Chapter 312 Is There a Problem with the Report?
The sudden change hit Landon like a ton of bricks, leaving him totally blindsided.
He rubbed his face in frustration, his mind a mess, unable to make any decisions. Seeing this, Ashley patted his shoulder, sighed, and tried to comfort him, "Landon, I know this is really hard to take in."
Ashley remembered how she felt when she first found out that Nora was Ethan's kid. It wasn't much different from what Landon was going through now.
Ashley's heart ached a bit as she said, "I went through something that made me feel like my world was falling apart too. When I first heard the news, I cried for ages."
"I took a couple of days to calm down before I started dealing with it," Ashley continued. "Landon, you need to take a breather first. Once you're feeling a bit better, you can figure out what to do about Felicity's situation, okay?"
Landon knew she was trying to help and nodded, his voice rough, "Okay, I need a few days to think this through."
Right now, Landon was too confused to think straight.
They sat in the office. Ashley looked at Landon's worried face, unsure how to comfort him. They sat in silence for over half an hour, neither of them saying a word. Suddenly, Landon's phone rang.
Landon answered, "Hello."
"Mr. Landon, it seems that Mrs. White can see," a servant said.
Landon jumped up, excited, "Really?"
"Mr. Landon, you should come back and take a look."
"I'll be right back."
Seeing his excitement, Ashley asked, "What's going on?"
"Ashley, Mom seems to have gotten her eyesight back! Let's get home quick!" Landon was thrilled.
"Okay."
Ashley was pretty confident in her specially made medicine. As they walked out of the office, they ran into Liam. Seeing Ashley, he exclaimed, "Ashley? When did you get here?"
Ashley said, "I've been here for a while, talking to Landon. Liam, we need to get home quick, Mom seems to have gotten her eyesight back."
"That's awesome!" Liam exclaimed.
The three of them left together.
Landon went to get the car while Ashley and Liam waited at the door. During this time, Ashley asked, "Liam, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
Ashley asked seriously, "Liam, did you ever date Yara in school or after graduation?"
Liam's eyes flashed with disgust as he said, "She's the one who stole your man. I can't stand her, how could I have dated her? You're overthinking it!"
Liam had always been very protective of Ashley, and she trusted him completely.
Seeing his confident demeanor, the lead Ashley had been investigating was cut off!
Ashley's eyes dimmed, "Liam, I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Liam smiled.
Judging by Liam's attitude, it was clear that he had nothing to do with Yara.
Ethan, Liam, Samantha, and Yara had no interactions during college or after graduation, so there was no love triangle.
Maybe the incident at the graduation party was just a freak accident!
Thinking this, Ashley felt a headache coming on.
The paternity test report for Nora and Ethan was legit, proving Ethan had lied. But Ashley trusted Ethan so much that she couldn't believe he would lie to her.
Suddenly, Ashley had a bold idea!
Could there be a problem with the paternity test report?
Ashley's eyelids twitched as she thought about it, and she wanted to immediately drag Ethan and Nora for another paternity test, but Ethan was currently on a business trip!
Ashley was getting anxious!
"What are you thinking about? The car is here, let's get in." Liam's voice snapped Ashley out of her thoughts. She came back to her senses and let Liam lead her into Landon's car.
"Ashley, why do you look so worried?" Liam asked.
Ashley smiled and said, "I'm fine."
She took out her phone and sent a message to Ethan: [Honey, when are you coming back?]
After sending the message, Ashley waited for a long time. The car had already driven from the White Group to the White Mansion, but Ethan still hadn't replied. Ashley knew he was probably busy.
The three of them got out of the car and hurried back home.
Mia was excited, touching the items in the living room and muttering, "Is this a horse sculpture?"
The servant next to her nodded.
Mia touched another item, "Is this a vase?"
Seeing this, Liam excitedly stepped forward and held Mia's hand, "Mom, is your eyesight restored?"
Mia smiled gently, touching Liam's face, "Liam, I can see, but only their general shapes. If something is too small, I can't see it clearly. Let me see, my Liam, you've grown so handsome!"
Although everything she saw was blurry, she was still very happy.
Mia's condition had improved, and the whole family was overjoyed.
Liam said, "Ashley, your medical skills are amazing! It's only been a few days, and you've already helped Mom see things."
Ashley said, "Mom, you've just recovered, and your retina is still very fragile, so your vision is blurry, like severe nearsightedness. You shouldn't use your eyes for long periods. Rest well, soak in the medicinal bath for a few more days, and do a few more therapy sessions, and your eyes will fully recover."
Liam and Landon exchanged glances. They had only been trying it out, but Ashley's skills had amazed them once again.
