Chapter 594 The Sudden Appearance of Isabella
"Having sex with one of Prince Totti's women—now that would be thrilling!" Dexter exclaimed, his excitement palpable as he lunged toward Ashley.
"You bastard! Let me go!" Ashley struggled desperately.
With her hands pinned down by Dexter, she could only kick at him, but he seemed to anticipate her moves. He trapped her legs between his, immobilizing her in an awkward position.
Red-faced with anger, Ashley said, "Dexter, you know I'm with Prince Totti. If you touch me, you're signing your own death warrant. Let me go now, and I'll forget this happened."
"I'm already a dead man walking! I'm drowning in debt, barely making payments with my salary. Now that Prince Totti has fired me, I can't repay my loans. Debt collectors are hounding me. Since I'm going to die anyway, I might as well have you first!"
Dexter gave a sinister laugh and lowered his head to kiss her.
"Get off me!" Ashley struggled frantically, determined not to let him touch her skin. With both her arms and legs restrained, she had no way to fight back or escape. As the situation spiraled out of control, her eyes reddened with fear.
In that moment, all she could think about was Ethan.
He had been right—she should have been more careful. Her carelessness had led to this. There wasn't another soul around; her screams would go unheard. Tears streamed down her face as despair overwhelmed her.
In her heart, she cried out, 'Darling, I'm so sorry.'
Suddenly, Dexter tore at her clothes, exposing her collarbone with its fresh love bites.
Seeing this, Dexter's smile grew more malevolent. "Ms. White, let me show you what I can do. I promise I'll be better than Prince Totti!""Go to hell!" Ashley's eyes blazed with hatred. Baring her teeth like an enraged tiger, she lunged forward and bit Dexter's ear with all her might.
Dexter howled in pain, striking her repeatedly with his fists.
Though Ashley coughed blood and her vision blurred from the blows, she refused to yield. She bit down harder until she tore through his ear, drawing streams of blood and weakening him with pain. Seizing the moment, she shoved him off with all her strength.
Clutching his bloody ear, Dexter raged, "You crazy bitch! You've ruined my ear! I'll kill you for this!"
He lunged for her again.
Panic-stricken, Ashley scrambled to her feet and ran. Her business attire and heels made running difficult. Seeing Dexter gaining on her, she kicked off her shoes and hurled them at him.
In the critical moment, Ashley twisted her ankle.
She cried out in pain as she fell, unable to get up despite her desperate attempts. Tears streamed down her face.
"Run now, you crazy bitch! Let's see how far you get!" Dexter taunted.
"Stay back! Help! Somebody help me!"
"The palace grounds are heavily guarded. No one dares wander around here. You can scream until you're hoarse—no one will come! You bit my ear off, and now I'll make you pay!"
Dexter advanced like a demon from hell, closing in on Ashley step by step.
Terrified, Ashley backed away, her hand accidentally brushing against a rock. Her eyes flashed with sudden inspiration.
As Dexter reached for her, Ashley grabbed the rock and smashed it against his forehead with deadly precision.
Dexter clutched his head in shock.
Ashley had hoped the blow would knock him unconscious, but it only left him bleeding and even more enraged.
"I'm going to take you right now!" he growled, lunging at her.
Ashley closed her eyes in terror and screamed, "Help me!"
Suddenly, there was a dull thud, and Dexter collapsed on top of her.
Ashley opened her eyes to see Isabella standing there with a wooden club, having knocked Dexter unconscious.
"Ashley, are you alright?"
Finally snapping out of her terror, Ashley immediately kicked Dexter's limp body away from her as if he were toxic.
"Isabella, thank you," she cried, embracing her savior. If Isabella hadn't appeared when she did, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Isabella gently rubbed her back. "It's okay now. I'm here."
After composing herself, Ashley asked, "Isabella, I thought you'd gone home. What brought you back?"
"I realized I'd forgotten my keys after I got home, so I had to come back for them. I heard someone screaming for help and followed the sound. Thank goodness I did, or you would have been in serious trouble."
Ashley looked at her gratefully. "Isabella, you've done me such a huge favor. If you ever need anything—anything legal that's within my power—just ask."
"I saved you because I couldn't stand by and watch a good person be violated. I'm not looking for anything in return," Isabella said, helping Ashley to her feet. "I saw him trying to assault you, so I've already called the police."
As she finished speaking, police sirens wailed in the distance.
