Chapter 46 Revenge Must Be Taken
Ethan was pissed. "What the hell are you doing?"
Water spilled on the computer, making a sizzling sound. The screen went black immediately. Ethan's handsome face darkened, veins popping on his forehead as he glared at Ava.
Ava quickly apologized, "Ethan, I'm sorry. I was careless and broke your laptop. I'll get someone to fix it right away."
Ava grabbed the laptop, but Diannel swiftly took it from her.
"Ms. Lee, I can fix the laptop. You don't have to trouble yourself."
Ethan's laptop had a ton of confidential company files, so letting an outsider repair it was out of the question.
Ava looked at the laptop that was taken away, her eyes flickering, but she could only say, "Alright, thank you."
She looked at Ethan with a pitiful expression and said, "Ethan, I'm so sorry. Are you mad at me?"
Ethan took a deep breath, rubbing his temples in frustration.
If it were anyone else who dared to do this, they would have been kicked out long ago. But... facing Ava, thinking about how she risked her life to save him, he felt a bit helpless.
Ethan sighed and said, "No, you can go out now. I want to rest."
"Okay, I won't disturb you then."
Before leaving, Ava couldn't help but glance at the laptop in Diannel's hands.
After she left, Diannel said, "Mr. Yates, I will fix the laptop as soon as possible."

Ava eavesdropped on their conversation at the door, feeling extremely anxious.
She absolutely couldn't let Ethan see the information about Ashley's family. She had to act first!
So, she went to a secluded corner and made a phone call. "Bobby, I need you to do something for me again. I can pay you a lot..."

Ashley didn't want to be the center of attention, so she dressed modestly.

Ashley wasn't very good at initiating social interactions, so she turned her attention to the food.
Just as Ashley was about to taste some pastries, she overheard someone nearby sneer, "The women at this banquet are all relatives of the Ferndale royal family or well-known socialites. Who is this woman? She's dressed so poorly. How did she get invited?"
"I heard Her Majesty invited a few foreign guests. Could she be one of them?"
"How could Her Majesty's guest be dressed so poorly? She might be a family member trying to climb the social ladder."
"She looks like a tramp. Too bad there are only women here, so she has no chance to seduce any men."
Hearing this, Ashley rolled her eyes and walked to a secluded spot with her pastries.
At that moment, a jealous noblewoman holding a glass of red wine deliberately spilled it on Ashley as she walked by.
"Tramp, I just don't like you!"
"Edina, it's inappropriate to insult her in front of others."
"What are you afraid of? She doesn't understand Ferndale's language."
Edina gave Ashley a fake smile, pretending to apologize, but actually said, "She should feel honored that I spilled wine on her."
Ashley rubbed her temples, looking at Edina as if she were an idiot. Seeing a waiter with red wine approaching, she picked up a glass and unhesitatingly poured it on Edina.

Ashley said in perfect Ferndale language, "Lady, you insulted me first, so don't blame me for being rude!"
Edina was shocked. "You understand Ferndale's language?"
Ashley rolled her eyes and said in Aivalia language, "Idiot!"
Edina asked, "What did you say? Are you cursing me?"
Ashley smiled faintly and said in Ferndale language, "Idiot is a term of respect. Remember to use it to greet Aivalia people next time."
See if they beat you up.
The girl next to Edina, Sophie, said, "Your clothes are dirty. Why don't we go to the dressing room and change?"
Edina snorted coldly at Ashley and left with Sophie.
The front of Ashley's dress was stained, but she didn't bring a spare dress. Her eyes fell on the flowers on the table and the tablecloth of the same color, and she had a sudden inspiration.
She asked a waiter to bring her a box of needles and thread. Once everything was ready, she tore the tablecloth and took out the delicate flowers from the vase.
This action attracted a lot of attention, even Kelsey, who was talking to others in the distance, noticed the commotion and focused on Ashley.
