Chapter 510 Daddy and Mommy's Secret

"Well," Ethan replied awkwardly, "that would be up to your mother to decide!"

While the children's request was innocent enough—simply wanting to sleep in the same bed with both parents—the adults' thoughts were considerably less pure. The mere idea of sharing a bed with Ashley sent Ethan's mind spiraling into passionate scenarios he struggled to control.

Ashley had just finished cutting fruit in the kitchen when she overheard their conversation. She froze in place as she entered the room.

Ethan's gaze found hers—intense yet restrained.

Ashley lowered her eyes, containing her emotions.

"Andy, Nate, have some fruit first," she said, setting down the plate.

Nate immediately resumed his plea. "Mommy, I was just asking Daddy if we could all sleep together tonight. Please say yes?"

"Mommy," Andy added with unusual maturity, "Nate's still little and has never really had a father figure. Now that we have Daddy, could you please make this happen for him?"

Ashley's lips twitched. Andy was the same age as Nate, yet he always spoke like someone much older.

"Andy, Nate, don't be silly," she said gently. "Prince Totti isn't your father."

She planned to clear up this misunderstanding later.

Nate began to cry. "I'm so unlucky! All I want is to sleep with Mommy and Daddy—such a simple wish—and it can't even come true?"

"Nate, stop crying," Andy said. "If Mommy says Uncle Totti isn't our dad, don't put them in an awkward position."

Seeing Nate's tears, Ethan gathered him into his arms comfortingly. "Nate, why are you crying again? Didn't you just promise me you wouldn't cry anymore and that you'd become a superhero to protect your mother? Have you forgotten already?"

Nate immediately stopped crying, recognizing he'd made his point. "Daddy, I just want to sleep with both of you. Mommy's probably just embarrassed to agree. Could you please convince her?"

Ashley's face turned crimson at these words. "Nate..."

Before Ashley could speak, Ethan interjected, "Pearl, the children are young, and it's such a small request. Why not grant them this wish?"

"But..." Ashley kept her head down, her face burning.

Seeing her embarrassment, Ethan's lips curled into a smile. "Pearl, are you really blushing? What are you embarrassed about? The children will be sleeping between us—it's not like I could try anything."

Ashley's expression grew even more flustered. "Your Highness, please watch what you say in front of the children."

They failed to notice Andy and Nate secretly laughing together.

"Wait," Nate asked innocently, "Daddy, is Mommy embarrassed because of something you did to her? What did you do?"

"Yes, Daddy," Andy chimed in, "I'm curious too. Could you show us?"

Ashley felt her mind spinning in confusion, certain she might explode from embarrassment.

The brothers maintained their innocent expressions, though Ashley suspected her own thoughts had wandered too far.

"Pearl, are you sure you want me to demonstrate?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, his gaze growing heated.

"Stop talking, all of you!" Ashley exclaimed, her face burning. "Fine, I agree!"

Ethan chuckled softly.

"Why don't you have some fruit while I prepare dinner," Ashley suggested hurriedly, escaping to the kitchen.

"Awesome! We get to sleep with Mommy and Daddy tonight!" Nate cheered.

"Daddy, Nate, let's play checkers while we wait," Andy suggested.

"Good idea."

Ethan led the children to the living room, but while the boys played checkers, his gaze kept drifting toward the kitchen.

Recalling Ashley's flustered expression from earlier—like an adorable white rabbit—he couldn't help wanting to hold her close and kiss her cheeks.

Lost in thoughts of Ashley, Ethan didn't notice how tender his expression had become.

After watching the children play for a while, he stood up. "Nate, Andy, keep playing. I'll go help your mother in the kitchen."

"Go ahead, Daddy," they responded.

Once Ethan left, Nate turned to his brother with curiosity. "Andy, what did Daddy mean when he said he 'couldn't try anything' with Mommy?"

Andy's face turned red, too embarrassed to explain properly. "Just what the words mean."

Nate mimicked his brother's thoughtful pose, stroking his chin. "Does that mean Daddy has been mean to Mommy when we weren't around?"

Andy blushed to his ears. "Something like that."

"What?!" Nate placed his hands on his hips indignantly. "I can't believe Daddy would be like that! I'm so disappointed. How dare he treat our mommy badly? I'll avenge her!"

Andy quickly held him back. "Don't be impulsive! It's not really being mean!"

"What do you mean?" Nate asked, confused.

Andy's face turned completely red. "It means... when Daddy and Mommy are very close, we might have a little brother or sister next year!"

Andy's eyes lit up with a new idea. "Nate, would you like a little brother or sister?"

Though Nate didn't fully understand, the prospect excited him. "Of course I would!"

"Then tonight, we should..." Andy began to outline his plan.
