Chapter 371 Ashley Descends from the Sky

After reviewing the documents, Ethan called Diannel on the internal line. "I've finished reviewing everything. Looks good—you can contact those four CEOs to arrange the signing."

"Yes, Mr. Yates."

Still stinging from being deceived during his Maridia visit, Diannel was determined to be extra cautious this time. Despite Ethan's approval, several concerns lingered in his mind.

He made a call, "Nick, I need you to handle something."

"What is it, Diannel?"

"Those four company executives—I want surveillance on their activities. If possible, see if you can monitor their communications."

"Consider it done."

Diannel and Nick were truly Ethan's indispensable right hands, each bringing crucial skills to the team.

Meanwhile, Josselin, under monitoring himself, believed everything was proceeding according to his plan. He smiled confidently, unaware that the Yates Group had already launched a deeper investigation with their extensive network of talented operatives.

Ashley and Landon returned to the mountains the following day. After breakfast with the family and William, Ashley disappeared into the medicine lab, working tirelessly until early evening.

Later, she emerged with two Panacea pills and approached William. "What do you think? Did I get them right?"

William took the medicine, carefully examining the color and smell. His eyes widened in surprise. "You actually produced Panacea in just two days!"

Ashley's face lit up with relief. "So I succeeded?"

"The color differs slightly from the hundred-year-old samples I gave you, but the formula and scent are correct. You've definitely succeeded!" William beamed with pride. "Ashley, you're remarkable."

Ashley blushed slightly. "I should thank you for the medical texts you provided. I simply followed the recipe and methods described there."

William shook his head. "Not everyone with a recipe can produce results. You have a genuine gift. When I pushed you to study medicine years ago and you resisted, I never imagined you'd demonstrate such aptitude. I'd like to pass my title on to you."

Ashley looked startled. "William..."

"Would you accept it?" he asked earnestly.

Ashley fell silent, contemplating the offer while the rest of the White family watched curiously.

Mia finally broke the silence. "Ashley, William has a point. This medicine represents centuries of research, and you reproduced it in just two days. That's extraordinary, and I'm proud of you. Why don't you take some time to consider his proposal?"

The tension in the room eased slightly.

"William, let me think about it," Ashley said.

"Of course. Take your time," he replied patiently.

Ashley carefully placed her creation in a small box, handling it like a treasure. "Landon, I want to return to Aurora to deliver this medicine to Katherine personally. Can you arrange the private jet?"

Landon nodded. "No problem. I have company business to attend to anyway. Liam, you stay here and look after Mom and Dad."

"Will do."

Ashley turned to William. "I'll give you my answer about the title when I return."

"That's fine," William said, watching Ashley and Landon depart with a sense of relief that his legacy might soon be in capable hands.

Back in Aurora that evening, Ethan was having dinner with Michael and Katherine when they heard the sound of helicopter blades whirring outside.

"Whose private helicopter could that be?" Katherine wondered as they stepped outside to investigate.

A rope ladder descended from the hovering aircraft, revealing Ashley's silhouette.

"Damn it, Ashley's climbing down that ladder—it's too dangerous!" Ethan shouted, already sprinting toward her.

Seeing Ethan approaching, Ashley smiled warmly and jumped the last few feet into his waiting arms.

He caught her and held her tightly against his chest. "What are you doing back so soon?"

Ashley wrapped her arms around his neck and planted a kiss on his cheek. "I missed you, that's all."
