Chapter 142 Exposed

Felicity was scared of Ethan but knew his weak spot was Ashley. If she could create enough trouble, Ethan would be too distracted to target the Zito family. Otherwise, her life with them would be a living hell.

When Felicity suddenly accused him, Ethan was shocked and furious. "You're lying. I haven't done anything to you!" he snapped.

Worried Ashley might get the wrong idea, Ethan quickly added, "Honey, don't believe her. There's nothing between us!"

"Nothing? Then why am I in your bedroom like this?" Felicity sneered. "Ms. Wilson, he's cheating on you and still playing the good guy. If you believe him, you're just being fooled!"

"You!" Ethan was livid.

Ashley, watching them, felt a headache coming on.

When Felicity came out of the bathroom, Ashley was stunned. Her first thought was that Ethan had betrayed her, and it felt like a stab to the heart.

But Ethan's firm denial made her doubt again.

Both were sticking to their stories, so one had to be lying. Ashley took a deep breath to calm down.

She eyed Felicity. "You said he touched you again?"

Felicity's eyes flickered. "Yes!"

"Come closer, let me see."

Felicity, confused, stepped closer.

Ashley examined her closely.

Ethan, thinking she didn't trust him, quickly said, "Honey, it's not what you think. I didn't touch her."

Ashley asked, "You really didn't touch her?"

She looked at Ethan seriously.

Feeling a bit guilty, Ethan admitted, "I had just showered when she lay on the bed. I thought it was you. When I hugged her, I realized something was off. I was about to kick her out when you knocked on the door."

Ashley clicked her tongue. "What a coincidence."

Ethan's heart sank.

"So, you believe her and not me?" he asked, disappointed.

Ashley secretly rolled her eyes.

Ignoring Ethan's mood, she examined Felicity closely. "Come a little closer."

Felicity was puzzled but stepped forward.

Ethan said, "Honey, don't let her get close to you. She might hurt you."

Ashley smiled faintly. "Aren't you here? How could she hurt me?"

Ethan, feeling hopeful, wondered what she meant. Was she blaming him or trusting him?

Felicity stood still, and Ashley's lips curled up. "What, scared to come closer? Feeling guilty?"

Felicity immediately stepped forward. "Of course not."

Standing next to Ashley, Felicity didn't know Ashley had a keen sense of smell.

When Felicity got closer, Ashley sniffed and confidently said, "You're lying. Ethan didn't touch you. Falsely accusing someone is illegal."

Felicity's eyes widened. "Ms. Wilson, don't be foolish defending him. Aren't you afraid it'll happen again?"

Even Ethan was surprised by Ashley's words.

Ashley said, "I have evidence."

"You accuse Ethan, but your clothes don't have his scent. We can do a fingerprint test, and there won't be any of his prints on you."

"Plus, no signs of struggle on your skin. Your messy hair looks self-inflicted, and you smeared lipstick on purpose. We can use science and evidence to prove our innocence."

"Ms. Zito, want to argue?"

Ashley looked radiant, like a cool detective from a TV show.

Ethan, standing beside her, saw her in a new light.
