Chapter 540 The Reunion Scene

"Ashley!" Liam cradled the unconscious Ashley, panicking. "Doctor! Help! She's fainted!"

The two doctors by the door quickly set aside their DNA report and rushed over to examine Ashley.

"It's likely just a blood phobia. She'll be fine after some rest," one explained.

"Could you help me? I'm not exactly mobile right now," Liam gestured to his wheelchair.

"Of course. You handle your wheelchair, and I'll carry her back."

As they hurried away, the lab technician took the blood samples for testing, not noticing a shadowy figure entering the room and taking the paternity test report left on the table.

Mary examined the report in a secluded corner. It confirmed that Totti, Andy, and Nate were indeed related. Her eyes hardened with determination. "Damn it. They truly are the prince's sons. I cannot allow this!"

She made a quick call, "Andrei, I need a favor..."

Minutes later, Andrei appeared near the lab with a counterfeit report. "Here. Now pay up."

Mary handed him the money, and as he turned to leave, she added, "Wait. I need another service."

Andrei frowned impatiently. "What now?"

"This isn't pro bono work. I'm offering $100,000 to kidnap this woman and ensure she never returns to Gold Valley District."

Taking the photograph of Ashley, Andrei's expression shifted subtly as recognition flickered in his eyes. A strange smile crossed his face.

"For her? $500,000. Not a penny less."

Mary glared but knew she had no other options for such dubious work. "Fine. Deal."

After Andrei left, Mary examined the falsified report showing that Totti, Andy, and Nate had no genetic relationship. With a malicious smile, she placed the fake report back where the original had been.

In the hospital room, Liam watched Ashley anxiously. "Ashley, you had a blood phobia before your memory loss, and you still do now. You must be my sister!"

Ashley stirred, blinking in confusion. "Liam? Why am I in your bed?"

"You fainted during the blood draw. Rest a bit longer."

"I'm fine," she insisted, getting up. "You're the patient. You should be in bed."

After helping Liam back into bed, he said, "I've arranged for a professional caretaker—we should maintain proper boundaries. Just stay and keep me company."

"Of course."

Liam reached for his phone. "Let's call Landon."

"Shouldn't we wait for the DNA results?"

"No need. I know in my heart you're my sister."

He initiated a video call to Landon. With the seven-hour time difference, it was evening here but afternoon in Aivalia.

Landon and Samantha had just returned home from the hospital. Samantha's severe burns had healed remarkably well thanks to Yaakov's special medication, which had even improved her skin's elasticity.

"Landon, your phone," Samantha called out.

Seeing the caller ID, Landon quickly answered. "Liam? How are things?"

"I'm well, but guess who's with me?" Liam turned the camera to show himself with Ashley.

Ashley waved awkwardly. "Hi, Landon. It's me."

"Landon, can you believe it? I found Ashley as soon as I arrived in Gold Valley District!" Liam exclaimed.

"Landon? Why aren't you saying anything?"

On the other end, Landon's eyes widened.  And Samantha, seeing the screen, froze in shock.

"Can you hear me?" Ashley asked uncomfortably after the prolonged silence.

Finally, Samantha broke down. "Ashley! I knew you were alive somewhere! You heartless woman, why didn't you come back to us? Do you know how much I've missed you? I couldn't eat or sleep... you're so cruel!"

Landon finally composed himself, tears of joy streaming down his face. "Ashley, thank God we've found you at last!"

The emotional reunion moved Ashley deeply, despite her uncertainty about her identity.

"Where are Mom and Dad?" Liam asked. "Tell them we've found Ashley!"

"They're traveling," Landon replied. "A lot has happened at home lately, and they needed some time away."
