"Ms. Wilson, what's going on? You're already seriously hurt, and you keep getting injured. Are you trying to end up paralyzed or something? Why are you doing this to yourself?"
The doctor looked stern and spoke seriously, sighing as he glanced at Ashley.
It was the first time Ashley had ever been scolded by a doctor, and her face turned red with embarrassment.
"Sorry, it's just been a series of accidents."
"Are you a family member? You're not taking good care of her. Her injuries are worsening, not healing."
Sienna asked, "Doctor, how is she doing?"
"The fracture is worse. If she doesn't follow medical advice, she could end up disabled. Also, today's scan showed issues with her stomach and intestines. We need another test to find out what's going on."
The room got tense after hearing this.
Ashley lowered her head, lightly biting her lip, lost in thought.
Seeing her like this, Sienna felt heartbroken.
"I'll come back this afternoon to reapply her medication. Please take good care of her and stop her from getting hurt again."
"Okay, thank you, doctor. Sorry for the trouble."
After the doctor left, Sienna couldn't help but cry, hugging Ashley tightly.
"Ashley, you've suffered deeply! Don't go back to the Yates family. Go home, and I'll find a good caregiver for you, okay?"
Ashley lowered her eyes. "It's not entirely the Yates family's fault that I'm like this..."
"I think you just can't bear to leave Ethan, right?"
Ashley sighed. "If I leave suddenly, Ethan will be angry. Let's call him and see how things are."
"Okay, I'll call for you."
Ashley didn't know that while she was undergoing tests at the hospital, Ivy was brainwashing Felicity and instructing her to bring a late-night snack to Ethan at the Yates Group.
Felicity felt nothing and mechanically went to deliver the snack. When she arrived, Ethan was in an emergency meeting, and everyone looked busy. Felicity had been there for a while, but no one noticed her.
Diannel, busy with work, got a call from Ivy, who told him about Felicity's visit and asked him to help out.
Feeling helpless, Diannel saw that Ethan was still in the meeting and didn't want to disturb him, so he went out to handle it himself.
As soon as Diannel stepped out of the meeting room, he saw Felicity.
"Ms. Zito, right? Mrs. Ivy Yates told me you'd be here. Hand over the snack, and I'll give it to Mr. Yates."
Diannel reached for the lunchbox, but Felicity pulled it back.
"Sorry, Aunt Ivy told me to deliver this to Ethan personally."
Diannel sighed.
"Mr. Yates's meeting might last another three hours. If you wait, the food will get cold. Let me handle it."
"No, it's fine. I'll wait."
Diannel felt exasperated. Clearly, she was here to see Ethan, not just deliver food.
"Suit yourself. There's a rest area over there. Please don't wander around."
"Okay, thanks."
Felicity went to the rest area, found a seat, and watched the busy employees, lost in thought.
After a while, she got up and wandered over to the CEO's office.
Just then, the phone in the office started ringing.
Felicity wanted to call someone, but seeing no one around, she took a deep breath and entered the office.
The phone kept ringing, showing five missed calls.
The caller ID read "Darling."
Seeing this, Felicity felt a surge of jealousy towards Ashley, envious of her loving husband.
She felt life was unfair. Why did others get happiness while she faced so much unfairness and abuse?
In a moment of agitation, a wicked thought crossed her mind.
She answered the phone, "Hello."
"Ethan, I..."
On the other end, Ashley was surprised to hear a woman's voice. "Who are you? Where's my husband?"
Felicity raised an eyebrow, her eyes filled with malice. She made her voice sound seductive. "Are you talking about Mr. Yates? He just got intimate with me and is now taking a bath. Need something from him? I can pass a message."
Ashley widened her eyes in disbelief.
"Impossible! You're lying! Ethan would never cheat on me!"
Felicity didn't expect Ashley to trust Ethan so much. Seeing Ethan approaching the office through the glass window, she had a flash of inspiration.
"You don't believe me? I'll let him talk to you."
Felicity hid the phone behind her back. At that moment, Ethan stepped into the office. Seeing Felicity there, he was first surprised, then angry.
"Felicity..."
"Ethan, you were amazing just now. You wore me out."
Ethan looked puzzled.
