Chapter 24 Deal
Ethan took a close look at the wedding rings.
The woman's ring was small and delicate, while the man's was grand and high-end. Together, they looked perfect and stunning.
Ethan asked, "What's special about these rings?"
Ashley replied, "The unique design symbolizes eternal love and a stable marriage, implying that the couple will never part and always support each other, just like our marriage will last a lifetime!"
Ethan raised an eyebrow. A lifetime marriage?
He was a family-oriented man, and hearing her say this made him look forward to their married life even more.
What Ethan didn't know was that Ashley had beautiful expectations for their marriage when she designed the rings.
Ethan said, "Let's go with these. Engrave our names on them."
The sales assistant beamed. "Alright, Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, please wait a moment..."
Ashley smiled. "Mr. Yates is so generous, spending 10 million dollars on a pair of wedding rings without hesitation."
Ethan leaned in and whispered, "Don't be polite with me; if you like it, just buy it."
She spoke so highly of the rings, and he needed a long-lasting marriage, so he was naturally willing to buy them.
Ashley blushed at his flirtation, giving him a playful glare.
Her shy reaction made Ethan half-squint his eyes, his Adam's apple bobbing.
An hour later.
Ethan and Ashley walked out of the jewelry store, each with a ring on their finger, shining brightly.
"Ethan, it's getting late; I need to go home."
"Okay, I'll take you."
"You have a lot of work; if you're busy, I can go back by myself."
Ethan checked the time; he did have a lot to do at the company. "Alright then, be careful on your way; I'll head to the company first."
"Okay."
Ethan watched her get into a taxi before driving back to the Yates Group.
As he reached the company entrance, he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. Ethan frowned slightly and turned to walk in another direction. Ava had been waiting at the entrance for a long time, and upon seeing him, she quickly followed.
Ashley returned home, looking at the diamond ring on her hand, feeling as if everything was a dream.
Seeing her return, Sienna mentioned that her husband had come back from a business trip, so she needed to go home but she was worried about Ashley being alone.
Ashley then told Sienna about the marriage, and Sienna, after hearing it, said it was too outrageous, but in the end, she gave her blessings. Ashley walked Sienna out.
On the way back, she saw a husky running towards her from a distance.
Ashley's eyes widened in fear.
"Buddy, don't run around..."
The husky didn't listen to its owner and suddenly pounced on Ashley.
"Ah..."
Ashley covered her face and screamed as she was knocked to the ground by the husky.
The husky's paws were on her, licking the back of her hand with its tongue, wagging its tail happily.
"Buddy!"
Alex hurried over, pulling the dog away with its leash. "Miss, I'm very sorry. Did it scare you?"
Ashley finally removed her hand and, seeing the man in front of her, accused, "Why didn't you keep your dog on a leash!"
The man smiled apologetically. "Sorry, did it scare you... Oh, it's you, do you remember me?"
"You are?"
Ashley then carefully looked at him. The man was dressed in casual clothes, looking sunny and handsome, with an inherent gentleness.
"Don't you remember? Last time, an old lady tried to scam you for money, and I helped you call the police. We even added each other on WeChat. I'm Alex Hill!"
Ashley smiled. "Oh, it's you."
"Your dog is quite naughty; make sure to keep it on a leash next time."
"Woof~"
Buddy seemed to like Ashley very much, wagging its tail happily at her.
"It seems to really like you..."
