Chapter 103 The Truth Will Always Come to Light
Ashley was freaking out and wanted to move, but she couldn't even budge, which made her feel defeated for the first time ever.
"Mrs. Yates, don't worry. I know Ava. She was once a college student sponsored by the Yates family, and also..." Thomas paused, then added, "I think, no matter how bad she is, she wouldn't dare do anything to Mr. Ethan Yates."
"Plus, she's now the heiress of the White family. If she harms Mr. Ethan Yates, the White family would be doomed."
"Yeah, Ethan's trained in martial arts. Even if Ava had ten times the courage, she wouldn't dare mess with him."
Ashley's eyelids twitched. "But..."
She had a bad feeling. "I can't shake the feeling that something terrible is coming. After I was pushed off the cliff, I asked the thug if Ava sent him to kill me. He didn't answer, but his eyes gave it away."

"Open the texts and show Thomas to see if the times match."
Pauline found the text and handed it to Thomas.
Thomas saw the time the message was sent and said firmly, "Yes, it was around this time. When Mr. Michael Yates had his heart attack, his phone was still on him, so it wasn't stolen. The only possibility is..."
Ryan, being a cop, quickly picked up on this.
Ashley, with a dark look in her eyes, said, "So, when Grandpa had a heart attack, Ava used his phone to trick me into going up the mountain to get rid of me."
"Because she was jealous of me being with Ethan. She couldn't win openly, so she used dirty tricks."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Alex, who had been quiet, said, "I don't know who you're talking about, but if she's Ms. Wilson's rival in love, it's reasonable she'd try to eliminate her rival. But why harm the two elders?"
This was the key question.
"What motive would she have to harm the two elders?"
Everyone was stunned.
Yeah, why would Ava do that? She had no reason to bring trouble on herself.
Ashley couldn't figure it out.
"But Mr. Ethan Yates directly suspects Ava," Thomas added, equally baffled. Neither of them could figure it out.
Ryan analyzed, "Could it be that Ethan knows something or said something to Ava that made her want to kill?"
Ashley said, "Only Ethan might know. He went to see Ava alone, and I'm really worried about him. Mr. Reid, can you find his location?"
Ryan said, "I'll have someone check right away."
"Thank you."
Ashley was very grateful, but it felt like a heavy stone was pressing on her chest, making it hard to breathe.
She silently prayed, 'Ethan, you must be safe. Please don't let anything happen to you!'
Seeing her worried expression, Alex's eyes grew even darker.
"Ms. Wilson, it's getting late. I'll head back now and visit you again tomorrow."
"Okay."
Ashley kept her head down, feeling low, and didn't see the affection in Alex's eyes.
