Chapter 354 Acting Can Still Be Sweet and Interactive
President's Office
Ashley perched playfully on Ethan's lap, both of them grinning mischievously.
Ethan enveloped her, nuzzling into her neck and peppering her with kisses.
Ashley, blushing from his teasing, gently pushed Ethan away, her eyes silently cautioning him to tread lightly.
Ethan raised an eyebrow, ignoring Ashley's warning, and persisted in his advances.
Ashley felt helpless but shouted towards the door, "Ethan, are you getting a divorce or not?"
Ethan's response was a curt "No."
Meanwhile, Ethan's hands roamed inappropriately over Ashley's body.
Almost moaning, Ashley retorted sharply, "You've already cheated, and you won't get a divorce? Do you want to have both?"
Ethan countered, "Is the money I give you not enough? No matter how many women I have outside, I won't treat you badly. Don't be ungrateful."
Ashley shot him a withering look, realizing Ethan's underlying sentiments. She squinted her eyes and pinched Ethan's chest hard, looking furious.
Ethan, hurt by her pinch, grabbed her hand, looking innocent, as if to say, 'Honey, this is just an act. I didn't mean it.'
Ashley scoffed coldly, her expression saying, 'If you dare to keep women outside, I'll castrate you!'
Ethan signaled to Ashley with his eyes. Following his gaze, she saw shadows of feet at the door, indicating that many people were eavesdropping outside.
In a fit of frustration, Ashley demanded, "Ethan, divorce me, right now!"
Ethan was amused by Ashley. Seeing him laugh, Ashley couldn't help but laugh too. They laughed while shouting towards the door, "If you keep causing trouble, don't blame me for being rude."
"Are you going to hit me?" Ashley questioned defiantly.
Ethan threw the folder on the desk towards the door, making a sound like a slap.
"Ethan, you bastard, you really hit me." Ashley immediately understood, crying out.
"If you dare to hit me, I'll hit back!" Ethan declared.
In response, Ashley retaliated by hurling the folder towards the door as well.
The people outside heard the commotion inside. Not only were they arguing fiercely, but now they were also fighting.
Little did they know, Ethan and Ashley were inside the office, hugging and laughing hysterically, reveling in their collaborative performance.
Ethan held Ashley in his arms, his voice a soft murmur as he said, "Honey, I appreciate your cooperation."
"My acting is great, right? If I were in Hollywood, I'd definitely be the best actress." Ashley replied with a hint of pride.
"Yes, very great, my best actress Ashley." Ethan concurred.
Ashley handed Ethan a gift box, remarking, "This is a little gift I made for you, a couple's necklace for you and me. Open it and see."
Ethan asked in surprise, "When did you make this?"
As he spoke, Ethan eagerly opened the box, his expression filled with pleasant surprise.
Inside the box were two couple's necklaces. The male one was a striking blue, and the female one was a delicate pink. When put together, they formed a heart shape, simple yet exuding an elegant and noble aura.
Ashley revealed, "I made it after you fell asleep, working overtime."
Ethan asked with concern, "Why did you work so hard?"
Ashley replied with a smile, "It's a token of my lvoe for you. Don't underestimate this necklace; it has a hidden secret."
As she spoke, Ashley pressed a small button on the necklace.
The heart shape unfolded into a complete heart, revealing a photo inside, a wedding photo of Ashley and Ethan.
The blue one had "Ashley" engraved on it, and the pink one had "Ethan."
"Honey, thank you." Ethan whispered gratefully, pressing a kiss to Ashley's cheek.
Ashley advised, "Put the necklace away for now. Wear it at home later, so we don't get caught."
"Got it." Ethan nodded.
Ashley put the pink necklace in her pocket, and Ethan carefully placed the blue one in his pocket like a treasure.
Ashley whispered, "Honey, I have to go. Landon is calling me back to the White mansion for dinner. We need to keep up the act, so you shouldn't come."
"Okay, come back early." Ethan replied.
Ashley swiftly tousled her hair and skillfully applied makeup to create the illusion of being bruised, the realism almost uncanny.
Ethan was stunned, "Honey, I didn't know you were this adept at makeup. It looks incredibly authentic."
Proudly, Ashley responded, "Of course, with my makeup skills, I could even change my face completely."
"I'm going to meet George." Ashley declared.
Ethan's heart tightened, "No, what if it's dangerous?"
Reassuringly, Ashley said, "Don't worry. We must maintain the charade to lower his guard."
Without waiting for Ethan to speak, she walked out the door. Ethan repeatedly reminded her, "Honey, be careful."
Ashley nodded, "Okay."
George's Office
"What the hell is going on? Didn't you use fake documents to fool Diannel? Why does Ethan still suspect me?" Josselin questioned.
"Don't worry, I'll find a way to solve this." George replied helplessly.
As they spoke, footsteps sounded outside the door, and both of them looked alert.
George demanded, "Who is it?"
Ashley announced boldly, "George, it's me, Ashley. Your girlfriend seduced Ethan, and I'll come after you on this!"
