Chapter 300 A Family of Five

"Ashley, you hit the mall?" Liam asked.

Before hopping in the car, Ashley had already pulled herself together, hiding her sadness and acting like everything was cool.

Ashley said, "Just got some gifts for everyone."

"You're being too formal! There's no need to bring a gift when you're coming home," Liam said, leaning in to help Ashley with her seatbelt. As he got closer, he noticed her eyes were puffy.

"Ashley, what's up with your eyes?" he asked.

Ashley's heart hurt, and she turned away, saying, "A bug flew into my eye earlier. I must've rubbed it too much. It's nothing, it'll be fine soon."

Liam didn't think much of it and said, "Alright, buckle up. Mom and Dad are waiting."

With that, he started the car and headed to the White family home.

What they didn't know was that Nora was pointing at Liam's car, saying, "Mommy, it's Liam and Ashley. Aren't they siblings? Why did they seem so close just now?"

Yara looked where Nora was pointing. She had actually seen the car earlier, and from her angle, it looked like they were...

Yara's face showed a hint of weirdness as she said, "Nora, you're still a kid. Don't say stuff like that! Ashley's out of the hospital. Let's go."

They had come to visit Ashley, carrying flowers and fruit, but now it seemed pointless to go into the hospital.

"Alright then," Nora mumbled as she followed Yara away.

The White family

Ashley, worried they'd notice her puffy eyes, bought some ice on the way and applied it for over half an hour in the car. By the time they got to the White family home, her eyes were back to normal.

Landon, who had been on a business trip, rushed back after hearing from Liam. He was with a beautiful woman and a middle-aged man.

As Ashley got out of the car, Liam introduced, "Dad, Mom, brother, this is our long-lost family. We finally found her!"

After seeing the paternity test report, Landon no longer resisted Ashley and even felt a bit guilty.

Ashley smiled at Landon, making him feel even more ashamed.

John looked at Ashley in a daze, excitedly grabbing her hand, saying, "My daughter! I finally found you!"

Beside him was John's wife, Mia.

Mia's appearance was almost identical to Ashley's. Even though Landon occasionally had doubts, seeing the two of them up close, he no longer had any.

Mia, with unfocused eyes, looked at Ashley and said, "Is it my daughter? Let me touch you. You must be a beautiful girl, right?"

Mia stepped forward, trembling as she tried to touch Ashley, her hands waving in the air.

Seeing this, Ashley felt a pang of sadness. She quickly took Mia's hands and placed them on her face, saying, "Dad, Mom, it's me. I'm back!"

Mia's trembling hands stroked Ashley's face, and tears streamed down her face. "My Hayes, you're finally back. You've grown up and look just like I did when I was young."

Although Mia was blind, her sense of touch and hearing were extraordinary.

John, looking more composed now, said, "Hayes, it's good to have you back. From now on, our family will never be separated again!"

John, emotionally, hugged Mia and Ashley. Liam and Landon exchanged glances for a moment before joining the hug. The family of five embraced each other, crying uncontrollably.

After a long while, Ashley said, "Alright, Dad, Mom, Landon, and Liam, are we going to keep hugging like this? Aren't you hungry?"

With that, Ashley broke into a smile through her tears.

Liam said, "Everyone, calm down. We have plenty of time to spend together. Let's go have lunch."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Having finally reunited, John and Mia clung to Ashley, asking her all sorts of questions about where she had been and how she was doing.

Ashley knew they were concerned about her and patiently answered their questions.

Landon remained relatively silent. Liam, while serving food, said, "Mom and Dad, don't worry about Ashley. Her husband is a famous tycoon in Aurora and he's fiercely devoted to her. Ashley is living a happy life now!"

Mia asked, "Really?"

Ashley's expression stiffened for a moment. "Yes."

Mia, holding her hand, said gratefully, "That's wonderful. I prayed day and night, hoping you would meet good people. It seems you are lucky enough!"

Ashley's face showed a hint of embarrassment. She picked up a bowl, took some food, and fed it to Mia. "Mom, let me feed you."

It was the first time Mia experienced her daughter feeding her, and she was overjoyed,"Alright, thank you, Hayes!"

Landon finally spoke, "Ashley, don't just feed Mom. You should eat too."

Ashley smiled at him, thinking about Felicity and not knowing how to bring it up. But Landon noticed it.

Ashley said, "Thank you, Landon. After we finish eating, I have something to tell you!"
