Chapter 63 Ask Your Husband to Buy a Big Mansion for Us

The thought of her parents living in that drafty house with furniture that looked like junk made her incredibly sad.

She hugged Ella tightly and cried, "Dad, Mom, you've been through so much."

They hadn't done a DNA test, and she still had doubts. But thinking about how they sold everything to find her and lived in poverty made her feel ashamed of her suspicions.

Ella said, "Ashley, don't cry. Finding you was worth everything!"

Ella gave Tom a look.

Tom chimed in, "Yeah, daughter, didn't you marry a rich guy? Maybe he'll buy us a big mansion right away."

Ella scolded, "What are you talking about? Ashley just got back, and you're already asking her to get her husband to buy us a house?"

Tom said, "Our daughter is so beautiful. It's a bargain for him. He should at least give us a wedding gift and a house."

Ella and Tom played their roles like a team, one being tough and the other nice.

Ashley frowned slightly but quickly let it go.

"Dad, Mom, I have money myself. I'll take you to buy a house right now."

Ella and Tom exchanged glances, silently communicating.

Ella asked, "Ashley, how much money do you have? Where's your husband? We should talk to him about the wedding gift. Buying us a house should be his responsibility."

Tom added, "Exactly, our daughter is so beautiful. He should at least give us a big gift and a mansion."

Tom held up five fingers.

Ashley asked, confused, "Fifty thousand dollars?"

Tom said, "Five million dollars!"

Ashley looked at them, puzzled. They seemed so honest, but how could they ask for a five-million-dollar wedding gift?

This behavior made her feel like they were selling their daughter, and she couldn't help but doubt them again.

Seeing her hesitation, Tom said, "Ashley, I heard your husband is the richest man. Five million dollars is nothing to him; even fifty million dollars wouldn't be a problem."

"You old fool, we're not selling our daughter. If you ask for such a large amount, we can't give a corresponding return gift. How will our daughter hold her head up in the Yates family?"

Hearing Ella's words, Ashley felt much more at ease.

Ashley held Ella's hand and said, "Mom, let's not talk about the wedding gift for now. Ethan and I already have kids. We'll take care of you in the future, don't worry. I won't let you suffer anymore."

"That's great; Ashley has a grandchild in her belly. We're going to be grandparents."

Thinking about a happy life with her family, Ashley couldn't help but smile.

She gently stroked her belly, not noticing the malicious and greedy look in Ella and Tom's eyes as they exchanged glances.

"Ashley, let's go out for a meal together. Call your husband so we can all get to know each other."

Ashley said, "He's on a business trip in Ferndale and hasn't come back yet. Mom, Dad, it's too dangerous to stay here. Let's go out to eat and stay at a hotel tonight. Tomorrow, I'll take you to buy a house, okay?"

Tom gave Ella a meaningful look, and Ella smiled. "Our daughter has made it. She's taking us to eat well and live well."

Tom and Ella's eyes were filled with desire.

The group got into a luxury car and left the village.

Passing by the Rocky Mountains Orphanage, Ashley sighed. "Mom, Dad, I grew up in the Rocky Mountains Orphanage, not far from Willowbrook Hollow. Why didn't you come to the orphanage to look for me back then?"

Tom and Ella's eyes flashed with panic.

Ella said, "Oh, when you were kidnapped, we thought you had gone far away, so we wandered around looking for you. Who would have thought you were in our city?"

"Yeah, it's our fault for being careless and missing you..."

Ashley smiled faintly, holding their hands. "Mom, Dad, don't be sad. Despite the years we've lost, we have finally come back together. What do you want to eat?"

Ella said, "Anything is fine."

Secretly observing that she didn't seem suspicious, Ella breathed a sigh of relief.

Tom said, "Since we've finally reunited, we should have a feast. There's a five-star restaurant in our city. Daughter, take us there to see the world."

Ella carefully observed Ashley and found that she didn't seem annoyed.

"Okay, Liam, take us there."

"Yes, Mrs. Yates."

Liam drove them to the Viennese Five-star Restaurant.

"Wow, it looks so fancy. Ella, we're rich now. We'll eat and drink well every day!"

Tom's eyes were filled with greed and desire as he looked at the luxurious building.

Ella kicked him. "Control yourself, don't let the girl get suspicious."

"Got it." Tom couldn't wait to go in. "The girl went to buy something. Let's go in first."

"Sorry, you can't go in."

"Why can't we go in? We're here to spend money!"

"Yeah, what kind of place doesn't let customers in?"

"This is a high-end club. If you're here to beg, please go somewhere else..."
