Chapter 80 Mobilizing Efforts to Locate Ashley
"What? You can't reach Ashley?"
Tom and Ella were freaking out because they couldn't find Ashley. They called her friends, Sienna and Pauline, but they were just as shocked.
"Tom, Ella, don't worry. I'll call her right now," Sienna said, dialing Ashley's number.
"We've tried a million times. Her phone's off!"
Sure enough, it went straight to voicemail.
Pauline suggested, "Maybe she's at the Yates' place. Should we ask Ethan?"
Sienna replied, "I don't have Ethan's number."
Pauline said, "Isn't your husband in the business circle? Call him; he should have it."
Sienna hesitated, not wanting to call Nathan.
"What are you waiting for? Ashley could be in danger!"
Choosing her friend's safety over her pride, Sienna called Nathan.
After two rings, a woman's voice answered, "Hello."
Hearing a woman's voice, Sienna felt a pang in her heart.
"Where's Nathan?"
"He's in the shower. Can I take a message?"
Sienna's face went pale, her hand trembling.
Already? They hadn't even signed the divorce papers yet, and he was with someone else?
Pauline hugged her in sympathy.
Sienna took a deep breath. "Tell him to call me back immediately. It's urgent."
She hung up, biting her lip to hold back tears.
Pauline hugged her. "Sienna, don't waste your tears on that jerk. I'm here for you."
Sienna forced a smile and nodded.
Nathan came out of the bathroom and saw Rose Zeller holding his phone. His eyes turned cold. "What are you doing with my phone?"
Rose, his ex-girlfriend, looked a lot like Sienna.
Rose pouted. "Nathan, your ex-wife just called."
She emphasized "ex-wife" on purpose.
Nathan frowned. "Don't touch my phone without asking!"
He went out to return the call. Rose watched him, both angry and helpless.
Seeing Sienna's name on the caller ID, Nathan felt a slight stir in his heart.
She finally called him!
Nathan called back.
Sienna saw the caller ID, composed herself, and answered.
"You called me?" Nathan's voice had a hint of joy, but Sienna didn't notice. She said coldly, "Do you have Ethan's number? If so, send it to me."
Nathan was silent for a moment. "You called just for this?"
Sienna was puzzled. "What else? Oh, the divorce papers? I've signed them. The lawyer hasn't sent them to you yet? Let me know when you're free to finalize the divorce."
Nathan was silent again, then said, "I'll send the number to your Facebook."
After hanging up, Nathan felt a deep sadness and a headache.
Rose approached and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Nathan, let me stay with you tonight."
Nathan coldly pushed her away. "Get out!"
Rose bit her lip and left angrily.
Sienna got Ethan's number and called him immediately.
They found out Ashley had been kidnapped!
"What? She was kidnapped?!"
Tom said, "Damn it, I should have bought the house yesterday. If the kidnappers kill her, my mansion is gone!"
"Tom, what are you saying? Ashley's been kidnapped. Shouldn't you be worried about her? Why are you thinking about a house?"
Tom replied, "She promised me. If something happens to her, I'll ask my son-in-law to buy me a house!"
"You are just..."
They were infuriated by him.
"Sienna, don't bother with him."
They moved aside. "I put a tracker on Ashley, which even she doesn't know about. I can locate her immediately."
Pauline opened her laptop and started tracking.
"Found it. She's here. Let's go get her!"
Little did they know, Ethan was holding a press conference at that moment!
