Chapter 89 They are the True Love
Around seven in the evening, Sienna brought a boxed meal to the hospital to visit Ashley.
"Ashley, how long have you been sleeping? Want to get up and move around?"
Ashley had been crying silently for a long time when she was alone in the hospital room. She dozed off in the afternoon. Hearing Sienna's voice, she looked a bit dazed, taking a moment to snap out of it.
"Sienna, why are you here?"
"I was worried about you, so I came to check on you. If you don't take care of yourself now, it'll be hard to get pregnant later."
Ashley glanced at her slightly bulging belly with a lost expression.
"Ashley, let me help you sit up for a while."
"Thanks."
Sienna helped her sit up and took out the meal box. The aroma of the food was overwhelming.
"This is the chicken soup I made to nourish your body, Ashley. Have some."
"Thanks."
Ashley took the bowl and drank a few sips of the chicken soup, but it tasted bland in her mouth.
Unintentionally, Ashley's peripheral vision fell on Sienna's neck, where there were very obvious hickeys on her swan-like neck.
Noticing her gaze, Sienna blushed and covered her neck.
Ashley set down her bowl and asked, "Sienna, your neck... Have you made up with your husband?"
Sienna's eyes dimmed, and she shook her head.
"Then why are you still..."
Sienna bit her lower lip lightly, a hint of sadness flashing in her eyes. "We haven't signed the divorce papers yet. That jerk insists on fulfilling his marital duties..."
Although her voice carried a complaint, it was more of a playful coquetry.
Ashley sighed. "It seems like you two won't be getting divorced."
Sienna said defiantly, "No way, we've agreed to go through the divorce procedures the day after tomorrow."
Ashley was in a really bad mood and couldn't focus on comforting Sienna. She just said, "Just make sure you don't regret it yourself."
While Ashley spoke, deep inside, she felt heartbroken over the loss of her child.
Seeing her sorrowful expression, Sienna felt deeply sorry for her and hugged her. "Ashley, don't stay immersed in sadness. We need to live well in the present..."
"I will."
Ashley sniffled, burying her pretty face in Sienna's shoulder.
The two women hugged each other, creating an especially warm atmosphere.
When Ethan arrived at the hospital, he saw a man standing at the door. He looked at him warily.
The man seemed to recognize him and nodded, politely extending his hand. "Mr. Yates, I've heard a lot about you."
"And you are?"
"Nathan, CEO of the Weiss Group."
So it was Mr. Weiss.
Ethan shook hands with him.
"Do you know my wife?"
"My wife is quite familiar with your wife."
Saying this, Nathan stepped aside a bit and quietly opened the door.
Ethan walked in and saw Sienna telling jokes, looking cute and funny, and making Ashley laugh.
Seeing Ashley's long-lost smile, Ethan felt a sense of relief.
He quietly exited the room.
The two tall men walked to the hallway window. Nathan took out a cigarette and asked, "Mr. Yates, do you smoke?"
Ethan took the cigarette and said, "Thanks."
Nathan's gaze fell on Ashley's ward. Recalling the interaction between the two women, he couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. "Sometimes I think the one my wife loves is Mrs. Yates, not me."
Ethan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Oh, what makes you say that?"
Nathan laughed. "She cares about Ms. Wilson far more than she does about me."
Ethan felt speechless and replied, "Even jealous of a woman? Your wife must find you insufferable for being so petty..."
