Chapter 131 The Devastating Report
At the Hospital.
Ivy and Felicity sat on a bench in the hallway, taking a break after their check-up.
Holding Felicity's hand, Ivy said, "You did great last night. The Xavier family will back your project big time. And don't worry about Ethan; I'll make sure he marries you."
Felicity looked down, her bangs hiding her face. "Aunt, Ethan seems so devoted to his wife. Do you really think he'll marry me?"
Ivy's scoff was sharp. "He will, whether he wants to or not."
Felicity's eyes gleamed. "Aunt, you promised to give back 30% of the Zito Group's shares if I marry into the Yates family and have a kid. You won't back out, right?"
Ivy replied, "When have I ever lied to you?"
Despite her words, a glint flashed in Ivy's eyes.
Felicity smirked inwardly but kept her face innocent. "Aunt, words are just words. I'll bring a contract next time. If you try any tricks, I won't let you have grandchildren."
Ivy laughed. "Alright, alright, I won't go back on my word."
Ivy was already planning that once Felicity had Ethan's child, she'd take over the Zito Group. Forget 30%—the whole company would be the Xavier family's!
Both had their own schemes.
Felicity said, "Auntie, I need to use the restroom."
"Take your time."
Felicity nodded, moving with grace, but her eyes were filled with malice.
On her way to the restroom, she saw Landon taking Samantha to the gynecology clinic.
Felicity's eyes lit up with a plan.
She turned into a corner.
A man in a white coat approached, taking a fat envelope from her. Felicity, dropping her gentle act, spoke coldly, "Do this right, and leave no traces."
The man replied, "Don't worry, I've already altered the records for you."
Felicity handed over another envelope. "There's one more thing I need you to do..."
An hour later.
Ivy held the examination report, grinning.
The results showed Felicity's secretions contained Ethan's bodily fluids.
"Perfect. With this report, Ethan can't deny it. He'll have to divorce Ashley!"
"Aunt, I'm so tired. Can we go home?"
"Of course, you've been here long enough. Let's go home. I'll have the maid make some soup for you, and then we'll plan how to get Ethan to marry you."
"Okay."
They left the hospital, one after the other. On the way out, Felicity glanced at the gynecology clinic and saw Landon and Samantha coming out, both looking troubled.
Felicity's lips curled into a sinister smile, her eyes gleaming with cunning.
'Enjoy your time, Samantha,' she thought. 'Once I get all the Zito Group shares, I'll take Landon back too!'
Meanwhile...
Samantha was in shock after hearing the test results. "How could this be? I really... with you..."
Landon rubbed his face in frustration. "I'm sorry. I'll take responsibility."
Samantha glared at him. "How? By giving me money again?"
Landon looked at her seriously, noticing for the first time how cute she was, even if she wasn't his type.
Suppressing his true feelings, Landon said, "If you're willing, I'll marry you."
Samantha was stunned but then said calmly, "Let's go back and tell Ashley the results first. We'll talk about the future later."
An hour later...
They returned to the agreed location, where Ashley waited anxiously. If she could move, she'd probably be pacing.
Seeing them return, Ashley asked excitedly, "Brother, Samantha, what were the test results?"
They exchanged awkward glances.
Everyone else was tense. Liam, emotionally charged, said, "Landon, say something! Did you do anything to her?"
Landon replied, "The doctor said she does have my secretions in her body."
Ashley, who had been holding her breath, felt like her world was collapsing.
Her face turned pale with guilt. "Samantha, I'm sorry..."
Samantha stepped forward to hug her. "Ashley, don't blame yourself. It's not your fault."
Ashley felt like her heart was being ripped apart.
She had a bold guess that this was a meticulously planned trap. To break it, they just needed to do the relevant tests at the hospital to get the results.
But she hadn't expected the test results to shatter her world!
This meant that medically, Landon and Samantha had indeed been intimate, which also meant that Ethan and Felicity had been intimate...
This 'fact' was hard for Ashley to accept. She muttered, "Samantha, I'm sorry, it's all my fault... I..."
'Ethan, you actually betraryed me!'
Ashley let out a bitter laugh, feeling her heart break. Suddenly, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted.
