Chapter 311 Confrontation with Landon
After grabbing lunch with Samantha, they went their separate ways. Samantha had to pack for her trip abroad, while Ashley headed back to the White Mansion to start Mia's second therapy session.
After more than two hours, Ashley said, "Mom, we're done for today."
"Thanks for all your hard work, Hayes," Mia said softly, holding Ashley's hand.
"Mom, why haven't Landon and Liam come back yet?" Ashley asked.
"They're probably tied up with work. Do you need to see them?" Mia replied.
Ashley nodded, "Yeah, I do."
"If it's urgent, you can go to his office. I'll have the driver take you," Mia suggested.
"Okay, Mom. You should rest for a bit after the therapy." Ashley helped Mia to the sofa, covered her with a blanket, and Mia said, "Go ahead, Hayes."
Ashley smiled, "Alright, Mom, I'm heading out."
As she turned to leave, a flash of light appeared before Mia's eyes. She blinked and shook her head, and the light vanished, leaving her vision dark. But she could still make out some vague shapes.
Emotionally stirred, Mia got up and reached out towards the things she saw...
At the White Group
Landon was in his office, going through documents, but he kept getting distracted.
"Mr. White, there's a lady named Ashley who wants to see you," his secretary said.
Ashley? Landon put down his pen. "Let her in."
Ashley walked in, looking serious and a bit angry.
"Ashley, what brings you here? Is something wrong?" Landon asked.
"Yeah," Ashley said coldly as she sat down. "Landon, I need to ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"If a guy does irresponsible things to two women, would you call him a jerk?" Ashley asked.
Landon frowned, "I guess so."
Ashley sneered, "Well, Landon, you just admitted you're a jerk!"
Landon looked confused, "Is that why you're here?"
"Yes!" Ashley's tone was sharp. "If the first time was an accident, it could be forgiven. But if you ruin a good girl and don't take responsibility, you're both a jerk and a bastard. Mom said the White family has strict rules. Shouldn't you be punished according to them?!"
Landon was stunned by Ashley's outburst and took a moment to recover. His gaze was intense, "Do you know about Samantha?"
"What difference does it make if I know or not!" Ashley looked at him with disappointment. "Landon, I didn't expect this from you."
A flash of displeasure crossed Landon's face, "Do you really know me? Ashley, you're Samantha's friend, but that doesn't mean you can blindly criticize me. We're all adults. What happened was consensual! We can both take responsibility for our actions, so what's the yelling about?"
"Besides, if it weren't for that visit to the Yates family, we wouldn't have had any interaction!" Landon said. "It was because of what happened at the Yates Mansion that we went along with it."
Ashley stomped her foot in anger, "Do you know you've made a huge mistake!"
"What mistake?"
Ashley's face turned red with urgency, "It wasn't Samantha who was with you that night, it was Felicity!"
Landon's face turned pale, "What are you saying!"
Ashley explained, "It was Ivy and Felicity's scheme. Ivy wanted Felicity to sleep with Ethan, but Felicity liked you. So after knocking you out..."
"Then, to cover it up from Ivy, she moved Samantha next to you, creating this false impression!" Ashley added.
Landon fell back into his chair in shock, his face turning white.
Ashley covered her face, regretting, "It's all my fault! If you hadn't come to the Yates Mansion that day, none of this nonsense would have happened. Landon, I haven't told Samantha about you and Felicity! I'm afraid she'll get hurt. She's leaving for Maridia in three days and won't be back for a while!"
"As for Felicity," Ashley looked at Landon and said, "She's pregnant."
Landon's eyes widened in shock. "We did a DNA test, and the child is indeed yours!" Ashley continued.
Landon rubbed his face in frustration, his expression complex, "It wasn't Samantha, but Felicity that night. How could this be?"
After leaving the Yates Mansion, Landon and Samantha had confirmed their relationship, and their first time in the hotel was in the bathtub...
He didn't give it much thought and always believed that it was Samantha who slept with him at the Yates Mansion.
Ashley sighed, "Landon, Felicity is very obsessive and crazy. What do you plan to do about her pregnancy?"
