Chapter 177 Misunderstanding Deepens

"Thomas, if you've got something to say, just say it."

In this family, Ethan only felt warmth from his grandfather, Ashley, and Thomas.

Just thinking about Ivy's self-righteous attitude gave Ethan a headache and broke his heart.

Thomas started, "The night before last, Mrs. Ashley Yates, she..."

Before he could finish, a phone rang.

"It's Diannel. Let me take this first."

Thomas nodded. Diannel had been Ethan's trusted assistant for years, usually calling about company matters.

"Hello."

"Mr. Yates, there's a problem with the Ferndale order. We hit a customs issue during delivery, and Ferndale is threatening to sue us for breach of contract..."

Ethan frowned. "For minor issues, consult the legal team."

Diannel sounded anxious. "Mr. Yates, it's the billion-dollar order with the Queen. Some goods got damaged in customs, and the Queen is threatening to sue. We've tried calming her down, but she insists you come to Ferndale immediately for a face-to-face."

Ethan cursed, "Damn it."

The Yates Group had some under-the-table dealings with customs to avoid issues, but this order had complications.

"Arrange a private jet, prepare for immediate departure."

Ethan hung up, glanced at the unconscious woman in the cage, and instructed, "Thomas, get her out. She's not allowed in the Yates mansion anymore."

Thomas hesitated but finally said, "Okay."

"By the way, what were you saying about Ashley the night before last?"

"The night before last..."

Before Thomas could finish, Ethan's phone rang again. Thomas sighed quietly.

"Hello."

"Mr. Yates, the private jet is ready. Head over first, and I'll bring your luggage and documents."

"Okay."

As soon as the call ended, a private jet appeared in the sky.

"Mr. Yates, the company's matters are urgent, but please remember to take care of yourself while you're in Ferndale handling company affairs."

"Okay."

With the interruption, Ethan forgot to follow up on the previous question, and seeing how busy he was, Thomas didn't continue about what happened the night before last.

Thomas thought, 'Mr. Yates should handle the business soon. It won't be too late to tell him when he returns; otherwise, it might affect his work.'

The plane landed in the Yates family's parking lot.

Ethan and Thomas headed over together, and on the way, Ethan called Ashley.

He was oblivious to the seed of doubt he'd sown. When Ashley called that morning and heard a woman's voice in the background, her initial trust in him shattered!

This news hit Ashley like a ton of bricks, making her world collapse.

She was extremely upset, but unable to move, she could only lie in bed, biting her lip in frustration.

The caregiver came in to help Ashley freshen up and was startled to see her mouth bleeding. "Ms. Wilson, why is your mouth bleeding? What happened..."

Olivia Zayas hurriedly wiped the blood from her mouth.

Ashley turned her head away, not wanting to see anyone.

Just then, the phone rang.

"Ms. Wilson, your phone is ringing."

Olivia picked up the phone and asked, "Should I answer it?"

Seeing that the caller was Ethan, Ashley, who was already sulking, now became completely furious!

She angrily said, "Turn off the phone, the ringing is giving me a headache!"

"Alright..."

Olivia didn't ask why and just turned off the phone as requested.

"Ms. Wilson, you didn't have breakfast, and now it's lunchtime. Let me bring you some food."

Ashley said, "I can't eat, Olivia. I have a headache and want to sleep."

"...Alright then."

Seeing her low spirits, Olivia wanted to say something but didn't know how to start.

Olivia tucked Ashley in and left the room.

As the door closed, Ashley couldn't hold back anymore and started crying.

Olivia heard Ashley's sobs from outside the door and felt heartbroken.

Olivia found Sienna and said, "Ms. Nelson, Ms. Wilson hasn't eaten all day. This isn't good. Is something bothering her? I just heard her crying."

Sienna said, "I know. I'll find someone to comfort her. Don't worry."

"Alright, I'll get back to work."

After Olivia left, Sienna's eyes shifted, and she called Alex.

Meanwhile, by the plane, Ethan had called Ashley several times, but suddenly the message said, "The number you have dialed is currently switched off..."

Ethan frowned, puzzled at his phone.

"Mr. Yates, what's wrong? The plane is about to take off. Here's your lunch; you can eat it on the plane."

"Okay."

Ethan took the lunchbox from Thomas and said before leaving, "I couldn't reach Ashley. Please contact her later and tell her I'm on a business trip to Ferndale."
