitement as he eagerly brought out a silver and precise rectangular suitcase.

He opened the complex lock, and the contents appeared before their eyes. Landon was speechless and silent, while Simon gasped in shock.

"Our headquarters newly developed this gun. It's half bullets and half tranquilizers. If Evelyn is in danger, you can turn the cylinder to the left to make them sleep for three days and nights. Turn it to the right, and they will sleep for a lifetime.

"This lighter is a mini grenade, easy to carry, with immense destructive power. It might be difficult to demolish an entire building, but it can easily level a floor.

"Oh, and this!"

People say that a man remains a child until death, and Ulysses proudly introduced it like a toy. "Since Evelyn likes playing with jewelry, I specially customized a ring for her. Look, isn't it beautiful?"

Simon, curious, was about to pick it up and play with it, but Ulysses suddenly clenched his wrist tightly.

"Stop, this ring has poisonous spikes."

Landon sighed helplessly and lowered his gaze. "May God forgive you, Amen."

Simon grimaced and said, "Evelyn can still survive with a brother like you solely because she's lucky!"

"You don't understand anything! All the gifts I gave her are highly practical."

Ulysses narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "That ignorant guy, Edward, dares to bully Evelyn. I prepared these gifts for him. It depends on how Evelyn wants him to die."

Simon began to agree and looked at him approvingly.

"Ulysses, how long do you plan to stay at home this time?" Landon asked with concern.

"About half a month."

Ulysses reluctantly said, "Next month, I have to go on an important mission to Mythorica, so I have to go back early to prepare. Otherwise... I still want to stay with Evelyn for a while."

"Duty comes first. Evelyn has Simon and me to protect her so that you can rest assured."

Landon paused for a moment, then asked, "Do you want to go home and visit Dad? He mentioned you a few days ago."
"Goodbye," Ulysses gracefully waved his hand with a hint of melancholy in his eyes.
Landon and Simon exchanged a glance, both feeling complicated emotions.
Even Evelyn had slowly accepted the three mothers now, but Ulysses could never forgive Charlie for being unfaithful to their mother.
That's why he went to military school, devoted himself to becoming a special agent, and distanced himself from his hometown—since he couldn't change reality, he would distance himself from it.
But in the past two years, he didn't know if it was because he was getting older, but he had been longing for home more and more, missing the carefree time spent with his brothers and Evelyn.
"Hey, come on, Simon, let's go teach that jerk a lesson."
Ulysses suddenly grabbed Simon's neck. They had been arguing moments before, but now they embraced each other, putting the past behind them.
What? Simon immediately realized who Ulysses was talking about.
"You go alone. Evelyn said we're not allowed to bother Scumbag Edward on our own. I can't risk her disliking me!"
Simon quickly backed off as if Ulysses was poisonous.
Ulysses sneered, his lips curling maliciously.
