Chapter 396 Tony is the Missing Hawk
"If you have something urgent to attend to, go ahead. Ashley is studying at Retreats, and she's safe with us here."
Ethan nodded. "Alright, William. I'll leave after dinner. Ashley comes out tomorrow - please let her know I've arranged a plane to pick her up."
William nodded. "Sure thing."
"Ethan," Liam said, "I haven't been home for over two weeks. I wonder if Nora's missing me. Mind if I leave with you tomorrow?"
As Liam spoke, his handsome face flushed slightly - surprisingly bashful for him.
"Of course," Ethan replied.
Mia had taken charge of all meals. Soon the table was filled with delicious food. Accustomed to Ashley's cooking, Ethan merely picked at his food before excusing himself to pack.
Liam followed suit, and they both emerged ready to depart at nearly the same time.
"Mom," Liam announced, "I'm heading back to Aurora. Dad still needs time to recover completely. You all should stay here at William's a bit longer to recuperate. I'll come back for you later."
"Fine, go handle your business," Mia replied.
Before leaving, Ethan bowed slightly to William. "Until next time, William."
William nodded with approval. "Take care."
Liam flashed a grin. "William, I know you'll be glad to see the back of me. I'm out of here."
William glared at him. "Get lost already!"
Ethan and Liam departed one after the other, loading their belongings into the car and driving toward town.
Half an hour later, Ethan finally got cell reception. He called his assistant: "Diannel, arrange the private jet. I need to return to Aurora immediately."
"Right away, Mr. Yates."
"Ethan, what's so important that requires someone of your stature to handle personally?" Liam inquired.
Ethan's lips curved into a sly smile. "A confrontation with someone."
Liam raised an eyebrow. As the Vice President of the White Group, he recognized the signs of someone heading into battle. "Well, may you return victorious."
An hour later, they boarded the private jet.
Two hours after that, they landed in Aurora. Liam headed to the White Mansion while Ethan went straight to the Yates Group headquarters.
Late at night, the Yates Group employees had long gone home. Using his fingerprint access, Ethan made his way unimpeded to the CEO's office.
He noticed several files on the desk and checked his phone to find messages from Diannel: [Mr. Yates, there are three files in your office. I've also emailed you surveillance footage of critical importance. Please review it as soon as possible.]
Exhausted, Ethan removed his coat and freshened up in the rest area, changing into a bathrobe before taking the files to the lounge.
Settling onto the sofa, Ethan began reviewing the documents.
The first file contained DNA test results for Tony and James, showing a 99.9% blood relation.
Ethan narrowed his eyes. "So Tony and my dad are related by blood. Could Tony actually be the missing Hawk?"
The second file contained comprehensive information about Tony. He had a 28-year-old son named Zane Addison, who served as Business Director of the Addison Group. The file included old photographs of Hawk in his youth, and remarkably, Zane bore a striking resemblance to him.
"Judging by his son's appearance, Tony must indeed be Hawk," Ethan concluded.
The third file was a medical record from a plastic surgery clinic, with Tony as the patient. Before and after photos presented a stark contrast.
These three files provided sufficient evidence that Tony was indeed the missing Hawk. His reasons for faking his disappearance, changing his appearance through surgery, and adopting a new identity likely had something to do with George's father's death.
After reviewing all documents, Ethan felt confident about Tony's true identity.
He checked the time and called Michael. After a few rings, he answered, "Hello, Ethan?"
"Grandpa, I apologize for disturbing you this late, but I have an urgent matter that requires your confirmation."
"What is it?" Michael asked.
Ethan paused briefly. "Grandpa, prepare yourself and try to stay calm. Do you have your medication nearby?"
"Just tell me what's going on."
"I've uncovered something... Hawk is alive."
On the other end, Michael fell silent for several minutes, seemingly struggling to breathe.
"Michael, are you alright?" Ethan asked with concern.
Having composed himself, Michael responded, "I'm fine. What's really happening here?"
Ethan continued, "I haven't figured out everything yet. What I need to know is what truly happened with George's father's death. Can you tell me the truth?"
Michael sighed heavily, his voice filled with sorrow. "He brought it upon himself."
