Ethan was all in, no hesitation at all!
Landon was shocked!
In Aivalia's business world, the Yates and White families each held a fifty percent share. A marriage between them would be a powerhouse alliance.
Anyone else would’ve ditched true love in a heartbeat to marry into the White family. But not Ethan; he valued family over profit.
Landon found himself respecting Ethan's integrity.
Ivy, panicking, said, "Ethan, what are you talking about!"
Ethan replied coldly, "Mr. White, your sister and I are history. I have a wife and kids now, and I won't betray them. Please don't push this."
Landon, surprisingly, admired Ethan's stance.
Landon said, "That's unfortunate. Our marriage agreement will have to be annulled. According to tradition, if our families don't become in-laws, the Yates family owes the White family a piece of central district land as compensation."
Losing out on a deal like this would upset anyone, but Ethan didn't care.
Ivy, desperate, said, "Mr. White, Ethan didn't mean it. We'll sort things out with that woman. The marriage can't be called off."
Ethan, furious, said, "Enough! I said I won't divorce. I'm serious!"
"Isn't it just a piece of central district land? It's only worth a hundred million dollars. Consider it a gift from me to you!"
With that, Ethan stood up to leave.
Ava stepped in front of him, pleading, "Ethan, I never wanted to ruin your marriage with Ashley. I just want to be with you. Can you let me stay?"
Ethan sneered, "What? Looks like Ms. White wants to be the third wheel in my marriage?"
"Ethan, watch your mouth!" Landon snapped.
Ethan shot him a cold look. "Then control your sister. Is it fun to chase a married man?"
"You!"
Landon was furious, but it was Ava who was being persistent.
"I'll have someone send you the deed to that land. Goodbye!"
With that, he turned to leave.
Seeing him about to go, Ava pleaded, "Landon, help me keep him here, please. I can't live without him."
She was determined to win Ethan back!
"Ava, he's not worth it. I'll find you someone better!"
"I..."
Ava was desperate. Seeing Ethan walk away and Landon unwilling to help, she resorted to a desperate measure.
"Ethan, you can't leave! You took my virginity. If you don't take responsibility, I'll kill myself!"
Ethan had just reached the door when he heard this bombshell.
Landon was stunned, but Ivy was thrilled.
Ethan turned back, coldly looking at her. "I took your virginity? I never even touched you!"
Ava had her response ready. "Remember the night I took care of you at Ferndale Hospital? You were delirious with fever and forced me. If you don't believe me, look at the evidence!"
She pulled out her phone and showed a photo.
The two of them were lying in bed together, both shirtless!
Ethan squinted, scrutinizing Ava.
Landon, furious, said, "Ethan, I didn't expect this from you. You forced my sister; you must take responsibility!"
Ava said, "Ethan, I gave you my first time. If you don't take responsibility... I'll... I'll kill myself!"
With that, she suddenly ran towards the wall, pretending to hit her head.
