Chapter 266 Treat Ashley's Infertility
The Next Day
Sunlight poured through the window, lighting up the cozy bedroom. Ethan woke up to see Ashley's beautiful sleeping face. Remembering the wild romance from yesterday, his heart felt all warm and fuzzy.
Ethan grinned and planted a kiss on Ashley's cheek.
"Hey babe, I love you," he said.
People always said Ashley was lucky to snag a guy like Ethan. But what they didn't know was that, in Ethan's heart, marrying Ashley was the luckiest thing ever!
Ashley turned over, slowly opened her eyes, and saw Ethan staring at her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a kiss.
"Morning, babe," Ashley said.
"Morning," Ethan's eyes sparkled. "Just now..."
Ashley cut him off, "Babe, don't you have an important meeting today? Get up and get ready."
It seemed like Ashley hadn't heard his heartfelt confession again. A flicker of disappointment crossed Ethan's face, but he quickly shook it off.
They headed to the bathroom, one taking a shower, the other brushing their teeth. Even in these everyday moments, there was a sweet vibe between them.
After breakfast, Ethan kissed Ashley's forehead and said, "Babe, I'm off to work."
"Okay, drive safe. I'll bring you lunch later," Ashley smiled.
"Cool."
After watching Ethan leave, Ashley threw on a light jacket and headed out. It was early autumn, and the mornings and evenings were getting a bit chilly.
Ashley had a therapy session with Yaakov today.
After the last mix-up, they picked a more secluded room in a mountain lodge this time.
While massaging, Yaakov watched Ashley's face. Seeing her grinning like a fool, he pressed down harder.
Ashley yelped, "What the heck? That hurts!"
Yaakov smirked, "Seeing you smile like that, I figured you were up to no good, so I pressed a bit harder."
Ashley touched her face and huffed, "I was clearly smiling brightly, you're blind if you think I looked sly!"
Yaakov clicked his tongue, "Everyone knows about your sweet night. Can't you be a bit more low-key? If Ethan ever cheats and you two break up, no one will believe in love anymore."
Ashley huffed, "You're just jealous. My babe is a good guy, there's no way he'd cheat."
Yaakov chuckled, "Is there any guy who doesn't cheat? Do you trust him that much?"
Ashley said confidently, "He's my husband, of course, I trust him. He'd never betray me!"
Yaakov felt a bit stung.
He sighed, "Alright, where's that thing you promised me last time?"
"I'll give it to you." Ashley's eyes gleamed mischievously. "But you gotta do me another favor."
Yaakov groaned, "What now? I helped your husband with that panel discussion and treated your injury. Isn't that enough?"
Ashley smirked, "The Panacea Master gave me has the power to bring the dead back to life. It can boost your rep in the medical field. Don't you think it's worth doing me one more tiny favor?"
Yaakov took a deep breath. "What do you need?"
Ashley grinned, "Don't act like I'm twisting your arm. It's not a big deal. Someone messed me up before, and I became infertile. Think you can fix that with your skills?"
Yaakov looked at her, stunned. "Someone did that to you?"
He wanted to laugh it off, but seeing her fierce expression, he got serious, "Infertility can be treated, but you need to get checked first. Once we have the results, I can prescribe the right treatment."
"So, you'll help me?" Ashley asked.
"Of course." When it came to his senior sister's health, he wouldn't mess around.
"Alright, I'll go to the hospital for a check-up this afternoon and bring you the report," Ashley smiled.
"Okay."
Yaakov resumed the massage, and after about two hours, he finally pulled his hands away.
"How's your hand feeling now?" Yaakov asked.
Ashley tried moving her wrist. After the last session, her severely trembling hand had only trembled slightly, and now, after this session, it was noticeably steadier.
Ashley said, "Your medical skills are seriously impressive."
"Get the check-up report to me ASAP. I gotta go abroad tomorrow," Yaakov said. "I can see your hand isn't trembling anymore. For future therapy, you can massage yourself. Two more sessions should lock in the results."
Ashley stood up and patted his shoulder, "Alright, thanks. I'll head to the hospital now."
Yaakov packed up his stuff, and Ashley turned to leave.
Ivy had come here to meet a friend for tea and was surprised to see Ashley coming out of the private room. Then she saw a man coming out after her.
Yaakov ran over, and Ivy instinctively hid in a corner.
Yaakov said, "Wait, I'll give you a ride..."
"Thanks," Ashley said.
Ivy watched them get into the car together and fumed. "What a shameless woman, daring to cheat on Ethan!"
