Chloe's eyes went wide, like, "No way!"
The dude in front of them, pushing sixty, was a big shot in the design world. This was Talon Wade, the legend himself!
Talon hailed from Aivalia, but his designs were famous everywhere. Every piece he made was a total masterpiece, still unbeatable!
While everyone was doubting Ashley's identity, no one would question Talon.
And here he was, shaking hands and hugging Ashley like they were old pals.
"Mr. Wade!"
Chloe blurted out, "You two know each other?"
"More than just know each other." Talon gave Ashley a friendly pat on the shoulder. "Elisa's from Atelier des Muses. I studied there too."
Hearing Talon's words, the crowd started buzzing even more.
"What's Atelier des Muses?"
"You might not know, but in the design world, there's this super secretive academy called Atelier des Muses. Only the insanely talented get in."
"So, Elisa's a design prodigy?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
Chloe was losing it. 'No way! Ashley is Elisa, and she's from Atelier des Muses?' She was green with envy!
Talon sighed, "It's just a pity..."
"Pity?" Chloe perked up, hoping for some dirt. "Did she mess up and get kicked out of Atelier des Muses?"
Talon shot her a cold look. "Elisa's a genius. She graduated in under six months. I heard you started your own studio, right, Elisa?"
Ashley smiled, "Thanks to you and my teacher. When you have time, come by Twilight Rain Studios. I'll treat you to a meal."
Chloe gasped, "You founded Twilight Rain Studios?" She practically deflated, sinking to the ground.
The crowd started buzzing again.
"What's Twilight Rain Studios?"
"Twilight Rain Studios is like Atelier des Muses. But while Atelier des Muses took centuries to become number one, Twilight Rain Studios, in less than a decade, is now just as strong!"
"Oh my god, she founded Twilight Rain Studios? Does that mean it's even better than Atelier des Muses?"
"Exactly..."
"This is mind-blowing. She's insanely talented."
Listening to Ashley and Talon, Ethan felt like he was riding wave after wave, barely keeping up.
He thought Ashley being Elisa was already a big deal.
But her being the dean of Twilight Rain Studios, tied for first place in the national design academy rankings? That blew his mind!
Talon said, "Alright, I'll definitely visit Twilight Rain Studios when I have time."
"By the way, someone was doubting if you were really Elisa earlier. Any doubts now?" Talon added, his voice turning serious. The crowd went dead silent.
Chloe couldn't handle the truth. She collapsed and fainted.
Kelsey, looking annoyed, said, "She ruined my birthday party. Someone, drag her out!"
"Yes!"
The guards dragged Chloe away, and Kelsey's birthday party went on.
Ashley and Talon, catching up after a long time, chatted about a lot. Ethan listened quietly, his mind far from the party. He couldn't wait to get home and grill Ashley about what else she was hiding...
After a long time, the party finally wrapped up.
Ashley took Ethan's arm, and they walked out. She waved goodbye to Talon, and they drove off.
In the car, Ethan stared at Ashley, his gaze intense, like the summer sun, almost burning her.
Ashley's face turned a bit red. "Honey, why are you looking at me like that?"
Ethan gently lifted her chin, his voice low and teasing. "Tell me, what else are you hiding? I didn't know you were not only the famous designer Elisa but also the dean of Twilight Rain Studios. Turns out I am the one not on your level?"
His tone had a hint of jealousy.
Damn woman, keeping this from him for so long!
