Chapter 49 Ashley Takes on a Disciple
The speaker was a woman from Ferndale, and as soon as she showed up, the crowd gasped.

Liam said, "Landon, Mom used to be super talented in design. Look at this woman's style; doesn't it remind you of Mom's? I even thought she might be our sister!"

Ethan felt a lot more relaxed when he saw Chloe show up.
He was worried Ashley would mess up, so he paid Chloe a lot to say nice things.
Chloe looked at Ashley and playfully winked. "Ms. Wilson, your designs are amazing, simply stunning. If you don't mind, could you take me as your apprentice?"

Everyone was skeptical!
Chloe must be joking!
Even Ethan was surprised.
Ethan thought, 'Chloe may be doing this for money, but she's overdoing it! She should tone it down!'
Ashley gave her a warning look and said, "I just dabble; I can't take you as an apprentice."
Chloe said, "If you can be this good just dabbling, you could definitely become a master if you took it seriously. Ms. Wilson, please take me as your apprentice!"
With that, Chloe even bowed.
Everyone was shocked.
Chloe's acting was terrible!
Ethan couldn't stand it anymore and sent Chloe a text: [You're overdoing it, tone it down!]
Ashley stepped forward and whispered in her ear, "That's enough. If you keep this up, you won't be allowed to come to Twilight Rain Studios for further studies!"
Twilight Rain Studios was a prestigious academy in the design world where only truly talented people could study. However, no one knew that the school's board member and principal was actually Ashley!
Chloe had only found out about this big shot, Ashley, by accident!
With such a great opportunity in front of her, she shamelessly sought to become her apprentice!
Upon hearing this, Chloe's expression changed, but she quickly became cunning again. "If you don't agree to take me as your apprentice, I'll keep bowing here! Or I'll reveal that you're the principal..."
Ashley’s mouth twitched, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes. "I hate being threatened."
Chloe’s face went pale. "I’m sorry, I misspoke in a moment of panic. I'll never reveal your secret! Ms. Wilson, please, take me as your apprentice!"
Chloe’s eyes were full of sincerity.
Ashley met her gaze, and after a long moment, seeing no hesitation in Chloe’s eyes, her heart softened.
Sensing the curious, jealous, and complex emotions from the crowd, Ashley just wanted to leave quickly.
Ashley took a deep breath. "Fine, I agree. Now get up!"
Chloe’s eyes lit up. "Thank you, Master!"
With that, she kowtowed three more times.
"I’m very happy to announce to everyone that from today, Ms. Wilson is my master!"
This was just too outrageous!
Ethan held his forehead.
Too exaggerated!
Back at the White family home...
Liam said, "Landon, I told you there would be a big twist. The White Group values talent the most. Someone as talented as her should be recruited to work there."
Landon began to look at her with newfound respect.
"She is indeed capable. I’ll find a way to contact her."
The banquet continued.
While Ashley and Chloe were talking, a guard came over and said, "Mrs. Yates, Mr. Yates is waiting for you in the room."
"Okay, I’ll be right there."
Ashley had just left when Chloe received a call from Ethan.
"Chloe, your performance just now was too outrageous. Announcing Mrs. Yates as your master—aren’t you afraid of becoming a laughingstock in the design world?"
Chloe laughed. "How could I be a laughingstock? I'm just lucky to have Ms. Wilson as my master. Mr. Yates, you are the luckiest man in the world to be her husband. You better treat her well, or I won’t let you off!"
Ethan was baffled by her words.
What was she talking about?
"Ethan, why are you looking for me? Weren’t you in the hospital? How did you end up here?"
Ethan hung up the phone and looked at Ashley. "Who told you to show off just now? If I hadn't brought Chloe to support you, I wonder how you would have handled this situation."
Ashley looked at him in confusion.
"You brought Chloe?"
This idiot made her take on a cheap apprentice for nothing, and he still had the nerve to blame her.
Ethan announced domineeringly, "Yes, from now on, you are not allowed to leave my side. Otherwise, if you cause trouble again, I might not be able to help you next time!"
