Chapter 558 Husband and Wife Manage New Products Together

"Your Highness, Mary's family and Andrei have been captured and are now being held in the palace prison," Ian reported.

In the hospital room, Ashley was carefully feeding Ethan some homemade broth as Ian continued, "His Majesty says their fate rests entirely in your hands."

"A quick death would mean our suffering was for nothing," Ethan replied coldly. "Issue the order: they are to live, but endure the dungeon's punishments a hundred times over. Living in torment is a far greater punishment than death."

"Understood, Your Highness."

Ian acknowledged the command but lingered, clearly with more to discuss.

"Is there something else?" Ethan asked.

"Your Highness, construction has begun on our joint formula facility with Aivalia. It should be completed within six months. Here's the project proposal for your review."

Ethan accepted the documents, scanning them quickly. "Good."

The plan was to complete the infant formula factory within six months. Meanwhile, contract manufacturers would produce their new formula for major promotional efforts, with Aivalia targeted as their primary market.

"Your Highness, His Majesty suggested appointing someone else to oversee this project while you recover," Ian said carefully.

"Has the formula prototype been completed?"

"Yes, Your Highness. Quality testing shows superior results across all metrics. We're just waiting to begin mass production."

"And the product name?"

"Well..." Ian hesitated. "We've considered many options, but the committee hasn't reached consensus."

Ian presented a stack of papers containing potential names. Ethan browsed through them with obvious disappointment.

"None of these are particularly impressive," he commented as Ashley gently wiped a drop of broth from his chin.

Ethan's eyes lit up suddenly. "Pearl, what do you think?"

"Me?" Ashley was surprised that he would consult her on such an important business matter.

"Yes, I'd like your opinion."

Ashley felt a rush of warmth at his trust in her. "I haven't named products before, but I can try. May I see the documents?"

Ian shifted uncomfortably. "Is that appropriate for confidential materials...?"

Ethan silenced him with a glare. "She has my complete trust," he said, handing the papers to Ashley.

After carefully reviewing the documents, she offered thoughtfully, "Since the formula closely mimics breast milk across five key dimensions, why not call it 'Mother's Love'?"

"Mother's Love?" Ethan repeated, considering it.

Ian looked skeptical. "That seems rather... simplistic."

"Not at all," Ashley responded earnestly. "Every child is the treasure of their mother's heart. All mothers want to give their children the very best. Both our formula and its name should embody maternal love. I think it's perfect."

"Brilliant, Pearl," Ethan smiled. "The name is excellent."

Ian remained unconvinced, though it was clear that in Ethan's eyes, everything Ashley suggested was flawless.

"Ian, we'll go with this name," Ethan declared. "And regarding new leadership—I disagree. I want to see this project through to completion myself."

"But your health..."

"I'll discuss this with my father. I've been in business for years and understand Aivalia's market better than anyone. Who could be more qualified than me?"

"As you wish, Your Highness. I'll inform the committee."

"Good, you're dismissed."

After Ian departed with a formal bow, Ethan rubbed his temples, clearly fatigued.

Ashley gently massaged his temples. "Ethan, you shouldn't overexert yourself while recovering. Perhaps you should follow your father's suggestion and let someone else handle this."

"This is the first collaboration between Gold Valley District and Aivalia, and crucial for our dairy products entering their market," Ethan explained. "I can't entrust it to anyone else."

"You're so stubborn," Ashley pouted, concerned but powerless to change his mind.

Seeing her worry, Ethan pulled her close. "Don't be upset. If you're concerned, why don't we manage this project together?"

"Me?" Ashley pointed to herself in surprise. "You overestimate me—I have no experience in this!"

"Don't you believe we can succeed as a team?"

"Not really."

"Then it's settled. I'll speak with my father about adding you to the committee."

Ashley wanted to protest but held back. When Ethan made up his mind, there was no changing it. She cared less about joining the committee than staying by his side to care for him.

"Excuse me, sir, it's time to change your dressings," came a voice from the doorway.

Ashley turned to see an unfamiliar, attractive nurse entering the room. She studied the woman for a moment. "Thank you. You're new here, aren't you?"
