Chapter 335 Stirring Up Trouble Again
"Nora is my kid? Damn, that woman was always lying to me!" Liam's eyes were a mix of shock and maybe a bit of happiness. He grabbed his phone and coat and bolted to the conference.
At the conference
Things got wild, and the reporters were buzzing!
"Liam? Is that Liam from the White family?" someone asked.
Another chimed in, "Yeah, it's him. Liam's engaged to June, that socialite from Aurora! But who knew he had a kid? Is it really his?"
"June and Yara both have the last name Lopez. Are they related?"
Yara's face went pale, but she gathered her courage and said, "The kid's father is Liam. Mr. White and I never dated. I got pregnant by accident and couldn't bear to abort the child, so I had her in secret and raised her alone. That's the truth."
"Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, I'm really sorry for all the trouble I've caused." Yara bowed deeply.
A reporter asked, "What about the paternity test report?"
"It was a mistake!" Morgan suddenly burst out from backstage, wearing a lab coat with bloodstains, scaring a bunch of people. The reporters went nuts, snapping pictures of him.
Morgan said, "I'm the one in charge of the paternity test. I checked the results, and it said Liam wasn't the father. But this report..."
Morgan continued, "There was a small accident on my way here, and the report might have been swapped. But I always keep backups of every report, and all my reports have my exclusive stamp!"
"And this report doesn't have my stamp!" he added.
Hearing this, Ethan quickly pieced it together!
How did Ivy know Ethan had asked Morgan to redo the paternity test?
And how did Ivy find someone to crash into Morgan?
Ethan knew he had to dig deeper!
Morgan pulled out another report and said, "This is the backup, and it has my stamp. Check the results!"
The host stepped up, flipped through the results, and said, "Ethan and Nora, the paternity is not established!"
The crowd went nuts.
Ethan gratefully patted Morgan on the shoulder and said, "Thanks for your hard work."
Morgan grinned, "You better repay me well!"
With that, Ethan turned to the crowd, his face serious, "This is the truth. So, for those saying I have an illegitimate child, my lawyer will be in touch with you!"
"And listen up, anyone who disrespects my wife from now on, don't blame me for being harsh!" Ethan's voice was firm, his eyes cold as he stared down the reporters who thrived on drama. But when he looked at Ashley, his expression softened.
Ethan stepped forward, took Ashley's hand, and said gently, "Why are you out and about? Didn't I tell you to rest at home?"
Ashley smiled, "I saw the news online and knew you had a tough fight ahead, so I came to support you."
Ethan was deeply touched by her words.
He never expected Ivy to mess with the paternity test by swapping it. If Ashley hadn't brought Yara to clear things up, today's mess might have been unfixable!
Ethan was once again amazed by Ashley and felt incredibly grateful to her.
He shot a look of disdain at Yara.
Holding Ashley's hand with one hand and her waist with the other, Ethan said, "There are a lot of people here. Walk slowly, don't hurt the babies."
Ashley beamed, "Okay."
The reporters went wild, snapping pictures, and someone asked, "Mr. Yates, is Mrs. Yates pregnant?"
Ethan looked at Ashley with love in his eyes, "Yes, with twins."
The crowd erupted in congratulations, "Congrats, Mr. Yates! Congrats, Mrs. Yates!"
Who said Ashley couldn't have kids? The couple just announced they were expecting twins, shutting down all those rumors!
Ava watched the live stream, thinking she could finally bring Ethan down, but once again, they turned the tables!
Furious, Ava threw her phone, her eyes burning with hatred.
"Damn it, Ethan, Ashley, you can't be lucky every time! I'll bring you down eventually!" she screamed.
Ava headed to the Xavier Mansion. Lucas knew his plan had failed, and Ethan would soon come after him. Lucas spilled everything he knew, and after thinking it over, Ava figured out the key issue.
"That day, Ivy saw the four of them go for blood tests and tampered with it. It's confirmed that Nora is Liam's child. But how could Ashley and Liam's blood relationship be established?" Ava wondered.
Lucas hesitated, "What do you mean?"
Ava's eyes gleamed with a cold light, "Ivy mixed things up. It's confirmed that Nora is Liam's child. But what if the story about Liam and Ashley being siblings is fake?"
Lucas gasped.
Ava smiled wickedly, "I know what to do now. This time, they won't be able to turn the tables!"
Ashley and Ethan, lost in the joy of soon becoming parents, had no idea that a new crisis was quietly approaching them.
