Chapter 190 Seeking Help

While Ethan was negotiating with Kelsey, Ashley was on a long, bumpy trip to a peaceful mountain area to seek help from William.

The rough road almost made her dizzy in her wheelchair.

By the time she reached the bamboo house, she looked pale and exhausted.

An elderly man in casual clothes came out to pour water. He noticed three girls at the door and was puzzled why they were there.

"Mr. Lynch!" Ashley called out sweetly.

William Lynch blinked, thinking he was dreaming. He rubbed his eyes and pinched his cheek. "Ashley?"

"It's really you. What brings you here?"

William saw the casts on Ashley's hands and feet and got serious. "What happened? Why are you in casts?"

Ashley smiled faintly. "Mr. Lynch, I'm fine. I'll be out of these casts in less than half a month."

"Don't call me your teacher when you're getting picked on like this! It's so embarrassing!"

William sounded tough but was clearly concerned as he checked her injuries.

Samantha and Pauline, who were with Ashley, thought he was looking down on her. They exchanged glances, clearly unhappy, but Ashley gave them a look, and they stayed quiet.

Noticing the two girls, William asked, "Who are these two?"

Ashley introduced them. "Mr. Lynch, this is Pauline, my student, and this is Samantha, my friend."

Pauline said, "Hello, Mr. Lynch."

Samantha said, "Hello."

William nodded. "Come inside and sit."

The bamboo house was old but had a unique, comforting fragrance. The simple decor suggested William lived alone.

After they sat down, William poured tea. "Ashley, you messaged me saying you got married. Why didn't you bring your spouse?"

Ashley's eyes dimmed. "Mr. Lynch, I came to ask if you could help Ethan."

"Ethan? Your husband's name?"

The name sounded familiar to William.

Ashley nodded. "His company is having issues. His assistant called; they're negotiating now, but we don't know the outcome. I thought you might have connections in Ferndale to help during the negotiations."

"Tell me the details. I need to understand before I can help."

Ashley explained the situation with the Yates Group. William nodded in understanding.

"So that's how it is..."

William chuckled. "You're my best student. If your husband needs help, I can't let you down. Don't worry, I've got this!"

Samantha and Pauline exchanged puzzled looks.

An old man in a modest house claiming he could help? Did he even know Ethan's opponent was Ferndale royalty?

"Mr. Lynch, since you've promised, I believe you!"

William chuckled, dialed a number, and spoke fluent Ferndalian. "Aron, it's me. Busy with work? If not, do me a favor... You're the best person for this!"
