Chapter 109 Exposing Ava's Crimes 2
The two cops brought Ella and Tom up. They'd never seen anything like this and were scared stiff.
"Isn't this Mrs. Yates' parents?"
Ethan said, "They're not my wife's real parents."
Ethan turned to the couple. "If you come clean now, you might get some leniency."
Tom's legs were shaking, and Ella was just as scared.
Ella, trembling, said, "Someone told us to make a video and post it online. They said we'd have a rich daughter and live a wealthy life."
The crowd went wild.
Ethan asked, "Was it a man or a woman? What's their name?"
"It was a man. He had his face covered, so we couldn't see him, and we don't know his name."
'A man?'
'Does Ava have a partner?'
Ethan snorted, "These two tricked my wife and got a lot of benefits. I'll report this to the police, and their DNA report will be out tomorrow."
"If they're not Mrs. Yates' real parents, how can you prove she's the White family's daughter?"
Ethan smiled and pulled out a document. "This is the DNA report of my wife and Mr. White. You'll see."
Someone took the document and put the last page on the projector.
The big screen showed: Ashley and John White's Parent-Child Relationship Confirmed!
The crowd was stunned. "Wow, Mrs. Yates is really the White family's daughter? This is a perfect match!"
"That's right."
TV viewers were also shocked. This was more dramatic than a TV show!
Tears welled up in Ashley's eyes. "Ethan found my family. I'm actually... the White family's daughter..."
"Ashley, this is amazing. No one will laugh at you anymore."
Pauline hugged her.
Ashley hugged back, tears streaming, but she was smiling.
At the White family home.
Liam was shocked. "Landon, did you see this DNA report? Ashley is our sister!"
Landon's face went pale. "How is that possible? There must be a mistake."
Landon remembered all the insults he'd thrown at Ashley and felt like he'd been slapped.
"Brother, if you don't believe it, let's go find Ashley and get to the bottom of this!"
"Alright."
The two brothers went out, contacted Ethan's assistant Diannel, and with Ethan's consent, went to the hospital to see Ashley.
Meanwhile, the press conference continued.
"Everyone, the parent-child relationship between Ava and John is fake. And I have more to announce."
"Ava's been impersonating someone else. I gave her a chance to come clean, but she's a snake. She tried to harm my family and cover it up. I demand the police arrest her now!"
The cops looked at each other.
Just then, someone walked in and said, "I object! What you said isn't true!"
All eyes and cameras turned to her. It was Ava, wearing a mask.
Ethan stood up, furious. "It's her. She's done all sorts of evil. Officers, arrest her!"
The police were about to act when Ava shouted, "Stop!"
Ava sneered, "Ethan, you keep saying I've done evil deeds, that I impersonated your wife, that I harmed your family. But do you have any proof that I orchestrated all this and it wasn't just a coincidence?"
"Ava, confess to your crime. I won't let you get away with it."
Ethan had never met such a brazen woman.
Ava said, "I'm not the real Ms. White. Is that my fault? It was a misunderstanding. And the incident with your family was an accident. Find the evidence before accusing me!"
"You!"
Ethan's face turned red, veins bulging.
Ashley, watching on TV, felt bad seeing him so angry. "I didn't expect Ava to deny everything she did. It seems Ethan really doesn't have any evidence, which is why he's at a loss for words."
Pauline said, "Ashley, what should we do? Your husband is about to lose face."
"It's a pity I'm not agile, or I'd help him myself."
Ashley thought for a moment. "Contact May and give her half an hour to deliver the evidence to my husband."
Pauline said proudly, "Alright, it's time for the student you've taught to show her skills."
The press conference was live.
Ethan was furious with Ava but had no evidence.
The atmosphere got awkward.
Ethan signaled to the host.
The host got the hint. "Everyone, we'll take a half-hour break and then continue the press conference."
During the break, reporters swarmed for interviews.
Ethan, with a headache, refused the interviews.
The reporters surrounded Ava, bombarding her with questions.
Ethan laughed angrily. "Contact Ryan and have him send someone to The Yates Mansion to collect evidence."
"Yes."
