Chapter 120 Ivy's Intimidation

"What year is it? Who still sends notes? I thought we were living in the digital age."

Ashley was shocked. "Can you open it for me?"

She couldn't even move her fingers.

"Sure, Mrs. Ashley Yates."

The note revealed handwriting she knew all too well.

[Ashley, meet with me, or Ethan will suffer!]

No name, but Ashley recognized the handwriting. Her eyes turned cold.

With hatred, Ashley asked, "Is the person who delivered this still here?"

Chris caused her miscarriage, and Ava made her infertile. The pain was indescribable. Her hatred ran deep.

If Chris was outside, she'd make him pay.

The maid, not daring to read the note, answered, "Mrs. Yates, a child delivered it. He's waiting outside for a reply."

Hearing this, Ashley's chill subsided a bit.

"Get a pen. I'll dictate, you write."

"Okay."

The maid got a pen and paper. Ashley dictated, "I can't move my hands and feet. It'll take three months to heal. We can meet then."

The maid wrote it down.

"Good. Give the note to the child and have someone follow him to see who he meets and where he goes."

"Yes, Mrs. Yates."

After the maid left, Ashley's eyes darkened.

"Chris, in three months, you'll pay!"

Just then, the phone rang.

Ashley tried to answer, but pain shot through her bones.

"Is anyone there? Anyone?"

No response. She was furious. "Where did everyone go?"

She gritted her teeth, endured the pain, and struggled to slide the phone screen.

"Hello."

Samantha's voice came through. "Ashley, you have to help me!"

"What happened?"

Ashley's voice was pained, but Samantha, in her urgency, didn't notice.

"The Yates Group took on a huge jewelry design order. They need me to create a unique necklace in three days. I can't do it, Ashley. Why don't you just tell Ethan you're actually Elisa?"

"I..." Ashley sighed. "I can't move my hands or feet right now. It hurts just to answer the phone. I can't draw anything."

Samantha panicked. "Then what am I supposed to do?"

Ashley's eyes lit up. "Come to the Yates Group's old house with your sketchbook. I'll guide you."

"Okay, I'm on my way."

After hanging up, Ashley called out, "Is anyone there? I need to go to the bathroom."

"Hello, anyone?"

Still no response.

"Damn it, didn't they assign me six maids? Where did they all go?"

She couldn't move and needed help with everything. She felt utterly helpless and trapped.

As she endured the discomfort, she heard laughter from the doorway.

"I've heard so much about you. You do live up to your reputation. You are such a beauty"

"If my Ethan saw you, he'd be completely smitten by you."

"Mrs. Ivy Yates, please don't tease me..."

Ashley's pupils contracted, sensing something bad.

Footsteps approached the door.

"Mrs. Ivy Yates, I'm visiting Mrs. Ashley Yates without a gift. Isn't that rude?"

"It's fine. She can't move her hands or feet. Even if you brought a gift, she couldn't take it. Come on, I'll take you to see that useless person!"

'Useless person?'

Ashley was shocked. 'Is Ivy talking about me?'

Her eyes turned cold.

The door opened, and Ivy walked in with a girl. Ashley sized her up, and the girl did the same.

"Ashley, this is Felicity Zito, the daughter of the Zito family. Felicity, this is my daughter-in-law, but..."

Ivy left the sentence hanging, dripping with sarcasm.

"Hello, I'm Felicity."

"Hello, Ashley."

They locked eyes, with a hint of hostility in Felicity's. Ashley raised an eyebrow.

Ivy looked Ashley up and down with disdain but then smiled. "Ashley, we have a guest, and the maids are busy preparing lunch. So, there's no one to take care of you. You won't tell Ethan about this, will you?"
