Chapter 162 How Obsessed is Felicity?

Samantha said, "Let's go see if her sapphire necklace matches the one you mentioned."

Liam got excited. He'd been trying to convince Landon to do another DNA test, but Landon wasn't interested. If they found that sapphire necklace, Landon might agree.

Liam said, "Sure, but I’ve never seen the necklace since I was abroad. Let's go together, take a photo, and show it to Landon. He knows it well."

Samantha nodded. "Deal."

Just then, the waiter brought their food, and Samantha's phone rang. She saw it was an unknown number and hung up.

Liam recognized the number immediately. "Ms. Zook, why didn't you answer?"

"Don't call me Ms. Zook, just Samantha. It feels more natural."

Liam was pleased. "Alright."

"It was a spam call anyway."

Liam raised an eyebrow. Landon's number was spam? He couldn't help but chuckle. Finally, a reason to laugh at Landon.

"It's fine. Samantha, this food is great, you should try it."

"Sure."

They started eating, but Liam kept sneaking glances at Samantha, feeling happy just watching her.

Meanwhile, at the White family home, Landon had just finished dinner and remembered he hadn't dealt with Samantha. He called her, but she hung up.

"Samantha, how dare you hang up on me!" Landon fumed, tossing his phone aside. Just then, a maid approached him.

"Mr. White, someone left something at the door."

Landon raised an eyebrow. "What is it? Did you see who left it?"

"She wore a mask, so I couldn't see her face. She just left the item and left."

Landon looked at a box making noise. "Open it."

Inside was a small white kitten.

"It's just a tiny kitten, about two months old." Landon’s eyes lit up as he gently picked up the kitten.

"Should I throw it out, sir?"

"No."

Landon held the kitten, stroking its head, and looked around. Seeing no one suspicious, he focused back on the kitten.

"I'll keep this cat."

Unbeknownst to him, Felicity was hiding behind a tree, watching. Seeing Landon with the kitten, she smiled, her heart full of him. She knew he'd adopt "their little pet."

Landon placed the kitten on the table and asked the maid to set up a bed for it. The kitten wriggled, but its leg was limping.

"Mr. White, this cat seems lame. Are you sure you want to keep it?"

Outside, Felicity listened through her headphones.

"Are you questioning me?"

"I'm sorry... I..."

"Just set up a bed for it. I need to think of a name."

Felicity smiled, happy to hear Landon's voice.

Landon had no idea his kind gesture would bring him trouble in the future.
