Chapter 201 Preparing to Reorganize the Wedding
Morgan was giving Ethan a thorough check-up. While waiting for the results, Ethan said, "Ashley, since you're in Ferndale, the medical tech here is top-notch. Why not do your rehab here?"
Ashley thought for a moment and asked, "Can we get a doctor's appointment?"
"Leave it to Morgan," Ethan laughed. He turned to Morgan and said, "Morgan, set up a hospital visit for her cast removal and rehab."
"No problem."
Morgan looked at the test results and said, "Ethan, your inflammation's down. You might get some rashes in the next few days, but it's nothing serious. I'll prescribe some meds, and you'll be fine soon."
Ethan nodded.
Morgan went to get the medication, leaving Ethan and Ashley alone.
Ethan looked at Ashley, like he wanted to say something but held back.
Seeing this, Ashley asked, "Ethan, what's up? Got something to tell me?"
Ethan nodded, his voice heavy, "Do you know what's happening with the Yates Group?"
"Yeah, it's all over the place."
"Ashley..." Ethan's voice was hoarse, filled with guilt. "Aren't you worried the Yates Group might go bankrupt and I can't give you a better life?"
Ashley smiled, "Do you think I'm that selfish?"
"No, I'm just worried," Ethan sighed. "After the Yates Group crisis, the stock plummeted, and all our partners wanted to cut ties. In this situation..."
"Most people would stay away from me."
Ashley said, "So, I'm in the minority. We're a couple, through thick and thin. The Yates Group is in trouble; how can I just stand by?"
Ethan was deeply moved. He loved Ashley and always wanted to take care of her. But during the Yates Group crisis, he was scared.
Not because the Yates Group would go bankrupt!
He was scared... that Ashley would leave him.
"Ashley, thank you for staying with me..."
They looked at each other and smiled, eyes filled with affection.
"By the way, yesterday was the delivery date. Any issues with Diannel?"
Thinking about the Yates Group's safety, Ethan felt a heavy burden.
Ashley comforted him, "Ethan, don't worry. Diannel completed the follow-up, and Kelsey officially canceled the lawsuit against the Yates Group."
Even though Ethan was confident, hearing the news felt like winning a major battle. His heart raced with excitement and pride!
"That's great!"
Ethan held Ashley's hand and said, "Ashley, I owe you a wedding. Let's make up for it."
Ashley was surprised, then shyly said, "I donn't think it's necessary..."
"It's very necessary," Ethan said, "I'll make you the happiest woman in the world."
He cupped her face and kissed her forehead gently.
His tenderness made Ashley incredibly happy.
The pain in her wrist and the lifelong aftereffects seemed insignificant!
"Alright, I'll follow your lead."
They smiled at each other, and Ashley leaned into Ethan's arms, immersed in happiness.
Suddenly, Diannel burst in, not even reaching the door before his voice was heard. "Mr. Yates, you're awake! That's great! The Yates Group is in trouble; you need to come and take charge!"
