Chapter 337 Liam's Flash Marriage
Ethan came rushing over, not even noticing Felicity standing next to Ashley. He nudged Felicity aside a bit. Landon showed up too, having heard the commotion, and saw Felicity glaring coldly at Bolt, who was hissing at her furiously.
"Honey, you're bleeding!" Ethan said, worried.
Landon pushed Felicity away harshly and asked, "Ashley, what happened to you?"
Ethan held Ashley's hand, looking pained, "Does it hurt?"
He glared at the agitated cat, "Did it scratch you?"
Ashley said, "It's weird. When Samantha and I petted him before, he was super chill. Why is he so freaked out today? Honey, he didn't scratch me on purpose."
Hearing the name "Samantha" again, Landon stiffened, but everyone was too focused on the blood on Ashley's hand to notice his reaction.
Ethan brought over a first aid kit, "Honey, it's just a cat; it doesn't have human emotions. You're pregnant now, so you shouldn't touch it. Sit down, and I'll clean the wound first."
As he spoke, Ethan used iodine and a cotton swab to treat Ashley. Landon said, "I'll call our private doctor right away to get Ashley vaccinated!"
Landon had already made the call, and the doctor would arrive at the White Mansion soon.
Landon had had Bolt for a few months and had grown attached to it. He knew Bolt was usually very gentle, but recently, Bolt had been irritable, especially since Felicity moved into the White Mansion.
Landon said sternly, "Felicity, did you do something to make Bolt hurt Ashley?"
Everyone had been concerned about Ashley, making Felicity extremely jealous. Landon hadn't noticed that he almost knocked Felicity over, which made her even more resentful.
Facing Landon's accusation, Felicity said, "I didn't do anything. It was the beast that hurt her. What does it have to do with me?"
"Bolt is sensitive. How can you call it a beast?" Landon said.
Felicity was incredulous, "Are you seriously arguing with me over a cat?"
"Landon, stop arguing." Ashley intervened, "I just got scratched by a cat. It's no big deal."
Ethan carefully treated Ashley, speaking with a mix of concern and reproach, "Honey, you're pregnant now. Getting scratched by a cat might affect our babies."
Ashley pouted, "You only care about the babies."
Ethan looked at Ashley helplessly, about to say something when the private doctor arrived. Landon quickly said, "Ashley is pregnant, and she got scratched by a cat. Will it affect the babies?"
The private doctor said, "It's not serious, and the cat doesn't seem to have rabies. As long as Ms. White gets a rabies vaccine and has regular check-ups, there shouldn't be any major issues."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Only Felicity stood in the corner, her expression dark and menacing.
The private doctor gave Ashley the vaccine, "The vaccine is done. Remember to have regular check-ups."
"Thank you."
After seeing the private doctor off, Landon took Bolt with the help of a servant to isolate it in a room, while Felicity went to the kitchen.
Seeing no one around, Ethan held Ashley's hand and coaxed, "Honey, you can't touch animals anymore. I'm not just worried about the babies, I care about you too. It must have hurt a lot to get scratched."
Ethan looked pained.
Ashley said, "I'm fine. Bolt is really a gentle cat. It was rubbing against me at first, then it suddenly got scared and jumped up."
Ashley hesitated, "It seemed to get scared when it saw Felicity. I was petting it at the time, and it accidentally scratched me."
Ashley looked around and whispered in Ethan's ear, "Honey, I think Felicity might have some psychological issues. Do you think she could have abused Bolt? That's why he's so agitated?"
Ethan said, "No matter what. You can't go near animals anymore."
Ashley had a bad feeling, "Honey, I was just advising Felicity not to scheme against Landon. I don't know if it's good or bad that she moved into the White Mansion."
Ethan held Ashley's hand, "Landon knows what he's doing. Let's not interfere."
Hearing this, Ashley nodded solemnly.
At that moment, they heard a car parking outside. They looked over and saw Liam getting out of the car, followed by Yara and Nora.
Yara looked at the mansion with a hint of inferiority, reluctant to go in. Nora held Liam's hand, looking excited.
Seeing Yara's reluctance, Liam frowned impatiently, "What's wrong? Many women would consider it a privilege to be part of the White family."
Nora pouted, "Daddy, don't be mean to Mommy!"
Liam looked at Nora with tenderness, patting her head, "It's my fault. Let's go inside."
Liam held Nora's hand and carried a suitcase into the mansion.
Ashley and Ethan stood at the door to greet them.
"Ashley, Ethan, you're both here!" Liam greeted.
Ashley and Ethan nodded, "Landon invited us home for dinner."
Liam noticed the bandage on Ashley's hand and asked worriedly, "Ashley, are you hurt?"
Ashley smiled, "I'm fine. Yara, Nora, come in and sit."
Yara stood at the door in a daze. Liam glanced at her with a complicated expression, "Ashley, she's your sister-in-law now."
Ashley was shocked, "Liam, you got married?"
