Chapter 360 Mia Regains Her Sight

Nick was called into George's office for over an hour. When he came out, his countenance was notably somber. However, as he turned around, he happened to bump into Diannel.

"Diannel." Nick greeted.

Diannel offered a nod. Seeing Nick come out of George's office, a glint flashed in his eyes, but he didn't ask much and turned to go to Ethan's office.

Nick watched his busy figure, his eyes filled with conflicted emotions.

"Mr. Yates," Diannel began, "here's the information you requested about George. It's all in here."

"Good." Ethan began to flip through the documents, and Diannel hesitated to speak.

"Is there something else?" Ethan, noticing his inner confliction, inquired.

Diannel disclosed, "I just saw Nick come out of the George's office. They seemed to have talked for a long time."

Ethan's eyes sparked, and he instructed, "Subtly probe him."

"Got it." Diannel responded.

Diannel nodded and left the office.

Ashley slept in until nine in the morning and was still lounging in bed when the phone rang.

Seeing it was a call from William, Ashley remarked as she answered, "William, you finally called back."

William inquired, "I came to town to buy some supplies. I heard you called the convenience store owner saying you needed to talk to me?"

Cutting straight to the chase, Ashley replied, "Yes, William, I want to replicate Panacea!"

William, with a hint of astonishment, responded, "Panacea is the result of our centuries of effort, a miraculous medicine developed over hundreds of years. How long do you plan to spend replicating it?"

After a moment of contemplation, Ashley declared, "As soon as possible. If possible, I want results within three days!"

William, taken aback, exclaimed, "You're crazy, that's absolutely impossible!"

Ashley explained, "William, pushing myself is the only way to explore my potential. Ethan's grandmother has a terminal illness, and I want to use this medicine to save her life."

"Ashley, life and death are natural. Why go to such lengths? This is our town's treasure. I gave you all the Panacea back then. If you really need it, just use one." William suggested, showing his concern.

Despite William's sometimes eccentric behavior, he had a soft spot for Ashley. Whatever Ashley desired, William would agree to without hesitation.

"William, Yaakov has helped me a lot. As a condition, I promised to give him these two pills, so I want to replicate a batch for Katherine." Ashley disclosed.

Sighing, William conceded, "Once you've made up your mind, nothing can change it. I can only support you. The medical book for developing the medicine is with me. When do you plan to start?"

After a brief pause, Ashley proposed, "Should I come over now?"

"Alright," William agreed. "By the way, your mother's eyesight has recovered. When you come, you can catch up with her."

Ashley was pleasantly surprised, "Really?"

William said, "Would I lie to you? Your father's illness is also being treated and should recover soon." William assured her.

Ashley said eagerly, "William, I'll come over right away."

After hanging up, Ashley, full of joy, changed clothes and prepared to leave. Just as she reached the hall, she encountered Liam and Yara.

Liam inquired, "Ashley, where are you rushing off to?"

Ashley, her eyes sparkling with excitement, exclaimed, "Liam, William called me. He said mom's eyes have healed. I can't wait to go see her."

"That's great!" Liam's face lit up with joy. "Yara, go pack your things. Ashley and I are going to the countryside."

Yara nodded briskly and hurried off to prepare her belongings.

Turning to Liam, Ashley inquired, "Liam, are you going too?"

"Absolutely," Liam affirmed, his voice filled with warmth. "Now that my mother's eyesight has recovered, I must pay her a visit."

"Wait a moment, I'll call Landon." Ashley interjected, reaching for her phone.

Saying that, Liam called Landon to share the good news. While they were talking, Yara had already packed her luggage and came down with a suitcase, which Ashley quickly took.

At that moment, Ashley's phone beeped twice. With a quick glance, she read the text from Catherine: [Ashley, it's Catherine. Don't forget our dinner tonight. Don't stand me up.]

Realizing she had almost forgotten about the dinner, Ashley quickly responded: [Catherine, sorry, something urgent came up. I need to go to the countryside. I'll be back in three days. I'll treat you to dinner when I return.]

It seemed this dinner with hidden motives would have to be postponed for three days.

Ending his call, Liam informed Ashley, "Ashley, Landon said he wants to go too. Don't worry, we'll have a private plane pick us up."

"Understood." Ashley replied.

"Dad, where are you going?" Nora inquired, looking up at him.

Liam patted Nora's head and explained, "We're going to the countryside. We'll be back in three days."

Nora pouted, "Nora wants to go with Dad."

Liam hesitated, exchanging a glance with Ashley.

Ashley understood Liam's concern. If Liam took Nora, he would also take Yara. William had a quirky temper, and she feared these people wouldn't be able to handle it.

Ashley gently intervened, "Nora, be good. We're going to a very remote forest in the countryside. The road is tough, and there's no signal or TV. You'd find it very boring."

Upon hearing this, Nora's expression changed instantly, "In that case, I'll stay back."

Liam gave Yara a deep look and instructed, "Yara, take care of Nora and the house. We'll be back in three days."

Yara nodded and watched the siblings leave with Nora. She suddenly felt stifled, as if trouble was about to happen.
