Chapter 26 Marriage

"Enough!"

Ethan's voice cut through the air like ice. "Ava, we both know why I ended up another woman. It's too late to cry over spilled milk, and dragging this out is pointless. And if you dare barge into my office again, I'll call the cops!"

"Ethan, how can you be so heartless to me?"

"Weren't you heartless when you schemed against me?"

"I don't get why you'd push me to another woman, and why you're acting all reluctant now."

Ava felt a pang of sadness. She wasn't pure anymore and feared Ethan would despise her, so she found a seemingly innocent woman to cover it up... Who knew things would spiral out of control?

Ethan turned to leave.

Desperate, Ava rushed to hug him. "Ethan, don't be mad at me. It's all my fault. Let's stay together, okay..."

She lunged forward, trying to kiss him. A flash of disgust crossed Ethan's eyes as he turned his face away and pushed her off. But Ava clung to him, smearing her lipstick on his collar.

"Enough, get off!"

Ethan roared, pushing her away. "Someone, get this woman out of here!"

At his command, someone quickly pulled Ava away. Ethan coldly ordered, "Anyone who lets her in again will be out with her!"

With that, he turned and left.

Back in his luxury car, Ethan rubbed his temples in frustration. Suddenly, Ashley's face popped into his mind, and his mood instantly calmed. Thinking of her mischievous smile, a smile crept onto his lips.

'What is she doing now? Does she miss him?'

On the other side, Ashley misunderstood that Ethan was cheating. Her usually calm heart was in turmoil. The thought of him being with another woman made her restless and angry.

"This jerk constantly professes the importance of our relationship while maintaining a relationship with another woman!"

The more Ashley thought about it, the angrier she got. She started drawing on her sketchpad, and before she knew it, she had drawn Ethan's face.

"So annoying..."

Ashley scribbled furiously, making a mess of Ethan's face.

At that moment, the phone rang.

Seeing it was Ethan calling, Ashley angrily hung up.

In the car, Ethan was puzzled by the hang-up.

He called again. Ashley, not knowing why she was so upset and even jealous, saw him calling several times. She finally picked up and said, "Ethan, you..."

"Douchebag, you're keeping a mistress. I want a divorce!"

But before she could finish, his deep voice came through, "Where are you? I'll come pick you up."

Ashley, still angry, thought it would be better to talk face-to-face. "At home!"

Ethan chuckled, "Wait for me at the entrance in half an hour. I'll take you out for dinner."

Ashley was still angry, but hearing his voice, she inexplicably agreed, "Fine, let's clear things up face-to-face."

Half an hour later.

Ashley stood at the entrance and saw Ethan's car.

Ethan got out and opened the passenger door. "Get in."

Ashley huffed and got in the car angrily.

Neither spoke as they drove.

The car arrived at a secluded spot, sparsely populated but with beautiful scenery.

However, Ashley had no time to appreciate the view. She coldly said, "Ethan, if you..."

Before she could finish, Ethan suddenly hugged her and said in a deep voice, "Did you miss me?"

Miss him? Why would she miss a douchebag!

Ashley retorted, "No!"

Ethan, intrigued, said, "You're lying!"

With that, he lifted her chin and kissed her deeply and dominantly. Ashley resisted at first but slowly succumbed to his kiss.

Her alluring moans made the usually self-controlled Ethan lose his restraint. Suddenly, the car seat reclined, and Ethan pressed her down.

Under his 'attack,' Ashley gradually forgot her purpose, passionately wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Ashley..."

Ethan tugged at her clothes...
