Chapter 408 Finding the Real Tony

"Ashley, after what happened last time, are you disappointed in me? Angry with me?" Ava put on a vulnerable act. "I'm a victim too, and now George has broken up with me because of it."

Ava was portraying herself as the injured party.

Ashley gave a cold laugh. "You got exactly what you deserved."

Ava's tearful expression faltered momentarily. Her eyes flashed as she stepped closer to Ashley. "Please, let me explain."

Before she could take another step, Ashley's five bodyguards intercepted, pushing Ava back with enough force to send her stumbling to the ground.

Ava cried out dramatically, eyeing the intimidating security team warily. "Ashley, why are they pushing me? Are these men yours?"

The commotion drew a small crowd of onlookers.

Ashley raised an eyebrow. "Yes, they're my security detail."

"I only wanted to talk," Ava said mournfully. "That wasn't necessary. I think I've hurt my ankle."

"I have nothing to discuss with someone who tried to seduce my husband," Ashley replied coldly. "Besides, who knows what you're really planning by approaching me? If you value your life, stay away from me."

Ashley had previously been cordial to Annie out of respect for her relationship with George. Now that Annie was no longer his partner, Ashley saw no reason to maintain the pretense.

Ashley said, "Pauline, let's go."

Ignoring the onlookers, Ashley took Pauline's arm and walked away. Pauline glanced back at Ava, a puzzled, investigative look crossing her face.

Ava stared at Ashley's retreating figure with undisguised hatred in her eyes, the intensity of her rage turning her gaze bloodshot—an expression Pauline happened to catch.

When they were some distance away, Pauline said, "Ashley, I develop facial recognition systems and have studied countless before-and-after cosmetic surgery images. That woman's face seemed unnaturally rigid, like she's had extensive work done."

"You think Ava's had plastic surgery?" Ashley asked.

"She resembles you closely—or rather, I think she's had surgery to look like you."

"There's nothing wrong with cosmetic procedures," Ashley mused, "but I wonder if she deliberately modeled herself after me or if it's just coincidence. I'll have someone look into it."

Pauline nodded. "Be careful around her, Ashley. There's something unsettling about her gaze."

"I will."

They continued shopping, purchasing several infant-appropriate toys before heading to a nearby restaurant, planning to visit the Weiss Mansion afterward.

Meanwhile, Ethan and James were leaving the hospital. "I should head back," James said.

Ethan checked his watch. "Not yet. Come with me first."

James looked surprised but followed Ethan to the parking garage, where they got into a car.

"Where are we going?" James asked.

"You'll see. I need you to verify something for me."

James grew more curious. His life had been chaotic, and having such a successful son sometimes felt surreal. He'd rarely succeeded at anything himself and never imagined he could be useful to Ethan.

During the drive, Ethan made a call. "Is everything ready on your end?"

"All set, Mr. Yates," came the reply. "Just waiting for your arrival."

Ethan's lips curved into a slight smile. "Excellent."

At the Addison Group headquarters, employees were preparing for lunch when a team of tall, serious men in suits and wireless earpieces entered the building. They systematically blocked off all routes to the CEO's office, creating a secure corridor.

"Who are you people? Leave before we call the police!" someone shouted.

"The internal lines are down!"

"Cell signals are blocked too!"

Panic spread through the office, with some people screaming in alarm.

Ethan stepped out of his luxury car and walked toward the CEO's office. The head of security approached him. "Mr. Yates, we've secured the building. No one's allowed in or out."

Ethan nodded, striding into the office area amid the frightened cries and whispers of employees.

"Bring Tony out, and you can all leave," Ethan announced coldly.

The employees exchanged glances before someone said, "Mr. Addison is in his office."

A man emerged from the office, looking both angry and frightened. "Ethan, what do you think you're doing? Are you above the law, barging into my company like this?"

Ethan smiled coldly. "You're not Tony. Produce the real Tony Addison, or I'll find him myself."

Ethan recognized this man as the impostor who had previously visited the Yates Group pretending to be Tony. Ethan had since obtained photos of the real Tony Addison, and this certainly wasn't him.

Scanning the room, Ethan spotted a man quietly moving toward the emergency exit. His eyes narrowed.

"Over there! Stop him!" Ethan commanded.
