Chapter 228 The Angry Ethan

The young girl at the hotel bar was totally glued to her phone, just scrolling through when she stumbled upon the news about Ethan and Ashley. Right then, someone knocked on the front desk. She looked up, all confused, and bam—there was Ethan's face. She thought she was trippin'!

The girl was speechless!

Ethan's face was like a storm cloud, his eyes icy as he growled, "Which room are they in?"

They?

He had to be talking about Ashley and Yaakov.

The girl started shaking, stammering, "In... in... room 5188..."

Ethan was giving off some serious bad vibes, his voice like a king's decree, "Give me the room key."

By the book, she wasn't supposed to hand over a guest's room key to anyone but the guest. But this was Ethan, the big shot of Aurora. No way she was gonna say no to him.

Shaking like a leaf, the girl handed over the key to room 5188.

Ethan snatched the key and stormed off, leaving a chill in the air.

The girl collapsed onto the floor, muttering, "That scared the crap outta me... I actually saw Ethan in person... Oh my God, he's here to catch them red-handed. Hope no one ends up dead!"

"Let's go see what's up." Some nosy folks, seeing Ethan take the elevator, decided to follow and catch the drama.

Room 5188.

Ethan marched up to the door, staring it down. Just a minute ago, he was all fired up, but now he hesitated.

Ethan couldn't help but flash back to a memory from his childhood...

Young Ethan was at school when he suddenly got a stomachache. After grabbing some meds from the school nurse, he headed home.

But as soon as he got to the door, he heard laughter.

He was shocked 'cause laughter was a rare sound in that house. Curious, he followed the noise to see what was up, and then...

"James, you're so bad..."

"If I weren't bad, how would you love me?"

The woman's flirty laugh felt like a slap to Ethan's face.

The next second, a furious roar came from behind Ethan. "What are you doing!"

Ethan was frozen. He turned to see Ivy had suddenly come back. She pushed past little Ethan and stormed straight to James's door, yelling, "James, how dare you bring another woman home? You must have a death wish..."

Ivy was cursing James while going after the woman next to him.

"You homewrecking witch, I'll beat you to death..."

Ethan stood in the corner, watching the three of them brawl. The scene was both hilarious and pathetic, making him feel utterly humiliated.

But none of the three adults even noticed him standing there. They were too busy yelling and fighting, making little Ethan feel all alone and pitiful.

Back to the present.

Ethan stared at the door in front of him, a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside.

Once he busted through this door, how was he gonna deal with Ashley?

Ashley wasn't just the woman he loved; she was also the one who had helped the Yates Group through some rough patches. Ethan wasn't sure if he could forgive her!

As he wrestled with his feelings, a voice came from inside the room.

A strange man's voice—

"Your clothes are too long, how am I supposed to wipe? Lift them up!"

Ashley's voice chimed in. "Your technique sucks, and you blame my clothes?"

Ethan's conflicted emotions morphed into pure rage, veins popping on his forehead!

The thought of Ashley with another man drove him nuts with jealousy. His eyes went bloodshot, and without thinking, he swiped the card and barged in.

With a "ding," the door swung open, and Ethan stormed in.

"Who?"

The people inside sensed the commotion and turned towards the door, wary.

To Ashley's surprise, it was Ethan who burst in.

"Honey?" Ashley asked, confused, "Why are you here all of a sudden?"

She noticed the room key card in his hand and got even more puzzled, asking, "How did you get our room key?"

Ethan had stormed in, ready to throw down with the guy.

But as soon as he stepped inside, he saw a bunch of therapy tools on the table, and Ashley's hands were covered in ointment.

This scene made Ethan freeze.

He quickly realized he had totally misunderstood the situation!

"The door's open, let's go see!"

There was noise outside as a bunch of paparazzi rushed in, snapping photos of the room. But from their angle, Ethan's back blocked most of the view, hiding Ashley but showing the other guy in the room.

Ethan's eyes turned icy as he glared at the paparazzi, shouting, "Want to die? Get out!"

With that, he slammed the door shut, keeping the chaos outside.

Ashley looked bewildered and asked, "What's going on?"

Ethan's anger had mostly cooled, but thinking of Chris's words reignited his fury.

With a cold face, he pulled out his phone and showed the news to Ashley. "Don't you read the news?"

Ashley, shocked after reading the news, exclaimed, "Oh my God, what a mess! Honey, Yaakov and I are here for therapy, not for a rendezvous. Don't get it twisted."

Ethan glared at her and said, "I'm not blind, I can see!"

Ashley was puzzled. She thought to herself, 'Then why are you still so mad?'
