Chapter 151 Eavesdropping
Remember when they were in Ferndale? A famous designer begged Ashley to mentor her. He was impressed but never followed up, so it just fizzled out.
Now, he heard 'Elisa' pleading with Ashley to be her mentor, looking all hopeful. He was shocked and amazed.
According to his research, Ashley was just an ordinary person. How could she attract these 'experts' as disciples? Or was his research off?
As Ethan pondered, he heard Ashley's voice.
Ashley coldly refused, "No, I don't want to take on any disciples right now."
Samantha looked disappointed, sighed, and pouted at Ashley. "Ashley, you've been guiding me for days. The design drafts I submitted to the Yates Group were all under your guidance. I may not understand design, but I'm good at drawing. Please, be kind and agree to take me as a disciple."
Elisa didn't understand design? Were all her drafts guided by Ashley? Ethan was amazed again.
But he noticed a flaw in Samantha's words. Wasn't she a popular designer? How could she not understand design? Did Ashley guide every draft she made? Ethan was shocked!
"If you want to learn design, enroll in a class first. I don't want to teach students with short-lived enthusiasm."
Hearing this, Samantha felt hopeful, and her eyes lit up.
"Then I'll enroll in a class first, and if I have any questions later, can I come to you for guidance?"
Ashley nodded.
Samantha was so happy she danced around and kissed Ashley on the cheek.
"Ashley is the best."
"What are you doing? That's my Master. How can you kiss my Master? Ashley, I want a kiss too..."
May, watching from the side, was jealous and pouted as she moved to kiss Ashley.
Ashley's pupils dilated, and she instinctively wanted to kick her away, but her foot wouldn't move, which made her very annoyed.
May planted a kiss on Ashley's cheek and said, "Master, you have so many disciples; don't forget about me. I'm the one who loves you the most."
Ethan was shocked again. Ashley had many disciples.
Landon and Liam were also shocked. Just as the three men were left speechless, Landon's phone suddenly rang.
The ringtone alerted the three women in the room to the presence of the three men outside the door.
Ashley's eyelid twitched, and she gave Samantha and May a warning look.
They exchanged silent glances.
Ashley whispered, "When did they get here? Did they hear what we just said?"
Samantha replied in a low voice, "I don't know when they arrived. They probably couldn't make sense of what we were saying, right?"
The three women looked at each other in confusion.
Landon hung up the phone and awkwardly cleared his throat.
Liam glared at him, thinking, 'This call came at the worst time. We haven't eavesdropped on more useful information yet.'
Ashley saw Ethan outside the door and smiled sweetly. "Ethan, when did you get here? Why are you standing outside?"
Ethan smiled. "I just arrived and saw Landon and Liam here. Mr. Landon White and Mr. Liam White, why are you here?"
Liam replied, "We heard that Ashley accidentally fell out of bed and were worried her injury might worsen, so we came to check on her."
Ethan nodded. "Come in and have a seat."
He stepped forward, and Landon and Liam instinctively made way for him to enter first.
Ethan walked to Ashley's bedside, and Samantha and May tactfully stepped aside.
"Honey, Landon and Liam came to see you. Let me help you sit up."
Ethan went to help Ashley, and Landon and Liam looked a bit embarrassed upon hearing this.
Ashley chuckled dryly and said, "Ethan, the DNA report came out earlier. I have no blood relation with them..."
