Chapter 548 So Ina is Mary

"Your Highness, this is exactly what the doctor gave me!" Ian protested.

Ethan thrust the papers forward angrily. "See for yourself!"

Ian's eyes widened as he examined the results. "This can't be right... How is this possible? The children look exactly like you! How could the test be negative?"

Ethan was equally confused. "Pearl is Ashley. She was pregnant with our children when she was attacked. Andy and Nate absolutely share my blood. Something's wrong with this report."

His eyes fell on another document. "Is this another paternity test?"

"Yes, it is."

"Why are there two?"

"Your Highness, we had separate tests done on blood samples and hair follicles, which resulted in two reports."

That explained it.

Ethan flipped through the second report and found a completely different conclusion: Totti, Andy, Nate: Paternal relationship confirmed.

Having always known in his heart that the brothers were his children, Ethan felt an indescribable joy seeing the confirmation.

"Why does this report show a match while the other doesn't?" he demanded.

"I... I have no idea!"

Ethan's eyes flashed with keen intelligence. "Ian, go to the hospital immediately and check the security footage. See if someone tampered with the reports."

"Right away, Your Highness."

After Ian left, Ethan fell into deep thought. One report negative, one positive—someone must have switched the reports, unaware there were two tests conducted.

About an hour later, Ethan's phone rang.

"Your Highness, we've uncovered the truth. It was Ms. Ross who arranged to have your paternity test results switched!"

Ethan's eyes hardened. "Bring her in for questioning immediately!"

"Yes, sir! I've emailed you the surveillance footage."

As Ethan prepared to check his inbox, a police officer approached. "Your Highness, authorities in Aivalia have used advanced facial recognition technology to identify the kidnapper. His name is Andrei." The officer handed over a file.

Ethan scanned the information: Andrei, an Aivalian medical school graduate who worked at Gold Valley District's medical research facility before being demoted to janitor and eventually fired for fraud.

"He's already a wanted criminal who evaded capture through plastic surgery," the officer explained. "The system identified him through ear patterns, eye structure, and fingerprints."

"Find him. Now!" Ethan commanded.

"Yes, sir!"

Turning back to his computer, Ethan opened the surveillance video. It showed 'Ina' speaking with a man—Andrei himself.

They knew each other?

Ethan had suspected Marc or Mary might be behind Ashley's abduction, but never Ina. Watching the footage repeatedly, he noticed something strange about 'Ina's' mannerisms—they were eerily similar to Mary's.

The two women did look somewhat alike.

A bold theory formed in his mind.

Could Ina actually be Mary?

He immediately called Landon, "Have Ryan contact me. I need to use his facial recognition system."

After consulting with Ryan, his suspicions were confirmed. "Ethan, according to the analysis of these photos, this woman called Ina is actually Mary in disguise. The system detected differences in ear size that gave her away."

"Thank you!"

Everything made sense now.

His phone rang again.

"Your Highness, we've captured Ina and are interrogating her now!"

"She's not Ina—she's Mary! How dare she impersonate Ina to get close to me and seek revenge against Pearl. Her audacity is astounding."

"Have her publicly detained. When her parents see her humiliation, they'll likely come out of hiding. Then we'll capture them all."

"As you wish, Your Highness."

Such treatment of a young woman seemed harsh, but Mary deserved it for her malicious actions. Once they had the family, they could also find Andrei.

Ethan checked the time—two hours had passed since Ashley's abduction. The mere thought of her in danger made him tremble with fear. He clenched his fists, forcing himself to stay calm.

"Any sign of Andrei?" he asked quietly.

"Yes, Your Highness. We've located his vehicle. Security footage shows him leaving with a large sack—likely containing the person we're looking for."

"That bastard! I'll cut his hands off!" Ethan snarled, enraged at the thought of Ashley being stuffed into a sack. "Give me the address. I'm going after him myself."
