Chapter 227 Ethan Was About to Explode with Anger
Ethan had just hopped out of his fancy ride when he spotted a familiar face in the distance.
Chris?
Ethan's eyes went cold, rage bubbling up inside him. "Chris, you got the nerve to show up here again!"
Thinking about how Chris had hurt Ashley and caused them to lose their twins, Ethan's hatred for him was off the charts. He wanted to end him right there.
"I'll kill you!"
Ethan lunged forward, ready to strangle him.
Diannel quickly grabbed him and said, "Mr. Yates, too many people around. Don't do anything crazy."
Ethan glared at Chris and demanded, "What are you doing here?"
Chris stood not far away, looking like a creepy ghost.
Chris gave a chilling smile and said, "I'm here to see you, Mr. Yates. Let's sit down and chat in that café over there."
Diannel, worried Chris might be up to something, warned, "Mr. Yates, be careful. It could be a trap."
"I'm not scared. Diannel, wait for me outside."
Ethan and Chris walked into the café one after the other.
They found a private booth. Just looking at Chris made Ethan's blood boil, wishing he could end him right there.
"What do you want? Spit it out. You got one minute."
Chris chuckled. "Mr. Yates, check out this picture."
Chris handed over a picture. "Looks familiar?"
Ethan glanced at the picture and felt a weird sense of déjà vu. His eyes fell on his wedding ring. The ring in the picture looked just like his.
"What are you getting at?"
Chris then pulled out a notebook. It was blank except for one page, which seemed to have been torn from another notebook and pasted in.
"Mr. Yates, read this, and you'll get it."
The notebook read:
[2006, Sunny. Today is a beautiful day. Chris and I secretly met behind the dean's back on the hill. It felt so thrilling. We watched a TV show together and had a sudden thought: if Chris and I get married one day, could we live happily ever after like in the show? Today, I suddenly became filled with fantasies about marriage, so I drew a wedding ring design for Chris and me. If we ever get married, we'll turn this design into reality and wear it on each other's fingers. Signed, Ashley.]
Reading the letter, Ethan's mind went blank, and he froze.
He turned his head mechanically, his eyes landing on his wedding ring.
The ring that had always made him happy now felt like a dagger in his heart.
Turns out, this wedding ring was designed by Ashley for herself and Chris!
In that moment, jealousy consumed Ethan. He laughed coldly, looking like a demon from hell.
Chris said, "Mr. Yates, Ashley and I are the ones truly in love. You tore us apart. If you had any sense, you'd give up on Ashley and let her come back to me!"
Ethan let out a cold laugh, his eyes turning red as he stared at Chris.
"Too bad, I enjoy tearing you two apart!"
"Diannel!" he suddenly shouted.
Diannel, standing nearby, immediately stepped forward. "Mr. Yates, I'm here!"
"Take him to the police station. He hurt my wife and kids. I need justice!"
Chris tried to run, but Diannel was quick, catching up with him and dragging him into the car, heading straight to the police station.
Ethan looked at the drawings and the diary on the table, shaking with rage.
At that moment, he overheard people whispering, and he caught a phrase, "I never thought the famous Ethan would get cheated on."
Ethan shot a cold glance at the gossiping crowd and noticed they were pointing at their phones.
Curious, Ethan took out his phone and checked the news.

"Damn it!"
He cursed under his breath and sped off to the hotel Ashley had just entered.
A crowd had gathered outside the hotel. Ethan's face was ashen as he stepped out of his luxury car, drawing everyone's attention.
